Modelling wise, Kadaeux has pretty much finished the Imperial Fleet, while the Chaos one is currently in progress. After these are done they will be sent to me for importion into OE and then sent to Maltor.
Coding wise, Maltor is steadily working through weapon values and stats.

speaking of the homeworld 2 BFG mod, how exactly is this mod's ingame physics gonna happen? i can understand the HW2 bfg mod's point of view cuz homeworld 2 is a space RTS game, but here you got a ground RTS game with space ships in it. how exactly will the physics be applied here?

but not gonna tell you anymore. but as a rough idea think star trek armarda 2 if you've ever played it. I really struggle why people find it so hard to concieve a total conversion mod (the change to ships rather than men) if they can concieve the idea of a new race being added. it's practically the same work, only more of it.
but then againi've been working on this for a long time now.

Good Day of the Emperors Ascension to you all. The Imperial Fleet, or the Battlefleet Gothic Mod Team has been working exceptionally hard this year, and I'd like to personally thank my team and all those who helped with ideas, without you I'd probably of never got this project off the ground.
Special thanks to Kadaeux, who has shown us all that he is an exceptional modeller, powering through those models like a Khorne Bezerker in a Butchers, and almost completing every race on his own. I'd also like to thank Thud, for assisting me in recruitment and general modding help, without you I wouldn't of got Kadaeux..or any of the other millions of workers you've sent us who seem to disappear. [Its Homeworld...traitors].
And I think I have an apology to make, to the community. Sorry for always saying 'Release soon', when there never actually is a release. I am not lying to you, this is what the various members seem to say to me, but due to fate, the release is delayed [One of our coders going missing for example, or being hacked]. Sorry for this, and one thing I can promise is that this mod will not die. Even if I'm on my own, I will finish it.
I'd also like to apologise to Mith, who I treated quite badly for my own selfish reasons, I learnt from that mistake and I won't let it happen again.

Well, first off, BfG is not dead.
The curse has hit us, Maltor - our coder - has left the mod, and as such we now have a new coder.
As such, theres a complete standstill of pregress, again.
We'll soldier on though.
Best of luck guys. You have some very interesting work done and promising ideas. Just keep it up, things will soon settle down and you'll hopefuly offer us some more goodies soon (warp-entities know we have been through this too, and things are moving again)

Progress is going to be very slow, Kadeaux has disappered, Min is moving and will be without internet, I'm going through councelling and stuff for my issues, our coder is working but without any models theres not much to be done.

Haven't you made a common assets repository? I really recommend doing so, it solves many a problem and many a difficult files retrieval in case of crash. After all, you all work towards the same goal, a team should share the works done with multiple saves.
We have Savefile and gmail, its just that Kadaeux has been using Max 9, and I have Max 8.
So no exportion for now.
Does it mean that coding's pretty much finished though if the coder can't do much without models?
What I meant is he can only get so far without them, so we're still at a standstill, but we're working on the models with help from Lleman.

Well, if the problem was that the modeller was using Max 9 then that's theoretically a non-issue now... with the new exporter, Max 9 (and theoretically Max 2008) can export models just as easily as Max 8 could (or possibly easier.) Even if they need additional animation work, they could theoretically be exported as a static mesh and then re-imported into Max 8 via use of Santos' Tools if that's where the animation needs to be done.
The exportion issue is solved, currently we are creating a new coding build, after the previous coder resigned.
So trudging along very slowly.
been waiting for this mod for 2 years now, are there any models done? I've been trying to look through the former posts and cant really find anything but I haven't gone back far enough.. NM found the models, is there any works done in game yet or how close is it to alpha or beta?

Its a Homeworld conspiracy...
Basically, real life has been a real issue with me, I've been going to psycaritists for Bipolar disorder, got tons of school work to do, and little access to the computer.
Kadueax, being the fantastic modeller he is has been pumping out models non stop, and our many coders get close to a beta, and either give up, or disappear.
I have a lot of faith in our new one though, heres hoping he won't either.
Really hoping to see this mod come to fruition, its perfectly thought out and you guys have amazing models I wouldn't mind seeing some in actual space and yea, I heard the Homeworld 2 mod was on hiatus and to be honest that had the brightest prospect for the game since it was already in a 3D environment and only really needed some graphical tweaks and model changes, not entire coding and re-working of game mechanics like this, I love it tho! keep up the great work!
Again maybe getting ahead of myself here but would there be any way to tie in DoW with this mod say, IG or SM or other races send drop pods, transports, teleports, or the like but where the ships would beable to drop troops into orbit and after the result of the battle, how ever many troops got to the surface would beable to be fielded on the battle? and if your fleet survives you can call in reinforcements..
Wouldn't be possible in the basic Skirmish. You want that, then when you finish a game you should load up Vanilla or another mod and then play a Skirmish there. *smiles*
