View Full Version : HW anti-cheat feature
I noticed that HW on WOn has a near invincible anti-cheat feature. It would be nice if we could get that technology over to counter-strike..as you all know (those who play it) cheaters really pass me off the moth fluffers!

pass me off the moth fluffers
. . . the hell?
That's the single weirdest cursing substitute I've ever seen, and I've seen/heard/said quite a few.

It would be nice if it was that easy, but they are two completely different games run by two completely different systems (multiplayer for CS isn't run by WON anymore, is it?).

HW's anti-cheat thing is by no means invincible.
First off, it often gives a cheat warning when the other person is not cheating. So there'd be a lot of people being kicked for cheating when they're not really cheating. In HW, if people see a cheat warning, it usually gets ignored - b/c it comes up even when people aren't cheating.
Second, it's actually easy to spoof. Several exploits have been found... one managed to get all research instantly, I believe. Didn't set off a cheat detect b/c the file that was edited was not checked by the cheat detection program.

It's called editing the files, thanks to Dr. Bigviewer.
P.S: moth fluffers is a common swear replacement, along with the ones as common as "doughtnut coffie."
