View Full Version : Discoveries Of Terrail - The New Era
Ok, i'm going to start this, this can be subject to editing as i will discuss more with Erikjust. Have fun though guys.
Many years have passed since the loss of Terrail, following the battles and fights which eventually lead up to Terrail being engulfed in a mist, where its inhabtitants were either killed, forced to flee or remain and fight. Terrail was thought all but dead as the deamons smashed apart the vast civilisations which remained there, but somehow despite all the odds the inhabitants fought back and survived.
Many years have passed since then, and things have picked up, but not all is good, human have become dominant in such a world, building large cities, technology advancing greatly, not all of the races have gained though, the high elves which remained have survived against all the odds, but are having troubles with adapting to the changing world, their adversary dark elves have gone no further, but are making progress, often hired as mercenaries.
Others have faired poorly, the insectoids have barely survived, those which have are slowly dieing out, the arvens live a solitary life, but the dwarfs are one of the few which have also prospered being reat inventors and business men, they have had time to re-heal and lick their wounds, but some have stuck to the old ways and are distrustful of humans.
Despite all of this there have been new risings, the equariums have become bolder and have ventured further inland, little is known of their civilisations though. It is a grim world, each race trying its best to survive, the once great legends of dragons flying the land and large battles with sword and steel are over...a new era has begun.
Species:
The Arvens: Flying, and Agility.
Equipment: can use Light Assualt Weapons and light armour.
Weakness: since they fly, there bones are hollow although they can fly and where armour there bones break easier then other species therefore direct combat something they do a lot.
The Arvens: The Arvens are bird like creatures which have gorwn in size to the height of men and usually larger, they are swift, but are a dieing race
Though most of the Arvens chose to leave, when the wheel of fate where smashed and demons and fog began to roam the land, some chose to stay having seen Jowy unlock the powers of the ancient ravens they hoped to do the same and purged the demons from there lands.
In many years the followed the remaining Arvens fought against the demons hoping to beat them back, yet it was a losing battle and bit and bit the Arvens found themselves driven back to there last strong holes, driven back by there shear number of demons and inner disputes amongst the other species and themselves.
All seemed lost when ships appeared in the horizon, they came from Pangaea, and onboard where many soldiers all keen on retaking there old home land.
The shear number of forces that set to shore where more then enough for the falling moral amongst the Arvens to rise again, putting there differences aside the Arvens stood united whit the other species of Terrial and the men from Pangaea, and together they where finally able to lock the demons away for good this time or so they thought.
Having defeated the demons the Arvens set out to rebuild there home on Terrial, yet it wasn’t long before another force as powerful as the demons themselves arose, this time it came in from of a steam engine and a strange decide amongst those who used magic.
Problems:The steam engine and other machines began to contaminate the air and water around them, there magic malfunctioned or wouldn’t be cast at all.
But it wasn’t just around machines that magic became unstable, all over Terrial reports purred in that magic was becoming unstable, even experienced magic races like the elves found even there most basic magic failing or changing.
Only at places where either nature or magic was strongest, the magic was stable.
The unstable magic should in the coming years spell disaster for the Arvens as they desperately tried to cure what ever illness had made the magic unstable, there efforts proved futile in the end and when an Arven conjured an unstable version of the avatar ending up killing and entire village of Arvens, the Arvens finally decided to migrate to the places where magic was strongest hoping to one day be able to cure magic and return it to what it once where.
Recently a powerful Arven named Askarab suspected of being a descendant of Jowy, has taken control over the Arvens and claimed the mantle of leadership, leading his people to areas where magic is strong he rules the Arvens whit and iron fist he hopes to turn the tide for the Arven race by what ever means necessary.
The Insectoids: Can fly short distances, Can climb up walls and are quite fast.
Equipment: the insectoids carry mdeium to light weight items usually, but can use heavier weapons like swords and axes.
Weakness: the insectoids normally uses magic a lot this has weakened them as magic now has become unreliable, also though there body are hard there wings are very fragile therefore fire is also something for them to watch out for.
The Insectoids: The few insectoids that remained behind where the ones who either wouldn’t or couldn’t leave, as the demons began roaming the lands, they sought to outride the wave by barricading themselves on there island.
Casting strong shields of magic, they thought to barricade themselves from any further attacks from the outside, and cloak there presents from the senses of the demons.
The barrier held the demons ignorant of there presence for some years, until it suddenly and whiteout warning crumbled and vanished in thin air.
The insectiods suddenly found them selves gaining the attention of the demons, which wasted no time in coming in strong numbers, bend on destroying the insectiods.
The Insectiods fought long and hard against the demons, trying there best to fend of this demonic horde from destroying there home, but in the end they where forced to flee from there island.
They sought refuges at the high elves, but quickly found themselves involved in another war for not only did the high elves fight against the demons, but also against there dark brethren the Dark elves.
It was in this battle they learned the cause of the barriers failing, it had been the high elves doing in order to save themselves from and imminent attack from one of the larger demonic foresees, they had dispelled the barrier in the hopes that it would draw away most of the demonic forces that threatened them.
The insektiods where revolted by this act of betrayal and in a battle whit the dark elves they left, leaving the high elves to fend for themselves.
In the years to come the insektiods hid amongst the humans, and then driven away by mistrust amongst the humans, they at last sought refuges, in a distant forest.
In the years that followed they fought against the demons to the best of there skills, yet despite winning a lot of battles they found themselves being driven deeper and deeper inside the forest.
The insectoids at last found themselves in a dilemma: continue to flee and maybe live for a few extra years or make a last stand against the demons, hoping for some miracle to save them from total annihilation.
The miracle came in the form of there lost brethrens on Pangaea, as they arrived in huge ships forcing the demons on a run.
Whit the help of there brethrens the insectiods forced the demons away from there forest.
Uniting whit the forces from Pangaea and the rest of the races on Terrial, the demons where at last vanquished from this world, using powerful magic combined whit that of the high elves the insectiods helped sealing the gateways between there world and that of the demons at long last Terrial was saved and they could rebuild there society…or so they thought.
In the years after the demons defeat the insectiods struggled to build a home on there island, it had been badly damaged in the years the demons had occupied it.
Yet a second disaster should follow for some reason, the magic the very thing they had been able to wield to there will as long as anybody could remember suddenly turned against them. Simple spells that most insectiods knew as well as the back of there hand suddenly became unreliable and sometimes even dangerous.
When a freak accident whit magic had threatened to destroy there bellowed island, the insectiods began researching in what caused this disturbance in magic, they soon ruled out the high elves as responsible as they had equal problems whit magic, and when the reports came in of an avatar amongst the Arvens destroying an entire village any suspicion of them being responsible where also dismissed.
The insectiods then turned to the creatures that didn’t use magic and thus weren’t affected by the disturbance in magic, there suspicion soon fell on the humans as they discovered the effect high there machines had on magic.
And when they began looking further into the matter they found themselves hunted by the dark elves, apparently they had become the pawns of the humans, this further enhanced there suspicion and an insectiod volunteered to undergo magical alteration to change his shape as a human in order to investigate further into the matter.
By some increasable means of luck the spell succeeded and the spy was send to his mission, after a year the spy returned, yet he was dying.
On his deathbed the spy reviled that the humans wasn’t responsible for the magic failing, true there machines disturbed magic, but in the same way strong magic disturbed there machines.
But neither where strong enough to taint the magic in the levels required for this situation, whit his last words he revealed that the reason for him dying was because of the contamination the human machines produced, and unless the insectiod left this place it would be a matter of years before they suffered the same fate as him.
Problems:
It was upon heavy hearths the insektiods where forced to leave there home once more, they settled in the forest that had been there home during the demons roaming on the earth, there they set out to rebuild there homes.
Yet the past had taught them and important lesson and as such they barred there home for any outsiders, no one was allowed to enter there forest.
Recently a few insectoids have begun leaving the forest either joining magical academies, or travelling the world they search of the cause of the magical disorder, they are convinced that if it can be cured it can turn the tide of the insektiods demise that will surly follow if no cure is found.
Elves: Fast reflexes, Sharp senses, can blend in a forest easily.
Equipment: Elves usually carry light to medium weight items preferring to carry light weight armour and weapons, agility and magic are some of their prime atributes.
The Elves: When the mist came some high elves remained, seeing themselves as guardians of magic and servants of the gods, they sought to free the land of the gods from the minions of the dark gods that included the dark elves.
Though before Agartha left she tried her best to convince other high elves of what she had discovered and that this land was doomed, yet the high elves that remained where the ones who dismissed her story some even went as far as calling her a heretic of the true fate.
Yet despite those accusations the high elves helped the ones who wanted to leave terrial, building ships and made sure they could leave whiteout having to fear the demons attacking them.
As the last ships had left the remaining high elves began armouring themselves for war, they build a new home from the remains of there old one, they erected huge towers using advance magic to create golems to help build there home while they themselves fought against the demons.
As the home was finally stood ready, the high elves encountered the dark elves; all there hate was fuelled at this encounter for where they not the very cause of the demons running lose on this land created by the gods, where they not the once that had previous caused the dead of many of the high elves by there betrayal.
The dark elves seemed to want the war just as much as the high elves wanted, and so a new war started amongst the Dark elves and the High elves.
It was under one of these battles, which a scout informed them of a large army of demons coming towards them and how the insectiods had all this time hid themselves behind a barrier, which shielded them from any intruders from the out side and cloaking them from the demons site.
Knowing full well that they could never survive if this army reached them, they formed a plan to save themselves from the coming onslaught, the barrier of the insectoids if it where to disappear and the army of the demons being lured there way, the high elves would only face a small amount of the army.
At the same time they could deliver a blow to the dark elves, for if even a small portion of the army was lead towards the dark elves, there was a very good chance that the dark elves would be severely weakened by this and thus the tides of war would be turned to there favour.
Using there most powerful magicians and a small army of there fastest warriors the plan was set in motion.
Hiding in the woods surrounding the Insectiod Island, the mages conjured a powerful spell that would dispel the barrier around the insectiods, meanwhile the small army of high elves managed to split the army of demons in three: one part heading toward the insectiods, another part towards and outpost of the dark elves and the last part continued on there path towards the high elves home.
As the army of demons neared the Insectiod Island the mages dispelled the barrier, reviling the island of the insectiods for the army of demons.
As the two parts of demon army attacked the dark elves and insectiod, the remaining part was struck down whit the high elves home.
The high elves where pleased whit themselves for where they not chosen by the gods, where they not meant to survive above all else, what mattered the sacrifice of a few minor races as long as they would survive for that was what truly mattered above all else.
A few years after the insectiods came to the high elves home, some feared they had discovered the high elves involvement in there barrier failing, yet to there relief the insectiods knew nothing and had come to ask for sanctuary in the home of the high elves.
The high elves accepted there plea and so the insectoids began to live in the city for a short while, until they in a battle whit the dark elves suddenly left leaving a gaping hole in the towns defence.
The dark elves where not late to exploit this weakness to enter the city and cause mayor havoc before they where pushed back.
The high elves where furious of the insectiods betrayal and had they had the time they would have taken revenge on the insectiods, but there would be no such revenge for another great army of demons where shown to be heading there way.
Whit no dark elves or insectiods near this time to draw the demons to, the only two forces near enough where the dwarfs and the humans, so once again the high elves send out and army to split up the demons forces.
Yet the one who where suppose to lead the demon forces towards the humans never got there, a few kilometres from the army they where ambushed by several dark elves, the ambush ended whit the death of the entire army of high elves that where supposed to draw away some of the demons.
Now the high elves faced a huge number of demons, and this time during there weakened state after the battle whit the dark elves, the high elves suffered mayor casualties before the demon army where finally destroyed.
And as this not bad enough it was reported that somebody had lead almost half of the force of demons the dwarfs where suppose to kill towards them.
The high elves prepared themselves for battle; many believed it would be there last stand, but the demons never came then the reports came, ships hundreds of them had set ashore on terrial.
It was the ships from Pangaea, the gods had not wanted there servants to sufferer so they had brought back the strayed children to help there servants fight off this unholy demonic force.
It was whit great harm and some anger, that the high elves discovered that not only where there dark elves amongst the forces from Pangaea but they worked together whit the high elves, what really angered many where that they where forced to take against orders from a dark elf calling himself Janos.
Yet convincing themselves, that it was for the greater good of there species they eventually stood united and vanquished the demons lifting the fog that covered the lands.
In the months that followed Janos tried hard to create peace between the dark elves and high elves, much to the dismay of the high elves who found themselves revolted by the very thought of ever having anything to do whit these creations of the dark elves.
Janos continued to try until he was forced to leave, to aid Pangaea in a desperate situation.
Then came the calamity the signs where weak at first, but then they came the high elves magic there very gifts of the gods began to fail and grow unstable, towers that where maintained by magic began to crumble.
The high elves where powerless to do anything praying to there gods for answers, some committed suicide when none came fearing that there gods had abandoned them forever.
Other high elves tried to look on there lands for answers, they found it whit in the humans villages, these machines whit the smelling smoke was distrusting the magic of anyone who went near them.
The high elves set out to sabotage them, using powerful magic whit which they had found could damaged the machines beyond repair, yet it wasn’t long before the dark elves began to intervene these cursed creatures had alleged themselves whit the humans and it was clear that they didn’t suffer from this magical disaster.
After a few years some high elves took control over others forming a counsel, they decided that there where better ways of fighting, the humans machines then sabotage if they could work there magic in places where the machines where plenty, they would create a place where machines couldn’t work either.
And so the first magical academy was formed, later it became a school for those who whished to learn magic or try to discover why it had begun to fail in the first place.
Problems: In resent time the high elves have begun to invent crystals of hard magic, having them emit waves of magic they have found that it somehow stabilises magic a little, yet they still have some problems of there own calling forth a demons as a servant is no easy job, and recently the formula to call and bind a demon to this world has been leaked to other not so experienced wizards who can’t control them.
These demons though not as powerful as those fought during the years of the fog, are drawn by magic and often attack the city giving the high elves quite some problems, though not as powerful killing the demons and sending them back to there own world is no easy job.
Dark elves: almost the same as the elves whit a few exceptions: They have not such a strong bond to magic as the elves do, instead they have developed there speed and attack to be the point where they are faster then there elven kin.
They prefer to be out at night, as direct sunlight can if exposed to it for too long cause agony.
Dark elves don’t blend into the forest they blend into the shadows therefore in a place full of shadows the dark elves have a clear advantage
Dark elves: Many people believe that there is only one elder of the dark elves, and that she lives on Pangaea, this is in the mean time not true for while it is true that Janos travelled whit and elder of the dark elves to Pangaea and that many dark elves followed him for that reason.
The elder Janos travelled whit was not the only one, there where another and she lived in the very town of which Janos where born.
Though Janos and the other elder tried to convince her to leave whit them, she refused for where they saw problems she saw opportunities.
So as the other races where busy helping there fellow men leave, she send out spies to gain a clear overview of things.
She soon found out that all of the races had people remaining on Terrial, that also included there hatred foe the high elves.
As the last ship left, the elder prepared her followers for conquest of Terrial, they would take the power and then at long last Terrial would be there’s to control.
The Dark Elves soon encountered the high elves and soon war between the two races broke out once again.
The fights where long and hard, for both the dark elves and high elves had to defend there homes and bases against the ravenous attacks from the demons, yet neither would yield to the other.
Though the high elves where successful in pushing back the attacks of the dark elves, the dark elves had there moments of triumphs too.
One of these where when the insektiods (who had allied themselves whit the elves) had found out of there crime the high elves had committed against them, revolted about the acts from the high elves that had caused the devastations of there the insektiods had left there posts leaving the dark elves to freely enter the high elves home.
The dark elves had taken the opportunity to wreak havoc on the home of the high elves, before they finally had been forced back.
Another moment of glory where when the dark elves had thwarted the high elves attempts to divert a demon army towards other targets.
Killing of one the armies of the high elves in an ambush, and diverting another half of the demon army the dark elves succeeded in using the demons to deal a serious blow to the high elves.
Yet in the end the Dark elves had been forced to realize that in the end they where no match for the demons, forced back to there last strongholds, the dark elves faced utter devastation from the demon armies had it not been for the reinforcements from Pangaea.
The dark elves elder had died some years before the forces from Pangaea had arrived but had left a successor, realising that her people would soon become extinct if something wasn’t done quickly to turn the tide in there war.
Officially pardoning Janos and every other dark elves who had followed him to Pangaea for leaving there people, promoting Janos to leader of the troops of the dark elves the tide soon turned for the dark elves, as they drove the demons back re-conquering there old outposts, the dark elves soon found themselves alongside there hatred enemy the high elves fighting together to drive the demons the last step back into the world from wench they came holding them off till the high elves and insektiods had sealed the portals from wench the demons came.
The battle was won but not the war; there was still a lot of hatred between the high elves and dark elves, though Janos tried his best to negotiate peace between dark elves and high elves he was in the end unsuccessful, neither the dark elves nor high elves were bend on the idea of peace whit one another also the war whit the demons and high elves had drained the recourses of the dark elves and unless something where done starvation would soon kill the weaker dark elves.
Though Janos was unsuccessful in bringing peace, he where successful in forcing the two races into a truce, a few weeks before he was forced to return to Pangaea he convinced the dark elves that the humans would give the dark elves the recourses they needed if they hired there skills to them.
Many dark elves didn’t like the idea anymore then the truce they had been forced to sign whit the high elves, yet the elder of the dark elves convinced her people that this was the only way to avoid the disaster they faced if there recourses wasn’t increased soon.
And so it was that the Dark elves began to hire there service to the humans, though they distrusted and disliked them, Janos had been correct the humans was indeed ready to pay almost anything they demanded for the use of there skills.
As Janos eventually went to Pangaea and disappeared in the battle he had been called to attend, the dark elves continued to lend out there skills to the humans and anyone who would pay for there services.
As Magic became unstable and disaster spread through the ranks of the magic users, the Dark elves prospered and grew strong using there skills as assassins, some dark elves began to form houses of special trained assassins who where amongst the finest money could buy.
Problems: In resent time a new Elder has arisen using her influence and knowledge, she has spread the words amongst the dark elves that the reason Janos disappeared where that the high elves who where supposed to protect the flanks of the dark elves.
Didn’t held there end of the bargain and instead of protecting the advancing force, had left the Dark elves to defend themselves, forcing Janos to go up against the enemy whit under half of the force needed to beat them.
This has caused many of the dark elves to hold a grudge against the high elves, for even though history doesn’t says that Janos was a high regarded Hero of the dark elves many a dark elf has turned him into one, and a such taking any opportunities to pay back the high elves for that betrayal.
Dwarfs: Dwarfs are a though race and have almost no ties to magic instead they concentrate on mechanical objects to which they have mastered to near perfection.
Equipment: Though short of size the dwarfs can carry heavy armour and use both pistols and heavy weapons. They are deadly in close combat and there guns and pistols are nothing to disrespect if you don’t want to end up whit bullet in your head.
Weakness: the dwarfs have shorter legs and are therefore not as fast as other races in pure running speed. Dwarfs are a VERY stubborn race and although this might be seen as a strength it is also a weakness since Dwarfs often are the last to recon that the battle is lost and retread is in order.
Dwarfs: The dwarfs which remained on Terrail never forgave the rest of their race which lef ttheir homes, then their vast caves were overun by the deamons, scant few survived and were forced to re build their homes in new places.
Buliding their new homes they have since flourished since the old days, though some are still distrustful of humans many have taken the oportunity and have become great mechanics and usually do business with humans.
Problems: Many still stick to the old ways and distrust humans which can lead to open conflict, they have build their caves deeper under ground so to avoid attention of other races, metals are running low in this world though and as the humans keep using more the dwarfs are forced to find new dig sites.
Human: humans need no description since they are exactly like you and me.
They can use all kind of weapons and equipment and has the same weaknesses as we do.
Many had stayed on Terrail and banded together to fend of the deamons, after doing so they rebuilt their cities, except in bigger this time, they build vast sprawling cities which choked out smoke and caused great amounts of pollution. The humans have expanded wider since then, growing more bolder and taking more control over Terrail, minor governments rules each city, but hate and rivaries can usually show up.
Problems: The humans are becoming dominant, but they are also turning upon one another, governments usuaally wage battles against one another, crime is rife among the populance, there being a under class of people and a higher class of people, the under class treated like dogs, this has also lead to open conflict, and often murder.
Equariums:Agility, Can stay in the water for vasts amount of time, are able to swim and great speed and can also go on land for limited amounts of time.
Equipment: Light to medium items, they often brandish large spears which many are specilists at, and also wield limited amounts of magic.
Weakness:Can stay on land for limited amounts of time, Heat, and strength.
Equariums: How exactly they survived the deamons remains to be seen, the equariums only recently revealing themselves to the world, becoming bolder. Many have been saddened at what their world has become, but take little notice, preferring to stay in their own under water empire.
Problems:Many races, especially the humans take a disliking to them, they are unknown, and their motives are varied, many are agressive. They also know their world is changing, and the water and envronment has become more polluted in recent years.

A character for all to control
Name: Janos
Race Dark elves
Age: unknown but is suspected of being over 10.000 years old which would make him the oldest dark elf that has ever lived.
Weapons: two katanas, yet he can use other weapons to if you like.
Armour/Clothes: it differs from time to time, yet he sometimes uses chainmail or leather armour or both.
History: Janos son of Rezo founder of the dark elves, Janos is amongst the oldest of dark elves, yet for some strange reason he seems to be immortal.
Amongst the people of Terrial very little is known of his life other then he has been a mercenary, a leader, a general and at last promoted to be amongst the saints people pray to in there cathedrals.
It is known for a fact that Janos was born on Terrial.
Janos was the son of Rezo who was the founder of the dark elves, yet if he was a legitimate child of a product of an affair is not known, nor is it known why he chose to live as a mercenary rendering his service out to anyone who could pay him, rather then living amongst his own people.
It is also known for a fact that he travelled to the world of Pangaea as one of the original settlers, yet most of his actions over there remain a mystery, it is known that he married the elder Malice and had descendants that lives to this day.
It is also known that he travelled back to Terrial after his wife had died, though exactly how she died is not known either, yet it is known that Janos arrived at terrial alongside the force that helped liberate terrial from the clutches of the demons.
If it was there of first later he became a general is not known, it is however known that he tried to negotiate peace amongst the dark elves and high elves until summoned back to Pangaea to help fight a beast of some kind.
It was in this battle that he disappeared in after being amongst the forces that was in the front line against the beast, some scholars believe that he was actually killed in that battle, yet since no body was found the people of that age believed him still alive and promoted him to the saint he is revered as today.
Many scholars still debate to this day Janos´s role amongst the events depictured in the story of Pangaea, some say that he played a small part others that he played a larger part.
There are even those that suggest that Janos might be a figure inspired of the acts of many people, that he might never have lived at all and that the historic facts are pieces of many people’s lives.
(This is what the public knows, and as such what your character might know of him)
Goals: unknown he works from the shadows (translated you can make any goals you like, for him to reach)
Weaknesses: the same as any other dark elf
Strength: the same as any other dark elves, yet because of his age and ever youth (or youth or youth had he been a human he would have been in a constant state of health like a 35 40 year old man) his skills is much more tuned then any of the dark elves.
Locations: Janos is fast and he knows of means to travel whiteout being seen or heard (translated he can be where ever you like just not at the same time)
Rules for play (seriously there are things you can’t do whit him, if you do it will be the same as powerplay or any other breaking of the rules three warnings and you are out).
First rule: Janos is wise, wise enough to have remained hidden from the public’s eyes since e vanished in that battle, what ever reason he had for that still counts.
So saying that he goes public and says hey guess what, I still live and I am immortal is a no no.
Second rule: though Janos may give hints as to who he is, he will never give any vital clue that can prove anything, he might say I was married to an elder once (okay but many dark elves have been married to an elder) your character might have a suspicion on who he really is, but no evidence to prove that that suspicion is correct.
Third rule: Janos work in the shadows, if you want him to be a part of a big fight, it will not be out in the open where everybody can see him it will be on the side line.
If he really does fight out in the open he will always clock his identity, so that it won’t be easy to tell who he really is.
Fourth rule: if your character has had some adventures whit him, and is asked about him all that you really can say and remember is that he was a dark elf who kept mostly to himself and that you really don’t know that much about him.
Also if he by some means would have raised you or something, you don’t know who he was in truth to you he was just a farther for you and you called him (what ever you now choose to call him)
After you became mature and ventured out in the world, or what ever you did, he disappeared you may have had a few encounters whit him since but they where brief.
Fifth rule: Janos is like Jesus in his depicture in the cathedrals understood in that way that he is glorified and don’t really shear all that huge a likeness to the real thing, so you may see the statues of him and the other heroes of ancient time, and he and the person you remember might shear certain traits of similarity but nothing more then a great grandson might resemble his great grand farther.
The last rule is this: after a battle or what ever quest you are on where he is one of those whit you, has ended he leaves in the same way Lucky Luke does, one moment he is there the next he isn’t.

Janos was sitting in the shadows in the early morning light, the sun had yet to become so strong that it bothered him; sitting in the shadows he was smoking a pipe while lost in memory.
An old fisherman sat beside him smoking to, the habit of smoking a pipe had been something brought home from terrial some years back, some said it was terrible for your lungs but Janos didn’t really care so far it hadn’t bothered him the least and it made him relax.
So what you gather, do you think there are anymore then us awake at this moment of the morning, the fisherman said looked at the southern harbour at the Equariums city, then he said to himself she sure is a beauty isn’t she I wonder if people will ever notice that.
Janos looked at the small ship the fisherman was talking about; he knew it to well a few years back he had had some business at Pangaea on the way home a storm had broken out and a freakish wave had flung him overboard.
Janos would have drowned that day had it not been for the fisherman who had been near and had seen it all; he had pulled him in at great risk for himself and his ship; as such Janos owed him his friendship and a life depth to him.
A depth that Janos knew he would have to pay this morning, recently the old fisherman had ruled unclear whit some thieves who would have used his boat for smuggling, people normally didn’t object to this kind of things since it was well known that if you resisted you could risk getting the dark elves on your neck.
The Dark elves the very name was the cause of fear amongst many once they had been a raiding force, but since humans and other people had begun to pay for there services, the Dark elves had evolved into a bunch of very skilled assassins if they where hired to take you out you where living on spent time.
Many a man, woman or even children and old men and women had fallen for there blades, a poet once had described the dark elves as creatures born of the shadows, since they could glide into the shadows and make themselves unseen.
If they where on a mission to kill you, you wouldn’t even know they where there, before you where dead fallen for there blades.
Janos knew perfectly well how these creatures operated for he was one of them, and once he to had been a mercenary for what now seemed like ages ago, but that was in another life so very long ago but just because it had been a long time ago it didn’t mean that Janos had forgotten anything and his skills where as sharp as ever.
Janos answered the fisherman: you speak like this is your last moments of life old man, I told you I will not let anything happen to you, when death claims you it will be either on the sea or in your bed not for the blades of a dark elf.
The fisherman snorted: you keep saying that, but words is that the thieves want to make an example of me, properly mean I feel every strike of the blade and my head will be put on display in town.
Janos took the pipe out of his mouth and left it on a create he had seen them.
Two dark elves from the look of it a young bunch, it was so like the dark elves the more brutal the job the younger the dark elves where.
Yet if he knew them correct an older more experienced Dark elf would be in the background, prepared to step in if anything went wrong, Janos secured the knifes strapped around his wrists the two young ones had to be nailed first the older would be a different chase.
Gliding into the shadows Janos released himself to his senses, everything would have to be precise any errors and the old man where dead, fortunately the fisherman was no fool he knew what he had to do the moment his friend disappeared.
Walking out in the open he leaned against a wall, where there where no shadows for the dark elves to attack from, useless in the long run the dark elves didn’t need shadows to kill it just made it easier, but it would give Janos a view of things.
The attack came quickly the fisherman never saw them coming, fortunately Janos had and whit deadly accuracy he threw the knifes so they hit in the two young ones arms making them drop there swords.
The fisherman heard the noise as the swords hit the ground, he ran down towards his boats screaming for the guards, the young ones retreated there mission had failed, yet task had not failed yet the older Dark elf speeded towards the fisherman.
He was stopped dead centre as Janos suddenly stood in front of him swords unseated ready for battle, whiteout a word the two of the engaged in battle, a battle that was over two minuets after it had started as Janos disarmed the older dark elf by running his two swords through the dark elf shoulders.
Janos twisted the blades in the wounds and looked at the dark elf, he then spoke: my protection if you come near him again I will kill you.
Janos then pulled his two swords out of the dark elf that fled the scene before the guards came.
Janos jumped down to the fisherman and from his belt put a bag of money in the fisherman’s hands, Go to Pangaea for a couple of weeks till this has blown over, there is enough money in this bag to last that long.
The fisherman wanted to thank Janos for saving his life, but Janos was already gone and the fisherman was left on the dock to sail of into the sunrise.

OOC: Well since there is no map i geuss will have familiar cities like Haverna. Since the old city of it is ruined i will properly start off near the city of New Haverna a little off from where the ruins of old Haverna and the Demon Circle lay.
Tar'ik shook the dew off his wings as he lifted them from the front of him and placed them behind. He had fallen asleep during the night and the rain storm had passed. Looking into the distance he could see the factories start to churn out smoke into the air. The thing that cept him from soaring the skys was the place where he would have the most luck in finding others like him. If dragons couldn't sustain there normal form then they would have had to adapted into something like he was.
He checked his old iron armor to see if it had gotten wet. Lucky for him it wasn't which meant he wouldn't have to go through the process of cleanig it. He picked up a tattered cloth and took the carbine out of it and grabed his spear. Walking over to the edge of the forest he streched out his wings and began running. After getting some lift he flaped once or twice then was in the air. Flaping to keep his weight up he eventually got into a steady soar. He crossed the old ruins of Haverna the place where Jowy had recieved his first powers of demi-godom and fought with others against the deamons. He slowed down to marvel the ruins then continued towards the city.
******
New Haverna was like any human city, Highly industrialized with chemnies towering above and the constant sound of a factory going. Its Center being a high commercial area would make any race other than human stick out too much and attention in a human city was hard to shake. The outskirts where sub urban slums mainly like that of older Terrial but still the smoke settled upon them making it harsh to breath and constantly coated black.
Tar'ik landed in the outskirts where he bought a large cloak to keep himself covered and out of sight. A dragonkin like himself would most easily send any human crowd running and the gaurd to capture him. He didn't like the idea of a human city but knew it was indeed a gathering place for many races looking to make jobs and move towards the human ways.
Making his way towards the central part of the city he saw less and less of other races until he come across another figure about his hieght and stature. The figure made eye contact first and began to move away. Tar'ik hurried after but was blocked by a group of humans. If only he could fly here but that would freak too many out. Racing after the figure he eventually lost it.
"Damn...Maybe some people in a pub know about it." Tar'ik said to himself.
Making his way to the nearest pub he stepped inside and took a seat ordering a drink. He didn't have money but pulled off a few of his scales that where growing too big. They would grow back and where just as valueable as any gold piece. He reached up and pulled off his hood revieling his dragon shaped head but no body freaked out. It was a pub, the gathering place of all. Tar'ik swiged his drink and began looking for some informant people.

OOC: Thanks for the map AMARDA, it looks great so far.
Alvah slipped through the sillhoutes of the slums walking around slowly. He looked at the new Haverna, nothing like what it once was, bustling sounds echoed through the streets and hundreds of thousands of voices rang out at once, but he was looking for one only.
Not many people noticed him in the slums, despite his crimson red clothes. He searched around until he came to the entreance of the city, a few guards stood at the gates, but since the old age, there was little need for security, he walked forwards, slipping into the shadows and entering an alleyway where a man stood. As he took a step forwards the man turned around, holding a pistol. He looked shaken, but Alvah was past caring for such things and ducked as the man fired, running forwards quickly.
"Mr Armen, pleased to meet you"
Alvah pushed Armen's hand up before he got another shot and pulled his pistol out before shooting him in the gut, Armen yelled out in pain as Alvah threw him against a wall.
"Who are you working for, and why did you kill my benefactor?" Alvah said walking up to Armen and aiming his pistol at Armen's head.
Armen opened his mouth, but as he did so he blew up, Alvah stood back and covered himself feeling seering hot pain as blood and gore splattered onto him.
"What in the name.." Alvah said before looking up. A man stood on a roof glaring at him before disapearring over the roof tops.
Alvah cursed an walked out of the alley way thinking about what had happened the past few days as he walked to a bar, he entered through the door, smoke still rising form burnt spots in his clothes. He sat down at the bench ordering a beer.

Yeah its OK. I still need to label a few things. If someone wants to they can write some history about the dam. Also the desert now extends much further than it used to. Now, to the south of Haverna what should there be? I was thinking something along the lines of a swamp.
EDIT!!!!
I just had an Idea. The Equariums should be the people that run the dams. Also I have 3 dams planned in my current map. Each is situated over a strategic water way.
IC:
Rykar awoke, the dew made the world glisten in the morning light. Looking up he saw a creature fly across the sky towards Haverna. Grabbing his weapons, Rykar started walking towards the great city. As he walked through the ruins Rykar observed ancient history. This place was legendary, no one had dared disturb the remains of the city, infact most people were scared to even approach.
-----
The slums of the Haverna shocked Rykar, he never had seen people that looked so down on their luck. People looked at him with hatred in their eyes. No human trusted elves any more, nore did elves trust humans. As he walked through the city, the amount of other races started to diminish, finally he found a tavern that looked half decent and entered. Sitting at a bench he ordered a drink.

OOC: Really nice map and i think that sounds good for equarims. in the Northeast there used to be a ocean but that might have been removed by the deamons and Avens always live near an ocean or some place where storms happen. There is the Aven capital known as Artimis which is usually located near the largest source of water like an ocean or such. The city has been known to move somehow that the avens keep secret. Down south past Haverna there once was a large forest but since dragons disappear it was cleared by the humans turned into even more city. past the forest there was a great plain of sort with a swamp in its west corner south of Tailerous. In the south eastern corner there was a small sea that had a small city but it was whiped out by the deamons. further south there is some volcanic mountains with a desert that surrounds them. Thats all i remember from my other maps as they are deleted when i cleaned my drive. Your free to change anything AMARDA you wish as you are the one drawing but i hope that helps some.

The morning train rolled in at the station, several people began walking out of it amongst them was a person he was almost completely covered in a black clock.
Half of his face was covered in a piece of cloth, people around him avoided him most of them knew better then to bother a dark elf, as the person walked out of the station he began walking towards the local tavern.
The door to the tavern opened, and Janos walked in sliding into the shadows as he walked towards the bartender, Janos sat down on a chair almost in front of him throwing a few golden coins on the desk the bartender purred some strange liquid up I a glass and handed it to him.
Janos drank it and put the glass on the desk where the bartender removed, and then he leaned on the table and began talking silently whit Janos.
Haven’t seen you in town for some weeks now Menoc, words has it that there where some trouble down the ocean city this morning, something about a local fisherman getting attacked by dark elves but mysteriously survives.
Janos said nothing whit a sign of his hand he ordered another drink which he got.
So you did have something to do whit his miraculous escape, don’t you think it is time you stopped interfere whit the dark elves jobs you might get more attention then what good is.
Janos just looked at him emptying his drink then he spoke, I can handle it those whelps they sent after him was easily taken care of, nobody saw anything and they won’t bother him again.
The bartender sigh and was about to say something, but was interrupted when a huge meatloaf of a man pushed Janbos of the chair, you are sitting on my chair whelp.
The man took Janos´s drink sniffed to it, and then purred it out on janos´s head: what kind of shit is it that you are drinking taste like urine.
Janos stood up whiteout a word, and wanted to sit on the chair next to the man, but the man rammed his fist on that chair: that is mine to in fact all the chairs you want to sit on are mine, so get out of this tavern before I use your head as a cup.
Janos said quietly, I don’t want any trouble yet if you insist on continuing this behaviour.
Then what? The man rose up nearly dwarfing Janos, you think you can do anything towards me I eat dwarfs like you at breakfast, so do your worst little dwarf I will have your spine for breakfast.
The man rammed his fist towards Janos, yet before it hit Janos jumped up on a nearby table a hooded figure said and was trying to drink a bear, when the table shattered as the man tried to hit the dark elf but only hit empty air.
Finally after a minute the man got a hold of Janos, he help up high in the air he laughed his breath reeked, now I got you any last words whelp before I smash your head.
He didn’t have time to say more before he was lying screaming on the flour clutching his right arm, in a flicker of second the dark elf had drawn his sword and cut of the mans right hand.
He was lying screaming and cursing on the flour, Janos merely walked over and sat at one the chair the man had thrown him of and ordered another drink.
The man got on his feet and ran towards Janos, madness shining out of his eyes: my hand I’ll kill you!
Yet before he ever reached Janos turned around and threw a knife that burring itself deep in the man’s crutch, this made the man fall over in pain knocking himself out on the desk.
The bartender signalled two people, which came over and carried the man out of the bar.
Janos threw a bag of money of the desk and continued his drink.
So where do you sleep the day off Menoc? I guess I can’t offer you a room?
Janos shook his head; I will sleep where I usually sleep, I find the temple ruins a peaceful place to sleep, and there are several places where the sun doesn’t bother me.
The bartender shook his head; I have never met anyone like you, though you are no where near the size of that guy you just fought whit you just played whit him.
And sleeping at the ruins most people are afraid to even get close to them, and you are sleeping in the middle of it, aren’t you afraid of the ghosts that is said to hunt in there?
Aren’t you afraid that you will meet the ghost of the arven who lost control of his avatar form and vaporized almost the entire city?
Janos merely finished his drink and rose up, as he went out of the door, he graphed the blanket one of the men the bartender had signalled gave to him.
Before he left he said quietly, yet loud enough for those who where listening to hear: I have enough ghosts of the past what can these ghost show me that I have not already seen.
Then he left closing the door behind him.

Name: Jowy
Age: Died nearly 400 years ago
Background: The famous leader of the Avens and a hero of nearly all races known for his fairness and leadership as a king of the Avens. When he was found dead on Pangea he had not really died from a heart attack but had accended to Goddom leaving his body in the physical realm and accending to the spirtual realm. Drawn back as a test of 400 years teaching to see if he can help guide the races in upcomming events.
IC:
Jowy walked behind Janos until he reached the Ruins near the deamon circle then became visible to him and said, "410 years ago me and you fought the first deamons out of the pit and i got my first tastes of being a demigod. How old does this make you Janos? Nearly a 1,000? Your getting old Janos even for a Dark elf."
Janos let out a "heh" and turned around to see a large Aven in golden armor with clean white feathers. On his belt where two long knives the weapons he had had since he was a child. He looked young for a ghost but was alot older.
Jowy bowed to his friend then continued, "The reason why i'm here isn't a good one if you know yourself. Spirits of the past only show up when the future is filled with trouble. Its not the disapperance of magic or the dragons that concerns me its why both are fleeing this world. It takes alot to scare a dragon but when magic is fleeing with it something bad is ahead. I didn't volunteer to come here like this I would have manifested myself into a physical form but something is wrong. Something on a godly level is about to make Terrial a living hell again and this time only you and Argatha are alive to stop it. I just hope I can do something but as a spirt I am powerless in your realm."

yup it is around the Industrial Age, which where around 1862-1900
IC:
Janos shook his head, that hearth attack of yours or what ever finished you off must have fried your brain, if it where merely a 1000 years ago the ghost of the past wouldn’t hunt me as they do.
I am more then 2000 years older then even the oldest amongst the dark elves or high elves for that matter; I have lost any memory of my true age.
He looked down on the ground Agartha isn’t alive anymore, I where whiteness to her funeral, her ascendants is alive but they don’t have nearly the same amount of power she did.
And don’t talk to me about a living hell, Janos face suddenly became very angry and he nearly shouted in jowys face: Can you even begin to imagine what it is like being immortal never grow older, see all your loved ones ageing and die while you don’t grow any older?
I held my wife as she died in my hands, crushed by the very stones that where a part of the cave we lived in.
I tried to crush the sorrow whit fighting, I where here when we sealed of the demons, I was there when a huge chaos beast wreaked havoc on Pangaea.
I have tried to be a storyteller trying to inform people of there past; I did so for a few years till they didn’t care anymore, I was thrown out of every village I visited.
And I have seen the result of this wild magic it is like on Pangaea only much worse, you know these very ruins where caused by one of your people, they tried to unlock the avatar form to save themselves instead it killed everyone in this village when the Arven lost control of that power.
He sat down in a shadow, what do I care for the dark gods? I try to save the people from themselves only to find it worsening everywhere I go.
Look around you Jowy and ask yourself did I really help save this world? When I battled the demons and helped the people of terrial seal them of.
Look at the temples instead of being remembered as men who made difference, we have become legends equal to that of the gods themselves, we are glorified into something that where never us our descendants pride themselves for being the children of the gods.
But what do I care, the gods themselves can not manifest themselves on this realm it is sealed from them, the only gods not trapped are the neutral ones Time, death, life and nature, and they don’t care for this world they do what they have done for millennia’s and that is that.
He looked up at the ghost of the Arven, so you who have returned from the death in this spectral form, what do you want this pure immortal to do, what can I do that hasn’t already been done?

Branish walked off the train it had been six years since he had come to New Haverna and he had his fingers crossed that the merchants he had swindled in the past wouldn't cross his path. He walked out of the station and into the crowded street, people were staring at him struck by how rich and powerful he looked. He enjoyed this greatly.
He had to focus though, he needed to remember his goals. He needed to find his targets, the best targets seemed to be dwarf and human merchants, they seem to love it when new investment possiblities come into town. First though he needed to make friends, friends who wouldn't mind bending the laws alittle. There was no where better to find these friends than back alley bars.
As he walked though the door into the dark stingy bar everyone turned and looked at him. The cut throats and thefts all smiling at there luck that a noble had walked into their bar. Several stood up and began walking over to him. Branish had been though all this thousands of times before, he knew what he had to do, he pulled one of his whips and in a single motion all that had stood lay on the floor unconscious. He put away his whip and silently walked to the bar and ordered a drink, everyone else in the bar took their attention off of him and went back about their business.

The young ones where silent and let the old one speak for them.
Old dark elf: please forgive us your excellence, the mission was going perfectly my two students where moving in for the kill, but someone interfered.
Hassenhof snorted in contempt are you saying that a mere human got the best of you, I hope for your sake it isn’t so for if it is so I will hang you in cages outside this house to let the sun burn your skin.
The young gasped they had once before felt the burning touch of the soon that agony they wouldn’t forget anytime soon.
No your eminence the old one quickly said, it was a dark elf I swear by my life, I fought himself.
Hassenhof looked interested a dark elf you say how was he?
Like a whirlwind your greatness he fought whit skills and precision, none of even the greatest of my students have ever shown, it was like I was fighting Janos himself this fighter is a symbol of what we dark elves use our entire life in obtaining.
This dark elf did you notice anything about him Hassenhof said looking towards the sealing where several warriors where depicted, his clothes the way he fought anything that might indicate what house we are dealing whit.
The old dark elf grew silent for a moment like he was trying to remember: he was dressed in complete dark and open robe I think, his weapons where two katanas he used every shadow every opening in my defence to his full advantages.
He had no insignia what so ever on his clothes, but now that I think of it I think he whore a cloak of some kind, also from what I could see had he been a human he would have been no more then 35 40 years old.
That is all I can remember you Excellency.
Hassenhof pondered upon this a moment then he snapped his fingers, the house of Janos you said it yourself it was like fighting the legend himself; they are the only one who could have pulled of such a scam.
Yes it would be just like them if they can’t get the assignment nobody should have it, yes there matriarch all high and mighty because she is a pure descendant of Janos, bhaa as if anyone would interest themselves whit long dead fighter.
But this time she will not get away whit this no not this time, this time the elder will her of her treachery, she will stand trial and the name of Janos will be disgraced in the face of all dark elves yes that is what must be done.
The old dark elf bowed his head as you command your eminence.
Hassenhof looked down at the dark elf; yes I have another job for you my sources have reported Branish Yarslav to be back in these parts, fortunately for us and unfortunately for him we have been promised quite a large fee for dealing whit him.
Is he to be made an example of your greatness?
No nothing so harsh mealy thought a lesson, gather some students and have a few of your older ones set out to keep an eye on them, this Yarslev must learn from his mistakes against our client he is to be wounded not killed now go your presence bore me.
Hassenhof walked out of the room, and after he had disappeared the old dark elf and his students retreated quietly.

There are factories and electric dams for power and id say Maxim Guns are a prototype weapon that is highly hazardous. I'm going against the dragon thing. 50% of the dragons are left while the other 50% have gone off to another world to have fun. The dragons that are left are very hard to find and are evolving into Dragonkin to adapt to the new times. Erik are we in the same ruins? Old Haverna was wrecked by Deamons not an Aven.

Jowy looked at Janos and said, "I had no idea you were immortal. I can't even immagine what the pain would be like. You have my deepest appologize. It is sad that Argatha passed away. I had no idea. Indeed as I look around I see a sad place. When you forget the past it repeats itself and with the races becoming more seperate as the years pass evil will corrupt them. I'm not sure how long until the Avens leave this world to find a new one nor how long till the Insectiods follow and eventually the elves as well. Why i'm here is to warn of what is going to happen and try to help the next heroes in their coming trials. Janos not all of them will believe me but you can at least help them because you are still alive."

Tar'ik finished off his drink then looked around again. A few more figures had entered the bar. He even saw an elf come and sit down. He went around asking about some others like him but only got laughs and stares. Humans were rude and Tar'ik knew especially when drunk. He went back over and sat down letting out a sigh the saw the elf next to him.
Tar'ik spoke out of the side of his mouth, "Not many different people like us around here. Have you seen any like me?"

OOC: Old havana might have been tried to be rebuild and devastated by the arven avatar catastrophe.
And about the dragon rider thing well, they might ride a little, but most of the dragons take the shape of a human or another creature and they don’t often changes I will explain why in this post.
IC:
Janos drew forth his old pipe lithe whit a match, and began smoking the sun was beginning to go high but as of yet the wall protected him whit its shadow.
It is barely a 100 years since she died, that was when I truly knew I was alone, I know not if I am immortal or not but time and death have ignored me for them I do not exist.
As for the different magical races well
As for the Arvens leaving this world it might not be so soon, not as long as there new leader is in command he is determined to make the Arven race multiple again.
The insektiods I don’t know most of them have locked them selves away in there forests only a few have come out, I haven’t been at there forest yet, mostly because I know they throw almost everybody out who even nears it.
The high elves when I was young and fought alongside of Agartha, they where a race I though hated also respected, now they have all turned into religious fanatics and I do not hate them nor respect them I just ignore them they have become pathetic in my eyes.
There are still dragons here and there, but they have taken the form of other beings humans and such, they don’t often change I found out a few month ago why when I came upon the remains of a dragon.
He had tried to change into his dragon shape or into a human shape I could tell, but his death where clear to me, his change had been irregular some parts had been dragon other human his hearth had latterly exploded when the pressure became too big.
I have later seen other chases of the same kind of things magicians trying to light a camp fire only to find them self incinerated in a few second, dying as there burned skin made it impossible for them to breathe.
But how do you suppose I should make them listen, I don’t even know where to start.
I know magic became irregular a few years after we locked away the demons, but why Terrial where spared when Pangaea suffered I don’t know, nor do I know why when terrial finally whiteness the failing of magic where hit almost twice as hard as we where.
I have been to Pangaea to look upon things there; they are just as bad people are suffering for the same kind of problem we face here.
So tell me Jowy since you are amongst the gods you must know of a place to start, I have spent years looking for answers trying to straighten things out, finding a solution but I only seem to get lost for every question I answer a 100 new ones takes its place.
So where do I begin?
Janos got on his feet and started walking into the ruins of a temple the sun where slowly beginning to cause him agony.

"How long did i sleep in?" He groaned as he looked at the time.
"My goodness! I definately overslept" He said as he noticed it was already late in the day.
Allister ran around hurridly, changing his clothes and going to the bathrrom before quickly munching on some lunch and running out of his apartment. He turned around and locked the door behind him as he ran to the super market.
"I haven't even been to the store in a week, gotta get something quickly" He said as he ran to the store, weeving and dodging around the large crowds of people.
He got into the store quickly and grabbed what he would need for the next week or so and payed for them quickly, feeling a little huffed and ran back quickly to his apartment to put them in his pantry before going out again.
"I think i'll take a drink" Allister said to himself as he put on his vest and walked out the door again.
Walking to the bar he noticed a few strange characters, a man with red clothes which seemed to be burnt in some spots, a arven looking creature and an elve...
"The crowd keeps getting weirder and weirder" Gaunt said under his breath
Gaunt went to the bar and ordered a beer, and sat down and drank it slowly thinking about his life, well at least from what he would figure out.

Alvah stepped outside and noticed the sun was still out, glaring at him as he covered his eyes and put his sunglasses on. He walked ot the gneral store and bought a newspaper, dropping silver coins at the counter as he walked outside reading it, flicking through the pages.
He stopped dead on the 5th page, and opened up the page before reading the article.
Article:
Today a man mysteriously goes missing, but this is no ordinary man. National Guard reports that he was an undercover agent investigating magic and his latest case was on a necromancer which was reported in Haverna a while back. National Guards also reported that the last trace of him was a letter left at his office, the office was covered in blood, the guards reported that the letter detailed his findings. Though his writing weren't taken seriously and mistaken for a folk tale strange happenings have been sighted since this mans death. The Investigation has been sacked though as many of the sightings were from lowly criminals or slums which weren't taken seriously.
Alvah read this carefully and speculated.
"This maybe something..." He said slowly

In a small tunnel deep under the capital city of the Vatican, one of the mighty cities of the high elves a high elf screams his death scream as his still beating heart is pulled out of his body.
A dark character holds it high in the air and begins to recite an ancient code, he breaks open the heart and lets the still warm blood flow down on the alter, he then picks up a knife opens one of his veins as the blood from the vain mixes whit that of the high elves the altar begins to glow.
The dark figure smiles soon very soon all these preparations will come to an end and he will finally could harvest that which he has waited so long for.
and then nobody will be able to stop him.

He got up and walked out of the shrine, ever since the recovery of Terrail, no one has even bothered to rebuild the shrine, the world was truely changing, and Tyrenne could feel it in his bones.
Tyrenne walked through the ruins towards the humans city, its large spires oculd be seen in the distance, poking into the sky, a black fog continuously rising from its large chimneys, ever polluting the environment. Tyrenne spat on the ground at the thought.
"Will no one stop the humans from destorying our world?" He said to himself as he continued walking.

Branish had left the bar after making a few new "friends". One man had pointed him in the direction of a wealthy dwarf merchant who was a true fool with his money. Branish would soon go and woo this dwarf and fleece him of everything that he could. For now though Branish would stay at an expensive inn and have a little fun around town.
He had just left the inn and was on his way to meet with a woman who he had known for years. Scarlet a lady of the night, she had make a good living while Branish was gone and had become mistress of a large group of females of all different races. If anyone could point him in the direction of more victims, it would be her and her girls.
Her home was in the richest part of the city and Branish could barely believe his eyes when he saw how extravagent the building looked. He walked into the house and was warmly greeted by a beautiful young human female, who told him that Scarlet waited for him in her study. Everything in the house was expensive and beautiful, but something about the way the human girl had looked at him told him that not everything was right.
He walked into the study, his body tense. Scarlet sat alone at a table sipping a glass of wine. The room was dark just one candle burned, the walls were hidden from his view by the darkness so he could not tell the true size of the room.
Scarlet: Come in my love, sit and drink of my wine and tell me of your adventures.
Branish: I'm afriad that i do not have the time or the energy to tell you of everything that has happened to me in these years, and I am sure it is the same with you. I have actually come here on strictly business matters, although your beauty distracts me.
At this Scarlet rises and walks over to Branish, leans over and kisses him. Then takes a step back and looks at the floor. She weakly whispers "I'm so sorry Branish."
Before Branish could even react he sees movement in the shadows. He pulls a pistol just as dark evils come sprinting from the shadows. Branish knows from the second he sees them that they do not want to kill him. If they did they wouldn't have let themselves be seen. He fires a gun and hits one of the legs, he whips around and knocks another in the head with side of the pistol. They come onto him to fast. He takes down several others, wounded but not dead, before he feels a knife slip into his back. Branish falls to the ground. Everything starts to go dark.
Just as he passes out completely he over hears alittle of what is being said.
Dark Elf Leader: You fool you almost killed him. You better hope beyond hope that he survives that blow.
Young Dark Elf: I did not mean to master. He was putting up more fight than I had expected. What do you wish we do with him?
Dark Elf Leader: He should survive, wrap his wound and take him to the sewers, throw him in a rubbish heap, that's where he belongs.

In the town of Vatican, the captain of the guards hurried inside to a hall where the bishop and the mayor where waiting for news.
As the captain entered the hall he bowed for the two people.
The Bishop eyed him; he had been drawn away from his preaching a thing he wasn’t very fond of he was the first to speak: I have been summoned here at your request mayor, now I demand to know the reason for this summoning I do not enjoy leaving my church at this time a day.
Be at ease your holiness the mayor said I have summoned you here because we have news of the stolen artefact, I believe you called it the dark hearth.
The Bishop lightened up a bit, what news do you have of it have the culprits been apprehended, have this holy artefact been returned to us?
Well not exactly the Mayor shrunk a little I need you to explain what this artefact does.
The bishop face turned from half soften to the look of a man who has just been insulted: You have called me here to answer a question that any other man of the church could answer, this is outrageous and insult to my very person!
Mayor tried to calm the bishop: please I promise that this isn’t an attempt to insult you and everything will be answered I promise, your holiness.
The bishop eyed the Mayor he still look quite insulted but spoke: in the years of the great separation where the traitor Rezo betrayed his people and joined the dark gods, a dark elf sacrificed his soul to the dark gods in exchange for power over life.
The dark gods took his soul and granted his which, he where now able to raise the dead from there grave trapping there very souls in there bodies denying them purification, the gods of light saw this atrocity and called out to a priests commanding him to vanquish this unholy foe.
As the priest confronted the dark elf, the fiend tried to convert him into his service promising him powers untold of if he would renounce his faith and pelage his soul to the dark gods.
Yet the priest remained true to his faith and called out to his gods for the power to do there command, they heard him and blessed his staff whit the power to smite this unholy thing, raising his staff the fiendish dark elf covered in the light of the true gods and thus the priest struck hard and the dark elf died.
A great victory was won that day for a servant of evil had died, yet his unholy remained it evil would not be cleansed by the light, and although the priest staff where destroyed he died not fear encasing the heart in a layer of golden metal covering it whit rubies its evil where sealed.
He placed it in this holy of churches, and we have guarded it ever since, for the chosen of the gods knows that it is our duty to protect the world from this evil.
Amen the Mayor said praise be to the gods of light, for we are there children we are destend to survive.
Now for the chase we have recently have much trouble whit increase amount of undead roaming our severs, our captain of the guards are unable to solve the problem we believe that it is the work of the dark heart, I have summoned you here to ask if it is possible to awaken the dark heart once more?
The bishop thought of it in a moment then answered: if the shell where broken and the hearth laid on and alter most foul, if the blood of the righteous where sacrificed to it and the forbidden dark arts used on it the evil could be revoke.
But nobody is allowed to use that magic the punishment would be death.
Mayor shrunk even further as he said, well there where one who we court many years ago using the dark arts, his farther was a noble and a benefactor of this town sooo we thought it would be best to quit it all down and just banish the perpetrator.
We thought it was all over yet recently we have had some high elves down in the pour section of town disappearing whiteout a trace.
If the Bishop where insulted before he was furies now, cursing and swearing threatening to ban the Mayor from the church for eternity before he finally calmed down: we will discuss this later for now tell we what you plan for to do about this.
We plan to issue a reward world wide for who ever can stop this, and return the hearth to the temple.
Make it so the Bishop snared and pray that they succeed, or you will find that the gods can be very exact in there punishment to those who ignore the law.
Upon those words the Bishop left.

Alvah threw the newspaper in the bin, then noticed a man with posters coming his way, he stood aside as the man walked past him to a wall and stuck the poster to it, Alvah read it closely. It was to do with the article no doubt, apparently there was a necromancer, who had stolen something, a reward would go out to those which could retrieve the artifact and bring it back to the church in Vatican. Alvah sighed noticing it was quiet a long way away to get to such a place.
Alvah had gotten an idea though, the sewers connect to the cities, and one could travel through them at quicker pase then over the rugged terrain on the land, better yet it was in the shadows, so should anything be there he would have the advantage, but he would need a map, the sewers were long, and a wrong turn could put him of course, and possible trap him down there. He leaned against a wall and thought.

So you do eh well listen up then, go to the ruins of old, in the middle of the city you will find a temple, there you will seek a elf of darkness who sleeps amongst the dead.
Yet even though he sleeps amongst the death, death itself has ignored him, he is older then you can possibly imagine and he is the only one who knows the severs better then any map.
I have said my piece; now go, so I can enjoy a beer paid by your money.

Branish awoke the pain in his back a side note to the horrid smells around him. It was pitch dark where ever he was, and it smelled like death. He was horrified as he realized that he was in the sewers laying in a mass of something. He knew that being lost down here meant near certian death.
He noticed there was a paper in his hand, but it was too dark to read it. His attackers must of put it here. He put it in his pocket and he stood up. There was only two things he could do now, that was walk and pray that he find a way out. He put his hand on the wall and began to walk as straight as he could. He was weak from his wound and mostly just stumbled along.
He had gone what he felt was a far way, when he took a step forward and instantly fell into waste high slimely water. He waded to the other side pulled himself out and sat down against the wall.
"Well I never thought it would be the sewers that would claim my life." He said to himself.

"I guess a change of view would be nice..." Allister said to himself as he grabbed the map of the sewers, stuffed it in a backpack, grabbed some food and drinks along with what other things he may find helpful and left, locking the door behind him as he ran towards the outskirts of Haverna.

Janos had retreated into the temple amongst the catacombs he felt at home, a place of silence a place of shadows a place where he wouldn’t be disturbed.
Perhaps this time he would even dream of the time of old, a time where he had been young and things less complicated, he smiled to himself as he closed his eyes even though he knew that that time had long since passed.
The ghost of Jowy had disappeared for now, but Janos knew that it would only be a matter of time before the ghost of his former friend would show up again.
But until then he would get some sleep, immortal or not he still needed to sleep from time to time.

Janos awoke it was close to midnight he had slept most of the day, he had had a strange dream one that concerned his younger days as a mercenary, he tried to remember what exactly it had been about it has been in his early days as a mercenary.
He had been quite green at that time, and had it not been for a human mercenary who had taken it upon his shoulders to train him; he would have died many times over.
Janos went out into the night whit only his pants on; perhaps the cold air would help him remember what had that job been about it was all a blur, it had been on a summers night like this one he and his trainer had been called to the elven city.
No it wasn’t exactly in the elven city; it was more outside of the elven city Janos could remember the smell of spruce, his trainer had ordered him to stay in the shadows and not do anything before he told him to.
Janos could remember that he had heard something of what the elven messenger had said something about and elf who had sought to destroy the dark elves whit dark magic, but something had gone wrong and the elf was now wreaking havoc whit this dark magic, they couldn’t do anything themselves as the shear scandal would devastating if there leaders found out.
His trainer had agreed to do the job, but asked for half in advance he had gotten the money and the two of them had set out to find and take care of this trouble.
Exactly how they had found him Janos couldn’t remember nor how they got to him, since he seemed to remember that this elf had a lot of undead bodyguards.
He could however remember something from the fight how they had fought against him and how he had finally beheaded him, but why had they cut out his hearth he couldn’t remember or he hadn’t asked.
Yet something that was as clear as day he could remember, that when they had gotten back they had been ambushed by elves, he had been knocked half unconscious and left for dead yet his master had fought harder and taken a few elves down.
At last he too had been hacked down and as he lay mortally wounded, the elf who had hired them had cut his throat, he would have done the same to Janos but had had the “kindness” to tell why they had done this to them: Whit them cleared out of the way, nobody would ever know the truth,
They would be free to come up whit any story they wanted.
Janos had been caught by a burning rage, and in a split second he had drawn his swords and beheaded the elf, as he had run of into the wood he had heard a boy cry screaming that he had killed his father.
Janos had always hated the elves after that, but that was long time ago why did he think of this now?
But it was night time for him to go.
He went down into the crypt, but suddenly he though he heard somebody coming he hid in the shadows, if they had come for a fight or just to look for ghosts he would grant there which.

Blade and Buck had collected enough money to last 10 elven life times, not that either planned living that long. Blade gathered enough for a few months in a large sack along with clothing and other various peices of equipment.
As he started back towards the entrance of the hide-out he felt something he never had before. It was a very unpleasent feeling like all his veins exploding, he tumbled to the floor and let out a scream that shoke the entire cave. He remembered an old friend telling him of a similar feeling, it was the feeling of your partner dieing.
Blade lept to his feet, his heart beating way beyond what was normal and safe. He navigated the tunnels like he had for 40 years, but it seemed longer than what it should have. When he finally reached the end he yelled out for Buck, he then looked to the ground and saw him. He was stuck between forms, dragon but human at the same time. Blade turned and threw up, he then fell right there and cried in his own steaming puddle of regurgetated lunch.
A week passed till he moved back into the comfort of the cave and sent a meassage to his grand-father. Two months later he began to venture out of the cave, he was offered another young dragon but he declinded and left the Dragon Lords behind. Ever since he has toured the world looking for anwsers as to why his friend died. But every lead ended up pointing him somewhere else. His most recent lead has pointed him to Old Haverna, this one came in a dream with Buck and a glowing Aven.

Tar'ik signed as the elf gave him the response then noticed two humans arguing and left. He walked out putting his hood over his head. He had heard every single one of there words and would join them as it would be less threatening to go in the sewers than in the sky to a new city. As he walked he saw a half elf and felt somewhat of a conection occur. Some draconic presence touched him but he shook it off.
Reaching the slums he pulled his cloak off and tied it around his waist. Streching his wings in the air he crouched down then jumped off using his powerful legs to get enough air so he could fly with his heavy armor. He flew towards the ruins and landed in them. They matched the humans description and he landed folding his wings over his armor to prevent from making too much noise.
He heard a two figures talking and looked around the corner accidentaly steping on a twig causing it to snap. He swore and folded his wings out holding his hands up as he walked around the corner.

Janos had heard there voices, so they wanted fun he knew how to give them that, the old bell still hanged at the top of the tower it would ring when it was storm.
Yet in this quiet weather it wouldn’t give sound, but Janos knew a way to claim to it and make it ring, claiming to the top of the tower in less then 5 minuets Janos stood beneath the bell.
There where still some robe from when the bell ringers used to ring whit the bell, some of it had been cut of but what remained would endure many years yet, Janos began to pull in the robe and soon the bell began to ring.
A slow ghostly ringing, that would keep up for sometime enough for Janos to claim down, and begin the second level of there “fun” using the shadows to hide in , he snuck close to the intruders whispering here and there never the same place twice.
Then whit small amounts of smoke bombs not enough to secure his escape, but enough to make the intruders feet disappear in something that would resemble mist.
He then appeared as a shadow spawned by the night itself: what do you want mortals, why have you disturbed my sanctuary, speak up or leave this place.

You where a human’s form of that I can see, a small wind caught Janos´s cape and lazy it blew his hood of reviling his face, it was clear to every one that he was a dark elf.

Tell me elf why do you walk amongst the dead, what answers is it that you seek that you can’t find amongst the living?

Branish had fallen asleep against the wall deep in the dark sewer when he was awoken by a strange sound. It sounded like something dragging along the ground. He stood and headed to the sound. He thought that it may be one of the sewer cleaners they could help him get out of here. Just to be on the safe side though and he pulled out his guns.
As he rounded a corner he could see a light burning down farther down the tunnel. As he drew closer he could hear voices. Soon he could make out what they were saying.
Voice 1- We always have to do his dirty work. This is so gross, why do we have to be based down here in the sewers? Why can't we do all this out in the forest or something?
Voice 2- Because there aren't any dead bodies out in the forest. You know that the master needs these bodies. It won't be long and he'll be ready and we'll all be kings when that happens.
Voice 3- Be queit you fools, it's time to cover the piles with the oil. We have enough for now. The master wants these bodies up and walking as soon as possible.
Branish heard a bottle open and it's contents being poured out. He then heard the three who were talking run away. He waited until he could no longer hear then foot steps then he stepped into the light. He was in a large room the stench was unbelievably bad. A few candles burned in the room and what he saw shocked him. The room was completely stacked with dead bodies. Then to his complete horror almost all of them were twitching and moving. Some had actually began to rise. Twisted rotting bodies some must of been dead for weeks, standing on their legs barely able to move forward on their rotting legs.
Branish let a small terrified sound, all at once ever single one of these dead beasts turned their heads and stared at him with their glassey eyes.He raised his gun and fired one shot into the nearest one. The creature stumbled backward, but then it began walking forward again. Branish relized that he was not going to be able to stop these creatures, seeing how there had to be more than a hundred of them. They were all walking toward him now, growning and moaning. Branish knew this was no time for heroics so he did the first thing that came to his mind. He grabbed a torch from the wall and began running down the hall that the voices had retreated down. He didn't know what horrors awaited him, but surely they could not be as bad as this hell.

The Necromance stopped for a brief moment his incantations; this was interesting a living man running from his creations.
Normally he would just conjure some more servants to take care of this problem, but this man had potential, he knew that the maggots of the Vatican would properly already have send for would be heroes to take care of him.
But this man if persuade he could be a useful tool, now to contact him.
In the days of old before he was born a small astral projection would have been enough, but in this day and hour such things where to risky to risk.
Fortunately there where other ways of magically contacting a person, that didn’t evolve such high risks.
Walking over to a wall, he found the spot on the map where a small diamond representing the person speed away from his army, he graphed a hold of a larger green gem that represented the ghoul’s whit a twist of the green gem he ordered them to stop.
The small diamond continued to run, straight into and era where one of his golems where posted.
The necromance touched the red gem it glowed shortly, as the golem awoke from its slumber.
Suddenly in front of Branish stood a tall golem, which seemed to be made out of branches mud and what ever you could find in a sever, the golem opened its mouth several maggots crawled out as it began to speak.
Holt your movement little creature I which to have a word whit you, do not fear this puppet of mine it will do you no harm unless I order it to do so, I have and offer for you one that will secure a great deal of money for you.
To make sure I have your attention I will offer some gold in advance, the golem began to make strange noises as it literally vomited, a small bag that opened up as it hit the ground a few gold pieces fell out of it a half dissolved hand was holding on to it.
The golem spoke again such materiel values is of little if no use for me, but I am sure that such things are of good use to you, now do I have your attention or should I order my golem to make you a part of it?

Branish stared at the gruesome creature in front of him, terrified beyond belief. But as the words poured out of it's mouth his fears began to dissappear. The money that the voice had offered him was no small amount, and this intrigued him. He did not care what this being wanted be it evil or good, Branish cared nothing of morels and the thought of making large sums of money meant more to him than anything else. The man who was controlling this beast was very powerful, and power meant one thing to Branish, money.
" Well I do not know what you desire of me. But it appears that we may have something to gain from each other. You tell me what it is you desire and we may be able to strike up some kind of business deal." He said with a small smerk on his face

Had the golem been able to it would have smiled, instead more maggots just fell out, Excellent.
This is my command you will follow the team that is heading this way, they will be lead by a dark elf, gain there trust and assist them in there journey here.
When they reach me I will flood them whit a small amount of my minions, you will take care the backward flank when they are close to you, then you will abandon your team-mates.
Should they survive that assault, I will provide you whit a new body and new troops to command, you will need to stall or destroy them till my preparations are completed.
I expect you to follow my orders, should anything happen there is a small gem at the bottom of the bag, use it to contact me if need be also if you need to leave this place simply return to my servant they will do you no harm.
The golem dissolved into the things it was made of and became one whit the water once again; soon there was no trace what so ever of a golem ever being present.
The Necromance released his grip on the red gem, what fool this mortal where he would indeed get a new body as his hearth would be ripped out of his chest, the hearth of darkness would take its place.
The necromance had long since discovered its secrets; the heath could only reach its full potential in the body of a living being, unfortunately the carrier would be blessed whit enormous strength yet his intelligence would drop.
A perfect tool to control, the mortal might gain the ultimate power, but he would be the one to pull the strings soon he would be in control of this puny little world.

Branish stood there in aw of what had just occured. Then suddenly he felt his body shaking and his head began to hurt. The shaking stopped and he relized that he knew where he was and how to get out of the sewers. His new master must have transferred this knowledge into his mind. He walked down the halls toward the exit that would put him with the fools he must trick. Traps were placed at random points, but he now knew where they all were so he carefully avoided them. He had been walking for a good twenty minutes before he had come to the exit point.
Branish smiled, this was going to be fun. Tricking people is what he did for a living, these common folk won't stand a chance. He pulled open the hatch in the ceiling and let himself into the outside world. "Let the games begin!" he thought to himself.

At last they made halt in a rocky cave far below the sewers it was warm down here, but at the same time the air was fresh some of the members could have sworn the felt a light wind down here.
As if answering and unasked question Janos said: the wind is from a mage, who tried to cast a wind spell, it failed and instead of releasing a powerful wind that would have swept the opponent away, he became the wind and dissolved into pure air that is forever renewed and circling the cave.
We will camp here for the night, do not try and wander of on your own or you will find that getting forever lost is the least of your problems; there are things down here better left undisturbed.

He took a few, “this should work just fine” he said to himself, a Necromancer such as he is not to be taken lightly.

His wandering took him to an old building, one half collapsed. Inside were tombs to ancient hero's, and though there bodies may not reside within, they were honored just the same. The Necromancer suddenly shuttered a full blood, but they had all died there where no one left, how was this possible?
The heart of darkness where a dark elf heart or so the legend said, to access it full power and keep your mind, you had to use blood from a dark elf where the magic that had made them was still fresh.
He had tried several elves and a few dark elves, yet there blood had been to thin it had only sustained the heart not rejuvenated it, the Necromancer had calculated that if a being whit full blood where used the hearth would be fully rejuvenated.

Allister was breathing heavily, never in his entire life had he had to fight so hard to protect himself. At this point and time he was beginning to doubt that going on this adventure was ever a good idea and was beginning to feel a little home sick. He felt queezy as the smell of the caves smelt horrid to him and continued to look ahead at the one so called the 'necromancer'.
"Now you put him down you weirdo, or we'll give you a rightous beating!" Allister yelled to the person as he suddenly pulled out his heart.
“you came here for my hearth well if you want it take it” The necromancer said
"Oh god, i think i'm gonna be sick.." Allister said as he turned away, he turned back fighting the urge to throw up.
"Does it look like we want your heart?" Allister said grossed out a little, he pulled out his pistol again. Allister stared in astonishment as the necromancer placed something inside of him, where his heart had just been ripped out and suddenly the wound healed up.
"Now thats weird.." Allister said worridly

The Necromancer laughed “well small insects, have anyone of you even the slightest idea of my prisoners identity, no one”
The Necromancer laughed “this is great you hear that dark elf, they have been travelling whit legend, a person worshipped in many a temple and they doesn’t even know”.
“Ohh you pour deluded creatures, you are about to face death and yet you are ignorant of the greatest event in your pitiful lives, but I am not whiteout mercy if you ask I shall revel my prisoners identity before I let my pets eat you.”
Janos tried to say something but all that came out was some hoarse words “No….Don’t”
The Necromancer smiled: “It seems like my prisoner doesn’t want his true name reviled, yet he is not in command here, so what do you say insects shall I reveal his true name before I kill you?”

Alvah laughed.
"Heh, does it look like anyone of us cares of what his name is? He can call himself whatever he wants, i had already suspected him from the beginning" Alvah said as he looked at Menoc.
Now...How are we gonna hurt that golem.. He thought as he looked at the necromancer. The necromancer looked at Alvah puzzlingly before shrugging.
"I'm sure you don't care, but what of the others? Besides i'm done playing with you insects, prepare to die fools" The necromancer said

The Necromancer hands glowed as he threw two large balls of lightning towards the intruders.
The Necromancer bellowed in laughter and didn’t even care when the balls of lightning destroyed his own servant.
“I have the hearth of darkness in my chest, you can’t hurt me every wound you try to inflict upon me will heal I am a GOD! And you, you no long exist!”
Something caught his attention and he threw another ball of lightning towards the golem holding Janos, it blew to pieces and Janos fell on the ground.
Whit his arms free, Janos was able to make the movement’s whit his arms that allowed his to cast a small healing spell on himself.
As his strength returned Janos spoke loud and powerful”Necromancer in your arrogance you have committed a fatal error, one that will cost you dearly”.
The Necromancer laughed”brave words from the ones whose blood allowed my plan to succeed”.
Janos smiled “it is my blood that will be your doom, you know who I really am, but you don’t know I was here when the original carrier of the hearth of darkness was killed”.
The Necromancer conjured two large spheres of lightning in his hand”Is there a point in this, before you die”.
Janos laughed spotting “Indeed there is because unlike what you think you know, the original carrier was not Dark elf he was a high elf, the very blood you thought would grant you victory are now slowly killing you”
The Necromancer laughed”what a pitiful last sentence everybody know, the carrier was a dark elf and I I.
A sharp pain spread in the Necromancer chest, in a moment he knew that Janos where correct, the hearth of darkness was slowly killing him.
The Necromancer felt a burning anger, “what is wrong” Janos said sportingly “felling a little ill”
The Necromancer was furious and screamed in blind and uncontrolled furry and anger “You tricked me you accursed dark elf!” whit two powerful trusts the Necromancer threw the two lightning balls at Janos who just stood there.
At the last few second before the lightning balls hit Janos, Janos raised his cloak as a shield covering him completely.
There was a huge explosion and as the smoke cleared a tattered cloak soared down on the ground.
The Necromancer laughed “you see the immortal is dead and you will follow him!”

"I'm not gonne die here" Allister said as he aimed his pistol and fired.
"If he has a weakness which we can inflict upon his now is the time to tell us Menoc" Allister yelled to the dark elf as the group jumped into action and launched themselves at the necromancer.
Allister re-loaded and continued firing and ducked and covered his head as a lightning bolt flew overhead.
"Too close for comfort.." Allister said to himself as he stood up.

The Necromancer laughed insanely “The dead can’t help you insects, you are mine now and you will be dead before dawn”!
A sharp pain in the necromancer’s chest, made the ball of lightning meant to vaporise one of the intruders, miss and only fly over the head of its target.
The Necromancer coughed some blood up for every time he used his powers; the hearth of darkness would eat away his life force the Necromancer only became more furious by this, his before so mighty intelligence was quickly being replaced by blind berserker anger.
He replaced the lightning balls whit pure lightning he wheedled it like a couple of whips; he wanted to kill every last one in this cave including his tool.
If he was going to die so was every last one in this cave.

"Would you stop using your magics and fight me ahdn to hand necromancer?" Alvah yelled over the insane laughter of the necromancer and the yells from the others in the group.
Suddenly Alvah was hit by a lightning bolt and flew back, hitting a wall, he checked the side of his gut and noticed the burnt skin and cloth.
"s***" Alvah wheezed as he tried to stagger up, but found his legs failing him.

Garathorn Stepped out from the shadows, Revolver leading the way.
his finger squeesed the trigger gently, and a bullet sped off for the Necromancer's head, with three other shots following in fairly rapid succession.
