I remember there was this one replay with Ork vs Eldar on Outer Reaches (I searched his reps and couldn't find the game) where the Ork knew his opponent was Eldar and knew it was a free win for Eldar on that map unless he did the anti-eldar-on OR build known as the slugga mass.

Does anyone know where that rep is? If so, please post the link.

Interesting, he just runs over with his sluggas ASAP, followed by the shootas and BM while another squad caps IIRC.

first load up the replay and pause the game as it starts.

Then alt+ctrl+Del to minimise DOW and start the audio file with what ever programme. The shoutcast should tell you when the game starts. I believe its steffan Hains doing this one.

Top IG play, and also on the Relic balance team I believe. He says he hopes they nerf IG enough, but he wasn't sure if the team had gone far enough in that diretion yet.

If StefanHaines alone was in charge of nerfing IG they would be running around with weapons that would make the classic "Angry Flashlights" of Cultists seem like Whirlwind blasts :D

The shoutcast is corrupted? It shouldn't be... I remember downloading it after the game to see what he said and I could listen to it perfectly.

Also this build only ever works on OR and pretty much only against Eldar. It's aims are to keep eldar economy down while growing your own up slowly. At the same time constantly keeping enough units at the fight to keep him tied down to make it impossible for him to kill off any of your squad. The initial rush is to ensure that he wont get the outer point capped and LP2ed.

I also watched your second match, Santiago. I like the idea of building your hut at the Big Gen. Do you recommend that strat in general, or only against Eldar? I laughed when you said, "Please please please don't let him have Reapers yet" when you didn't have infiltrate and you were putting up the Hut.

The big gen build was a one-time build and will never again work for me against a good eldar, they have started scouting that spot early game now. I'd recommend the double-gen build with a forward boyz hut at your outer point though. LP2 everything and then go for BM/nobs/MANz.

I went through about a week of testing the big gen build in automatch... so, so, so many points lost. :p I guess I should have listened to common sense but I was pretty desperate to do something that broke the mold so to speak.

Or do the double-gen for Trukks! Heck, that's what I always do nowadays. :p

I only build Trukks against Orks and SMs for the most part. Chaos has Horros so most vehicles just die, and Trukks don't do much to defilers and Predator tanks anyways, the mainstay of Chaos tier 2. IG has sentinels, and I spam killa kanz against IG. Eldar maybe. Those Bright;ances and FDs really make short work of my Trukks. Trakks can use bomb chuckas to disrupt them at least.

However, Ork AV is weak, and the primary force of Ork t2 is Nobz, so Trukks does wonders there. SM also don't have as good AV as the other races, although meltabombs are still scary. Still, the mainstay of Marine tier 2 is still infantry, so Trukks help.
