Yes, I am also working on compiling a general FAQ about Company of Heroes.
Please post any and all of your questions about this game in this thread and I will do my best to get them answered for you over the next couple weeks.

Seriously if the enemy has a building occupied can you send troops into the building to clear them out or do you have to kill them from outside before your troops can go in?

Mmm... I like beer... Where was I? Ah, yes. As far as questions go, I believe the "Questions for the Developers!" thread has lots of valid ones. But the ones interesting me the most are:
-Will there be a demo and if so, when can we expect it?
-Is skirmish/ multiplayer restricted to Allies vs Axis?
-How many missions does the campaign consist of?
-Will the weather affect gameplay?
-How do officers work in the game?
-Does aircraft require LoS and do the airstrikes have a recharge timer and cost resources?

Do you have any idea of an official release date? I don't buy the 9/11/06 one since there was no official announcment regarding the date.

- How many multiplayer maps will ship with the game?
- Is relic setup to offer continued support after release in the form of patches, more multiplayer maps, etc?
- Will relic online include ladders, clan support, etc?

Is there a tangible plan for post-support, can we expect to see updates to multiplayer in both form and function and if so how often and for how long?
Will the game carry a realism theme? a mix of realism and balanced play? or not realistic at all?
How will air units work? I mean specificly in will they come from a certain direction or randomly, will there be a noticable pattern? and how many air units will be avialable?
I think that is it for now...

how long after game release will the SDK be released, and will it include writen tutorials or will that be up to us?
Is the game mainly hard coded, or will it be designed to be easily modified?
(last one asked due to bad experience with HW, and they inexplanable tie between the collectors range and mining speed)

Do you plan on releasing an XML Feed for the game
(for stats)
-If so, do you plan on giving advanced stats like wins and loses per map.
Do you plan on releasing a Fan/web Kit (graphics, movies, sounds, renders, screenshots etc)
Is there anything special on the upcoming beta patches other then fixes? :D (just need a yes/no :D)

Already implemented. Users can create multiple profiles under each account and use them as they see fit.

Will there be an opportunity to play axis vs. axis or allies vs. allies, or mixed teams of forces, on more then 2 sides? (even if it goes a bit against history ;) ).

I spotted the game cover in my local gaming shop's upcoming release section (Australia), that usually means it will be out within the next month (September)? If DC isn't going to be released until October, then I'd say that CoH is going to come out first?
Whats the deal with DX10, will it come with the game, and what graphic reqs do we need to run high res? I can run high res DOW/WA wiht my 6600 so can I do the same for CoH?
Oh, and why WW2?
Will there be map packs? I really hope so....

What is the maxmium number of units on a map that the game is designed to ideally support (in terms of performance and pathing)?

After units have completed a move, can they be "pointed" in a certain direction?
Can vehicles be ordered to "back-up" - keep armour toward enemy while they retreat?

What does unit veterancy give? Does firing artillery use resources? Will sp campaign include "stealth" missions or missions with no unit and base building? Will the campaign player be restricted to one tree or will he have the ability to use all three/mixed options at once? Hey, it IS the campaign after all, should have more options and variety and shouldn't care about balance much. ;)

I am Tharulerme (That's my game and forum name, but my real is Dave, call me what you want.) the Site Admin from companyofheroes files (Sorry for advertising, just wanted to show the link to you, that can provide a bit more trust.), and I would like to make a Q&A for our viewers.
We are kind of a fan-site, but we also host files for the game, which other people can download.
It's kind of a huge Information and File source, that's why I want to ask you 7 questions about Company Of Heroes.
By the way, we have other filefront networks aswell, also for Dawn Of War!
I hope you can answer them, but if you can't, or if you may not, then I understand, that's fine with us of course.
Well here are our seven questions:
Q1 - As we heard from early information and as we saw in the Beta demo video (off screen) we saw that Company Of Heroes is a game that looks in our eyes like Age Of Empires or Empires Dawn Of The Moden World.
Also we already heard and saw that you can build buildings, and create units from resources.
Is this true, or is the game in your opinion still different then this sounds?
Q2 - Talking about resources, we already heard one way in the Beta video, that you can get resource points by taking flags.
Are there more ways to gain resources, or is taking flags / point's on the map the only way?
Also, when you took a flag you gain resources, but what if the enemy immediatly takes it back and you take it back aswell, do you get as much resources as the first time? Or does it needs a "restock" time. Or isn't it recapturable / restockable at all?
Q3 - In multiplayer, is it possible that to complete a campaign with another player, in other words - is there a Coop mode?
Q4 - Something that bugs me very much, but I think others worry about this aswell.
In many of these kind of strategy games it was possible to cheat in single player AND multiplayer.
The half of those strategy games had the option that the host of the server could allow or disallow cheats, though the other half didn't.
So are there cheats for singleplayer or multiplayer? Or for both? Are there any cheats at all? Because I think it should be good to be able to block those cheats, especially in multiplayer!
Q5 - Talking about a Coop mode, is it possible to fight with Computer's and Player's BOTH online? And will you all get to fight for yourself? Or are you placed on axis / allied side?
Q6 - *Many people that are visiting us want to know the following:*
We heard once that it's possible to create your own maps. Then we want to know if that's really true.
If it is, can you also share them with others or even play them together online?
Q7 - How would you describe the Americans versus the Germans, is one of the countries a bit over powering the other? Or are they both stronger and weaker in several different points?
Oh ONE more thing, which I just made up.
It is now 23 July, do you have any idea WHEN the demo may come out for us? Or aren't you allowed to answer this.

Will CoH retain the long-standing Relic feature of customizable unit colors and badges? What features are there to allow the player to "connect" with their troops? (Such as being able to be called GoatThrowing Company instead of Able) Will the ACCESS cheat grant me a free super unit like in all other Relic games?

1. Why only "Axis" (Germany without Japan etc.) and "Allies" (USA without UK or Russia)?

1. How does the enemy a.i. handle itself? There's no need for advanced a.i. if the cpu can't think, let alone fight it's way out of a paper bag.
2. Do vehicles take more damage from the rear and sides?
3. Does this game also feature a morale system.
4. Can vehicles run over infantry now?
5. How large will the single-player campaign be in terms of missions?
6. Can you call airstrikes, artillery barrages, or things of that nature?

In the campaign will there be named characters are will there be generic people talking in intros/outros (If there are any), how high is the population cap to standard infantry(as in can you like 5, 10 or like 15 squads out at a time)?

Are there any voice actors signed on? if so who? what kind of story delivery can we expect, the dawn of war type game engine or a more roots style animatics?
