Since CoH will have experience gaining and carrying over of units that survive, I wonder how this will be handled in a campaign?

Most RTS games start with core units or even none that have to be built up, but usually by the end of that map you have built up quite a force.

Now I dont know the troop/armor caps but if you built up 6-8 squads and a few special weapons and armor, will all this be avail for the next scenario?

Or will they get put in some kind of reinforcement mode that soon as you summon another troop it will pull the units from this pool?

I havent played too many games that handled this other than types like the TW series and thats not really a RTS. I think ground control may have done it but its been awhile since played those.

Just passing time til some new vid pops up to discuss..:)

Who says you can even build bases in the campaign? Its most likely like Homeworld, with gradually unlocking better units, while not being limited by cap, but by resources.

I believe there will be quite some missions of "establish a base of operations".

You start with 2 / 3 squads, and must capture a vilage, and convert it to a base of operations... so i think you can build.

And if this tells the storry of a company, your "main squads" will gain rank and pass to other missions, but "extra infantry" that you may have built in the previous mission wont acompany you, cause that will cause someting like BFME1 where the 3rd godd side scenaario, you arrived with your elite rohan cavlary and run over the enemy's base... a 4 minute mission...

Thats what I was wondering, Rush for Berlin has a setup where you get core units that earn experience and carry over but its a small amount, anything after that doesnt live past the map.
