Hi, i have been playing DoW for a wile now and i am bored of the same old skirmish matches and campaign maps. So i thought i would try something new. I was wondering if there is a DoW map editor that can make scenarios and maps?
If there is, where can i find it and how much space does it take up?

you can find it here

there are instructions on using these tools somewhere in adeptus modificatus..
eversince since they rearranged the forums, it has made it harder for people to notice there is a whole modding section here!!!!

Nothing. 50 Meg tops. If you don't have free space to install them, you don't have free space to run Windows.

Don't quite like the interface and the uer-friendliness of the map editor. I was on it for 2 days before I gave up trying to understand it.

My biggest concern is if the file has a virus and my second biggest is if it stuffs my whole DoW game up.
A couple of questions:
1) Who published/created the map editor
2) How much internet download space does it take up
3) Is it corrupted or infected
Thanks for all your help!
The mod tools are official from Relic, they dont contain viruses.

@SHUMA22: Yes it is. I had loads of fun trying to make custom maps and campaigns for FreeSpace 2 and Starcraft. But for Dawn of War, it was a complete pain.

Which versions of DoW (not including WA) does the map editor work for?

If I'm not mistaken, the current version supports both I think.
Minion it really would help if you would just download and install it and then take it from there rather than asking people to take pictures for you. It will not stuff anything up, as the install is seperate from your DoW installation, and it is not infected.

1.41 Version of Mod Tools if your Running 1.41 version of DoW, it would also be handy to have 1.41 as all mods are working with that version

Odd question, as there is a great range of hardware represented by the community but yes, you can do that (it is infact done all the time, have a look in the maproom). Large maps with a lot of objects and effects are obviously more taxing on the system. Slower systems will have a problem with very large and detailed maps.

If you're determined to make maps or if you've ever downloaded any maps for DoW, then you should know the answer is yes.
Just download the tools, check whatever map making tutorials there are in Adeptus (http://forums.relicnews.com/forumdisplay.php?f=96), open a thread there asking your questions if you need to, and start experimenting. That's the only way you're going to learn.
