Spare Command Points?

    Spare Command Points?

    Something I've noticed, in long games even after you get all your 6 abilities from your doctrine tree, you keep accumulating command points I think.

    Can these be used for anything? Any purpose? It would make sense to me just to grey out the command point counter once all abilities had been obtained to prevent confusion.

    i wish they were more abilities, sinse you use them up quite quickly the points.

    the worst like you said is doctrine, i usealy end up with 6

    I'd like the ability to spend CP on resources. Say 400/150/75 per CP spend, only allowed once you have bought all abilities.

    i want axis defencive command to have more abilities sinse the only good one is 88mm ANTI- AA gun

    yhea, that is one thing i never understood. made me think if something was missing my eyes, and we could go back and pick up some more abilities from the other trees... but that would be kind of... BAD.

    Can we do anything with the extra points, or can we expect some more abilities?

    I think the 2 defensive trees (axies and allies) could have more defensive buildings. like another type of "sandbags" like those pre designed ones, that we see scatered in the scenario (the ones that make a circle), that are way more useful for MG''s.

    The resource idea is kinda neat.

    As for the Axis AA gun, I've only played as them once, but I thought the description said AA/AT (anti-tank)?

    I do agree though that the defensive trees could benefit from some sort of construction-related changes but I think at this point the game is largely feature finished. Doubt we'll see changes like that as those sort of things requires quite a bit of balance testing (though there's no better time to do that then during a beta of course!)

    I wouldn't mind seeing new abilities for the factions, too. I always end up with alot of points leftover even after I get everything from a particular tree. If we can't get full-fledged abilities, I'd still like to see some use for the command points as simple as extra resources. Even just a little bit would be helpful.

    Personally i think they should just grey it out. You get plenty specials to choose from and to get extra resources would kinda negate the specials that affect resources. Donr forget experience itself is still usefull becasue the individual units will still get it, becoming better ranks. I reckon the game is fast paced enough without it getting faster with more resources from command points.

    Jock - axis units won't get those experience points since they don't level like allied units.
    Besides, you get maybe 5-7 experience points too much, that would be something like 2000-2800 MP in my scenario.
    Thats hardly making supply drops worthless.

    They need to have uber command abilities for each tree that cost like 8 points

    Yeah, a super ability designed to crack any conceivable stalemate.

    I think your number of command points is limited to 5 though..?

    Hmm, or perhaps have each additional command point strengthen your trees... strengths! Like maybe for the tank commander have each one maybe increase armor or cannon power. It does seem silly to have all these points you can't use for anything.

    If all else fails, maybe left over points could add a multiplier to your endgame score or something.

    I'd like to see them swappable, for each point over you can choose 100 of either of the three resources.

    Nah, grey it out.

    You would accumulate exp from fighting the entire game if it wasn't capped, meaning you would get an escalation in the amount of resources people have indefinetly.

    Grey it out. I mean the game is pretty well balanced as is, and having the extra points could be considered a bug, as you cant actually spend them.
