Banners are blurry for everyone?

Well I am new to the forum so I will keep it short and simple. I have ended up buying and selling this game 3 times now and I most likely would have kept it the first time if I new you could make/use custom banners and badges.

I have almost everything on the graphics settings on high and the game runs just fine. I was wondering if everyone else experiences a Blur on their ingame banners.. I downloaded a American Flag banner just for shits and giggles to see what it looked like in the game to have US troops taking Stategic Points. But, the American flag Banner which looked great in the Army Painter is blurry ingame.. If I am not making any sense just tell me and I will make it clearer.

Oh and also, When you download Textures/Skins from skins@hiveworldterra@co@uk ( doh hope I dont get banned for this but, the site looks like it is well known by DOW players. replace @ with a .) I know already that they change the Skins and Textures of your units and building and I been having a killer time with it but, do other people that you play with online see the change also? or is it one of those changes that you only see...

add the line "fullres_teamcolour=1" to your local.ini file in your Dawn of War folder.

But PLEASE be sure your computer is able to handle it first. Because this line unlocks the highest teamcolour (banners/badge) resolution,

I tried putting DoW on full settings once... All I can say is that this game is beautiful....

Well the system I normally play on can handle it for sure..
3.6ghz Processor
3gig Ram
BFG GeForce 7900 GTX 512MB PCIe
Plus some other Video Enhancers.

But, my labtop that I use at school only has a

1.4ghz Celeron Processor
512MB ram
and a Nvidia Geforce 5200 FX

Will it be able to run it also or will I have to live with low res on one and good res on my Desktop?

Banners and Badges are transferred in the loading phase of the game online, so everyone gets to see those (bugs allowing). Pattern files however, being that they are quite large, and there are a lot of them don't. Any skins you download and install will be seen by you only. Think of it as a bonus, you get to see every elses marines just the way you like them (with the exception of colour and B&B sets.. you can't stop the hoards of Hello Kitty CSM )

Don't even try the high graphic fixes on the laptop. But that desktop is pretty zippy. You should not have many problems running it there. You will see a HUGE difference in the badges and banners with that line enabled.

As far as everybody else seeing your banners....yes they will see them (wether they will see the detail that you do depends on thier settings of course) At the beginning of a multiplayer game you will see that the game downloads everybodies banners and badges to everyone else.

I've actually been wondering what the recommended cut-off is in regards to computer specs for using fullres_teamcolor=1 and forcehighpoly

Ok so the skins don't show up, that is all good. I tried the settings on my labtop and had no issues in a 4v4 game. It was vs computers though so I guess the Internet/Host Connection Factor wasn't figured into the lag issues. People keep telling me not to run the game on high everything on my labtop but, I never have issues.

Sucks that you can design this uber nice banner/badge and no one will see it for what it is. Then again I don't care about them that much.
