So it's come to this, has it? :hover:
Now that I've been exposed by Buggo's interview, it seems that I'm destined to receive constant whispers, pms and whatever else (other than phone calls) about balance. If it has to be, it will be. I don't abhor the idea, rather if I could be of help I'm interested in the challenge. I'm generally a mediator type, I have tons of patience, and I will almost never take things (especially the balance of a game) too seriously. Such has come from experiences as a person, experience leading TLSC's Dawn of War Division, and a long-standing term as a player on the DoW ladder since 1.0.
On that note though, it doesn't mean I'm inclined to take constant flames about race X being underpowered, or race Y that I supposedly play being useless/nerfed/etc. I'm willing to help, listen and confer with members of the community, but only the curt and level-headed have a place in my books.
Don't worry, it's not that hard. If you want to make my msn list, there are definitely stipulations, but if you simply want to let me know about an issue, I will give a format below. Submit your case in said format to the above e-mail, although I -Cannot- guarantee that I will get back to you, though I will try. I'm a patient guy, so I won't avoid discussing issues with you guys, but I have a hankering that I'll be very busy, so if all I'm getting is complaining and moaning in a window, don't be surprised when that window closes.
I certainly hope this will work out both for myself, and for the community. Additionally if it could help out balance in any way, that would be super. I think this may be more efficient than sporadically surfing the forums, as you never know what you might miss. And if someone can bother to send me an e-mail, I'll be more impressed than if I see a thread title "ZOMG relic this unit wut wer u thinkingg?"

The_Fell-Format
Race/MU : Name the race to which the problem pertains. If a certain matchup, name that as well.
Issue summary : Describe the issue in 2-3 sentences
Argument : Describe your views on the issue in point form
Evidence : Include the frequency at which this issue occurs. Include the names of others who support this view if possible. Attach replays. In extreme cases, lay down a game time and I'll see if I can make it for some testing.
Suggested solutions : In point form, suggest changes, knowing they may or may not be made, and if they are, will possibly be only met halfway.

Example:
Race/MU : Orks. Concerning all matchups with Orks.
Issue summary : Tankbusters are too good all around. Nowhere near paper for cost, easily spammable, their damage makes almost all vehicles in all matchups obsolete.
Argument :
-Only horrors offer a similar cost for a full squad of anti-vehicle, although tankbusters are clearly better.
-Firedragons require close range and stationary oppurtunities to do reasonable AV damage. Space Marine MLs are very expensive and vulnerable.
-Tankbusters require very little micromanagement, are fairly expendable, and are more accessible than any other AV except for maybe Firedragons.
-Notice in most replays/games vs Ork, vehicles are seldomly made, and are very difficult to utilize cost-efficiently.
-Most ork units do soft vehicle damage as is, the newfound TBs are over the top.
Evidence : Almost every game vs Ork, most races will have a very difficult time fielding vehicles cost-effectively. Replay - Stefan vs Slow_runner. Replay - Dae vs Thor. Santiago and Left have both agreed on this.
Suggested solutions :
-Reducing hp or damage, given their low cost, is an option.
-Increasing the cost likewise might be a good solution.
-Increasing the build-time might be an option for a smaller nerf.
