It would be a gaming PC. I need a good CPU, grapihcs card and about 1-2 gigs RAM. Also 100< Hard drive.

Suggestions? (I'm pretty new with these things so do you now if the parts are compatible with each other?)
(Oh, and sorry for double post.)

Looks good. Personally, I'd save on the ram and go for OCZ, and switch to an AMD64 platform.

Also, the X1800 series is now 'end of life', ie ATI is not making them anymore. I'd personally bump upto X1900 if you want to stay ATI, or jump onto the Geforce7 bandwagon. The X1900XT/7900 GTX could be had from around €350-400ish, and the 7900GT/X1900GT for around €230-250ish.

As for compatibility, you need to look at 3 things: CPU, Motherboad, and RAM. For the cpu you want to use, you need to buy the right motherboard with the right socket (as you've done here :)). micro-ATX means its like a "mini" motherboard, ATX is a normal sized board. ATX boards will have more features, and be generally more powerful overall. As for the RAM, P4 motherboards use DDR2, AMD uses DDR, and the newest AMDs use DDR2 (these are called AM2). For speeds, you'd want DDR2-800, or DDR-400, respectively.

Okay... I'm just looking for a new motherboard that isn't micro ATX. (BTW I lokked at there and it seemed that ATI X1800XT was the newest? Weird?)

Edit2: Some changes. (Motherboard and RAM.)

Is ATi radeon X1800XT still good card? or should I get that 1900 for about 100-200 € more? Any other comments?

The X1800XT is roughly equivalent to a 7900GT; the X1900XT is roughly equivalent to a 7900GTX.

Here is an excellent review that pits nearly all recent video cards against each other, its a good read: http://techreport.com/reviews/2006q1/geforce-7600-7900/index.x?pg=1

I spoke with my friend who knows something about comps and he suggested these parts. So what do you think?

Shadow, you just went backwards with the graphics card. If you are going for an nVidia card, go for a 7900GT.

Yep, I know. But Geforce 7900GT costs about 100€ more. And from waht I've heard GF 6800 is almost as good as 7900. (Should I still go for 7900?)

Edit: 6800GS is good enough for me. I've already made the order and it will arrive in 1-4 working days. Thanks to everybody who helped me. I will probably (if needed) ask building instructions in here. Thanks again.
