Who is that skull faced dude showing on the icon? Is he the Chaplain featured in WA? If so then I find it really wierd for the devolopers to put the face of a character who's NOT in the game but in the NEXT game. It's like putting the blood mage on WCIII icon, now how wierd is that? Besides that means that the devolopers were willing to make an expansion in which there is the Chaplain before the first game was even released!

If you're talking about the cover art for DoW I believe it is a Force Commander, or one of the squad sergants.

No I'm not talking about that! I'm talking about the icon of the game; the little picture you click on inorder to start the game. It can be found on your desktop (if you chose to put it there) or in the start button.

It's a SM shoulderpad with skull on it.
Or, it's a hint that Necrons will come? lol

It's more scary and intimidating to put only half the skull there. Plus it gives them that whole knights-of-the-realm-super-tech-gothic-walking-I'll-crush-you-with-my-pinkey look!

It's kind of like a symbol of the Imperium they also use an eagle or wings on some Imperial Guard units
Similar to the way some contemporary countries put their national flag on their defense force uniforms and planes
