i have decided to create minimods that you could collect and make your own custom mod with.

heavy cruiser turret mod

carriers have better firepower and and better targeting.allows them to shoot down strike craft more easily

teamcolors mod

the kushan are now green with a dark green stripe, and the taiidan are now light blue with a dark blue stripe

keeps the altered turrets but changes the ion emplacements to look cooler

enhaces the fighter and corvette class ships for a tougher opponent

Random question: How do you edit the actual models and mex files? I'm still at a complete loss about that >_>

Model files (.peo) can be converted to useable formats with 3d exploration (look on JST-Online for it). .mex files are edited using HWSE.

i actually took the taidan destroyers guns and took off the barrels.also i reduced build time by 100 seconds but lowered the firepower and the armor.it is still really powerful because you can build three in the same time it takes to build 2 kushan cruisers!

Got both...so far I've only used 3dex for .lif conversions and visa versa...didn't know about the .peo though. Thanks
HWSE can edit .mexs? I didn't know that...I've only ever used it to see the names of the .mex entrys...hmm I'm going to look into that then.

Just for future refrence, 3dex .lifs won't work in homeworld (they're basicly renamed .bmp files). To make useable .lifs for homeworld, use LifList (I hear HWSE can fix the 3dex .lifs too, but it won't add them to textures.ll for you).

Mine worked so far. Whilest doing my editing I've made sure the colors stay at 255...and I don't get any errors or odd coloring (just an FX mod anyway)

the team colors mod has a really nice taidan color,i would reccomend downloading it!
