Define "strategy wise".

i'd say, either marines or eldar. since marines have more than one infiltrator unit(scouts and skull probes) which can be used for any number of tactics, i.e infiltrating past enemy force and doing a multiple wave drop pod assault of marines, dreadnoughts, terminators and characters. plus you can bypass most of the terrain with land speeders and assault marines to flank on coming enemies. basically everything marines do in tt.
and, for the eldar, they have many handy tactics. you can ambush an enemy with warp spiders and teleport before they suffer too many casualties. every building can be cloaked via webway gates, units can be transported instantaniously, so you can have you troops anywhere you want in a short amount of time, and of course all but one of their armour units can jump, any infantry of their can out run another races infantry so you could use that in combination with webways to lead the enemy around the map.
but in the end the chance someone will actually do something clever like this are equal to seeing one of these :elephant:

It's gotta be SM, they just have so many options...
They can choose to be CC oriented and Spam Dreadnoughts, ASM, make all the heroes, and then get AT for the coupe de grace. Or they can go full shooty with tactical marines hellfires, preds, landspeeders, termies...
And the thing is, they unlock most of their units with a normal build, so they can quickly pull a landspeeder surprise, or something liek that if they feel like it.
Not to mention the fact that they can just sit a vanilla marine squad near the battle and upgrade it to be a counter to whatever they percieve as the biggest threat.

Eldar
but hmm...
Eldar had better strategy options in DoW , now , in WA dark reapers r good agnist inflantry as well as agnist heavy inf.
But i think that they still has most strategy options.

eldar, or at least in theory...
as far as im concered space marines have no strategy, its just deep strike this, infiltrate these so you can deep strike that, stun this, deepstrike that bla bla bla bla bla, eldar its like, psychic power this, seer council this, shit, theres tanks, fire dragon that, warp spider this, all the aspect warriors etc ;)

Am I the only one that thinks that orks (when not nob spammed as in 1.40) requires huge attention of the player? To make full use of the orks you have to harass, withdraw before suffering to many cassualties, make use of vehicles as support (wartrakk and wartukk), upgrade a LOT of things to make them better. IF someone else has another oppionion, please share!

yeah actually, ork are a bit like that aye, its just they are overlooked because of the whole quantity thing, its not ususally considered to be a largely strategical tactic
yeah..but the ork system is pretty unnerving to most players... What i fiond most annoying abput the orks is, althought they do need alot of attention, you can never really have much fun with the,...because its really hard to get a full army going as Ork pop. stops when you have a certain amount of waaagh! banners... so they may need more strategy but IMO you never have fun with them.#
SM = Spam marines
Eldar = fun
Choas = RUINED!
have fun

I think eldar. One game i remember was this eldar player had cloaked webways everywhere. The enemy attacked and he ran into one then teleported behind them and attacked their rear then ran back and attacked somewhere else. ran rings around them basically :)

Ork armies are only strategic because it takes an enormous amount of thinking and skill not to be utterly creamed with them, truth be told, SM could just spam dreddies for the whole game without really being at a loss.

SM. They have a lot of options with the heavy weapon system, a lot of different vehicles to choose from, and of course the deep strike which allows for lots of sneaky manouvers. Not to mention all of the uses for a skull probe. SM is also one of the more micro intensive races in WA considering most games are now just overwatch + attack move.

Aguard any good. (i dont know yet cause i havent got winter asual yet) i mean with al their large and cheaps squads and numerous tanks. See with SM and CSM its quality but with armies like the orks and IG its quantity. And i cant pick which is better Quantity or quality? Each has its good and bd points.

Quantity or quality?
the real question is, of what quantity can you not comprimise quality, since imperial guardsmen own normal space marines its pretty much like that

I think in terms of micromanagement Relic planned the races to be in this order:
1 Elder
2 Chaos
3 Space Marines
4 Orks
5 Imperial Guard (maybe)
All races have strategys which incorporate micromanagement. When you say strategy I think mainly micromanagement but other aspects are like...
Building Placement
Strategy involving strategic locations and relics etc
Resources
Micromanagement
Macromanagement
etc
