In Company of Heroes, is there gonna be any totally awesome sync-kills?
e.g bullet takes last bit of HP off and soldier bends back like in the matrix and flops to the ground.
or
e.g melee attack, slash of head and head goes spinning off.
or
e.g tank blows some dude up? (actually blows him up, not just flying)
btw, just wondering, is CoH going to have the same inspired gameplay of Dow? with reinforced squads, squad leaders and weapon upgrades? what factions are there? japan? deutschland? the US, english, french, OZland?-lol.
overall, cant wait for CoH, it sounds good already, the title. lol
**pardon me, but I'm a 'lol' junkie, i totally luve the word. hehe lol.

So far, we know the you will be able to play the US and Germany. The involvement of other nations has been hinted at, but nothing you can make more than wild guesses about. There might be sync kills, but I think they are exclusively used in CC in Dawn of War. And I suspect CC will barely play a role in CoH if any at all, as it is not authentic for WWII troops to charge into an enemy with bayonets swinging.

Right above this thread actually...
Coshise: Wake up call. :)
I wouldnt like to see decapitation sync kills - we're talking about WW2 here...close combat will be bayonets, thumping people with the butt of the gun, kicking etc...nothing that would take a head off - save that for the next DoW game.
I would be surprised if more realistic sync kills werent included though - I expect CoH to be everything that DoW is only moreso. It would be odd for them to take a step backwards in that area when visuals and atmosphere seem to be something they are really pushing to get right.

Pretty much all the available information there is on the game is in this forum or linked through it.

wow,wow,wow...WWII only? how about the traditional aussies who fought at gallipoli.....they had "wonderful sync-kills". Charging into battle, swords and bayo's drawn right into turkish machine-gun fire. Let's not say sync-kill, let's say realistic body scarring. and shot-holes.etc. The like. One more thing, isd Coh gonna have the persistent body option, coz i liked it in WA.
I reccomend that you take a look here

Then, if you still have questions, come back and ask.

WWI not WWII
Physics makes the use of a synch kill in CoH almost non-existant. When arty hits near a soldier and they die, they fly. Same if they are hit with a tank shell. It's a completely differnet ball game when physics play a part in every death.
oooh - physics...now THATS awesome.

Bayonets, though seldom used were still used by the Americans, but the only example i can think of is when about 20 guys charged an MG-42 nest with bayonets.(they only lost 2 guys which is pretty amazing)

But Tranj, can they be thrown around and still survive? Come to think of it, do they cower when the arty comes a poundin'? How many infantry types are there? What colour are their shoes? Can some of them have sunglasses? I want sunglasses dammit! :p
