View Full Version : [BUG] Critical to the point of the game being unplayable

Scenario:

Scout harras - two squads of scouts, decap, come under fire and are ordered to attack, reinforcments arrive, scouts ordered to move opposite of enemy, move orders ignored, they start moving and after two steps re-engage and of course die.

Scenario 2: Same as above F4-then move order issued. Scouts refuse to listen.

Scenario 3: Note the stance setting for those spiders. When issued an attack order they walked over and decided they are a cc unit.

This is a frequent occurence, 1.3 does nothing to fix it, and I am just wondering if anyone is even attempting to fix this because coupled with sad pathfinding this bug has been reported time and again since day 1.

And a note to relic, this:

Thorough overhaul of the Stance system which fixed many bugs with the Melee and Ranged stances. Overhaul includes the removal of Versatile Stance.

Is as evident not entirely true. This was the most critical and remains the most annoying of all ranged stance bugs, so I have to wonder what exactly is meant by the vague "many"?

If it rains don't be fixing the handle of an umbrella, fix it so that it actualy opens - if you catch my drift.

Why critical to the point of game being unplayable? Because you might as well put units on auto-pilot because obviosly the steering wheel you provide is not connected to the wheels of the car and we know how such a car would end up on a highway, don't we.

Analogies there to detract self from a major flame because i am sick and tired of this.

I to have experienced this problem; more often then not it is just a minor annoyance but there are times when it makes or breaks a game for me. It either happens to my opponent in which case I manage to wipe out his squad and that leads me to victory, or it happens to me and my opponent gets the upper hand because of it. I feel your pain, Sps, but I doubt Relic will release a patch just to fix this problem.

I don't expect them to. But when they release 1.4/WA they better have gotten this BS under control.

One way to make sure they do fix this problem is to make sure it is well documented. Post a few replays of games where this becomes a issue, Sps.

that would mean posting every single game I ever played and listing the time of occurence....

As you said, sometimes you recover, but there are times, significant in number, when that crap costs you the win.

Maybe i'll post one or two where the issue is extremely obvious... but if they can't be bothered to fix this for almost a year, I can't be bothered to do the work for them.
