    Can't connect to all players

I have been playing with my friends online for a while, since a few patches back that has no longer been possible. Weve done extensive testing, trapped packets, disabled firewalls etc...

We attempted 2 games, #1 him hosting, #2 me hosting.

    Thanks

The problem looks to be with the first person's warnings.log file.

Can that person post a log file from hiijack this please? http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt

Hi ÜberJumper, I'm the swiss person ;-D. You speak about two log-files. A warning.log-file and one from hiijackthis.

How do I make the warning.log-file?

I am not teh Über, but ....
Go to My Documents > My Games > Company of Heroes BETA. Open the warnings log and save it in WordPad.

    Couple of possibilities:
    - There appears to be some windows defender stuff running; make sure you disable the windows firewall
    - There appears to be some symantec stuff runnung; problems between Norton and CoH have been reported
    - There appears to be hamachi running; I'm not sure how hamachi works, or if it interferes with CoH, but it might be worth trying with that turned off

    What corsix said.

    The Swiss:

See the stickies on the top of the forum for the files we need. And post it in your OWN thread.

Nortons auto scan is disabled and I have uninstalled windows defender. Hamachi is usually turned off as well, with its network adapter disabled while I am playing.

I have tried running with a completely blank startup and met the same fate. If it helps, my router is a Netgear WGR614v6.

Ahhh Netgear. Moe reported connection problems with his.

Did you check the "Disable SPI Firewall" option?

I did try that after seeing it in another thread to no success. DMZ's and port forwarding have also met with no success.

There is however another firmware version out for it, and while it does not name a fix related to CoH or my issue I will try it anyway.

I've done some more work and it seems updating my netgear router perhaps did it. Although, with this many people having issues a quiet server side fix isnt entirely out of the question.

If the problem is with your router, how could a server side fix address it?

I doubt it is with my router as settings never changed between being able to play and being able to not play. One look at this forums recent problems seems to back that up.

There was some reported issues with one of the servers that *might* be effecting the NAT transitioning stuff, however, it's outside of my capability to diagnose if that's what's messing with you.
