Oh crap, its the 666th post. I think the only progress worth noting is that Gorb and James, our two coders have started work on the build. Still lacking a texturer, any offers will be appreciated.
I'll help you on the texturing front every now and then if you like.
I can't offer my help on a perminent basis as I have to work, produce free C.G.I models and help out four other mods for various different games at this time.

Hawk_Silk is currently texturing His Holy Fleet of the Majestic Imperial Navy, and Gorb is steadily working through the code.
Yeah I started with the Cobra Escort texturing it as I UV map it so not pictures yet. (sorry guys)
Once it is nearly done I'll send Kadaeux some pictures and he or Heretic might put them up on here.

Heres another fleet we have planned, probably one of the ones we have planned which you guys wouldn't of guessed...the Adeptus Mechanicus. Special thanks to Jianaran for his help on the ideas, and here is a brief summary of the way the race will be played:
Essentially, this will make the Adeptus Mechanicus a completly different faction, exploring and discovering lost technology to level up. Completely unique, I must say.The thing I had planned for AdMech was to make them less of a combat race, they gain interest by researching. No structures, to suit the idea of an 'explorator fleet' The player would start with an 'Ark Mechanicus', which would then be used to search the map of technology, akin to the soul resource in the manner of it being collected. When enough resources are collected, the player gains access to other ships, which are called off map. To represent this, 'interest' is the second resource, almost like the necron resource. More research you buy, the more interest you gain - and the better ships you get.
They only have a few ships, but where they lack in numbers, they pack a massive amount of armour. Players of the Adeptus Mechanicus will have to constantly be moving, and use micromanagement to their advantage, as it'll be a stupid player indeed to attempt to stay put and defend.
It's also given me a chance to improve my modelling skills - as shown by the screen shots below.
The Heavy Cruiser will be the mainstay of the AdMech's fleet, providing support for the slower classes.
The HC can also be outfitted with Lance Batteries, to provide differentiating firepower.
Also join the Machine God's fleet is the Cruiser and Escort, both of which will provide support for the larger units.
Next up is the main ship, which is called upon when the player has enough Interest, the Ark Mechanicus.
And finally, as the Adeptus Mechanicus have access to all kinds of wierd and wonderful ships, both old and untested - here is the ancient ship (from the days of Space Fleet); the Iron Clad.

Well, I can't comment on coding progress. And Adeptus Mechanicus is not the only unexpected fleet we'll be doing.
We're also doing Rogue Traders, who will also be played differently. As well as capturing planets, they will be able to establish trade routes, and siphon resources from players. Another possible feature is the inclusion of alien races, where they can build alien ships when they discover ports.
Note: These are not confirmed, or yet proven to be possible.
