    This mod really should have an entire english forum to prevent the same questions from being asked again and again.

    a simple way is to look on Gamefaqs, and theres a thing about hacking ships into missions using the persist files, and basically you use that same principal only, you replace the names of things like hgn_interceptors with things like Zaft_ginn_mikael or something like that (however numerous small glitches can happen with this method, mostly becuase theres a { or } missing or extra (and then you just have to examine the files extensively to find it)

    I played through an entire SP campaign using modified ZAFT units. It was awesome.

    You can hack the persist.lua files, but it's pretty inflexible as it just changes your starting fleet. I'd suggest copying over relevant segments of Zaft's build.lua and research.lua into the Hiigaran race folder, then adding the ability to build ZAFT_Fighters, ZAFT_Corvettes etc to the Hgn mothership, carrier, shipyard .ship files.

    One thing I couldn't get working was for the Zaft units themselves to produce units. (ZAFT Nazca carrier couldn't build anything, no build menu availible, I also couldn't add subsystems to Duel and Buster). I don't know how to fix that, so if anyone knows, feel free to speak up. =)

    I just checked sunnycat's blog...and on the left I saw...PICTURES OF GENESIS! So I guess...2.0...will be alot more epic than we expected...

    So now I have no problems with the delay, a few games should hold me down till then.

    What Colony is SEED set in? because if its set anywhere set passed 197... than gundam has failed in a sense. at the end of Endless Waltz Gundam Wing it says no weapon known as mobile suits or gundams were EVER seen again... so i want to make sure..

    and just to point out i didn't get to see enough of Gundam Wing Zero Custom. i think its the most bad ass mecha in the world. but thats my biased opinion. but still is it set after Colony 197

    Seed is set in the Cosmic Era or C.E. Wing is the only one set in A.C (After Colony) So they are not related, don't stray off topic. Thread will be closed.

    So according to the pictures, it seems that you start with Genesis?

    I was just asking, because i am confused... and its a heartbreaking topic to never see a gundam again. but yes the Genesis is sweet, but if you open up the .BIG its in there, actually it works. just make it appear in a mission or something. or change the Starting fleets file and look at it that way, i did.

    I do like the skin so far im more interested in how they will do the mirrorish part of it. Actually it looks like thay changed up alot on the model its looking very sweet.

    FYI the genesis was in the 1.2 mod to start with, it just wasn't added to any buildlists.

    I know it was in the mod, but this one looks more complete. I'm sure it has a new firing FX too.

    Waiting to see how the mirror system works on it. Although I'll be fine with a simple 60minute recharge.

    they cant have just the GENESIS in though that would it way to one sided against ORB though than again ORB never had any superweapons other than a crapload of high performance suits and lohengrin

    Exactly, just like in the show. They took it down with the METEOR/Justice self-detonating. Just keep taking out the scouts so they can't fire Genesis at your mothership. The best thing to do would be to spread out the fleet, so if one half was destroyed, the other half could attack it while it's recharging.

    or perhaps they could make it so that when it fires, for a few seconds before firing, it will fire a dummy beam that the player could see that does no damage, so you can try to get your stuff out of the way before the actual damaging beam comes (just assume its Yzac being with zaft and siding with orb again)

    I dont know but in the anime,genesis can easily handle with a fleet,but can weapons do that in homeworld 2? I think they can only shoot at one enemy after another

    make it so taht its main beam weapon generates a temporary nebula in the line of fire that damages anything within the nebula? and then jsut set it so that that value of damage per second is very very high, and make it so it dies out after a few secs

    Now, thats a good idea, thats how the macross in Macross Generations should work, but how could we produce such a temporary effect, because if we did do that, i could make my Russian Tesla Battlecruiser actually work. so any thoughts on this?

    i remember there being a nuke in another mod i thinks its the complex mod and it could only target one ship but the diameter of the explosion was huge. so i guess make it so its a very large beam and try to target the ship in the middle. think theres going to be a limit of size it can target? ive noticed busters missles can only target frigate and up though after they are fired they can track MS's

    Speaking of AoE weapons. Does anyone know if they plan on adding the "Neutron Stampeder" attachment to Nazca cruisers? It's the radiation array that stops the nukes in GSD and blows up all the MSes.

    How hard is it to mod in the sound FX? I was thinking about going to record some firing sounds from the series, but didn't know if I would be able to insert them anyways.

    Very nice idea with the temporary nebula. Ultra, that is semi-on topic because that is needed to fufill a feature of the mod.

    It's easy to insert the sound, it's just that its hard to aqcuire the sounds because you have to filter out all the music and voices.

    Neutron Stampeders would probably make it in if it's possible to make it do damage to only MW's with nuclear weapons or Nuclear powered.

    actually do they even esplain how the jammers work? because from everything in the show it sounds more like a sensors jammer which radar radiation and radiation from an isotope are not similar. just wondering. i was thinking the stampeder could be under the sensors build option, just have it act a sensor thats more of a jamming field or something within that radius around the ship nuclear weapons wont work. i highly doubt that the justice and freedom are going to be scripted in as nuclear powered since it wouldnt effect gameplay at all

    well, 1 thing I always wondered is if they built the enutron stampeder, adn the N Jammers were made to remove the ability for free moving neutrons in a space, couldn't they jsut boost teh NJammer levels really high to block the N Stampeders?

    w/e, but about them adding the neutron stampeder, what I think they should do is make it a buildable subs to the Nezca class (make it so they can't have the 120mm cannons or soemthign as the tradeoff) and when they fire, they have to use teh special attack shield button to use it, it fires (maybe on same principal of the genesis becuase its a similar idea, only neutrons instead of gamma rays)then somehow switches the look of the stampeder part to a destroyed looking one, the n as the timer recharges (give it a 20 min or 30 min recharge time) it shows a couple clips of it slightly more repaired, unit its fully recharged and fully repaired.


    1 other way for its rules though, is that when you build the subsys, its about a 20 min build, and after you use it, it somehow destroys that subsys, and has to be rebuilt (taking time again) manually, again costing RUs, and thus making it a good weapon, but costly, you can only really use it when you really need to, like a real superweapon would be used, only if really needed (also you can only build like 1 or 2 of them, but idk how you'd regulate that)

    Easiest way to make the 'nebular' effect is a blast effect. Theres no over time though. its when it hits (or misses if you set it to, or both) a blast goes off, you redefine it as a weapon type.


    They used this for the Anti MS grenade special attack of the duel so they know about it.

    you could also make the 'targeting beam' your talking about, though it would track whatever it targeted. easy way out it make the Gensis target capitals only, as they would be to slow to avoid the blast anyway. they use a variant of this to make the eyes of the MS follow what they are targeting at the time, so again they know how to do this.

    The Njammers are ZAFT tech. they know how to get around it. as show by the Freedom. the UE don't know how they work till near the end of SEED.

    While you can't make a sub system self destruct you can set the 'reload' timers to take, oh a year or so if you want. Makes it rather easy to create the effect. you would have to 'scrap' the subsystem and make a new one. Would be fairly easy to do, you would make it use the beam cannon slot. Making it take away the build option would be the difficult part of the coding. or make a specialist unit.

    Seems Freedom doesn't always have the high mats and every other weapon it has activated. <3

    And the different era's are connected I think. With maybe the exception of G Gundam. Endless Waltz said no suits were seen again, but then again if SEED is after Wing, then it could just be "Until now."

    none of them are connected. after war gundam x is the only one that might be connected to UC since their are newtypes but its hard to tell since earth was pretty wiped out by a massive colony drop 100 colonies or something

    the only thing that are story connected are the ff:
    Mobile Suit Gundam, Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket, Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team,UC 0083,Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory,zeta gundam,double zeta gundam,chars counter attack,gundam unicorn,f90,f91,crossbone gundam and victory gundam..

    all of them are in UC timeline. i wish the SeeD did the same thing

    about the mod.. will there be a strike freedom?? how would they do the dragoon effects?? also. the artemis shields...

    well of the side stories the only one that might be connected to anything outside its own era is after war and that might be to UC. wing SEED g gundam are not related to each other or any other series.

    I think they are going to have freedom and strike freedom just you can only have or the other out. even if they dont have the artemis itself in they do need the shield for those two MA in destiny.

    Gundam 00 is connected to UC. Also, just because they aren't in the same era, doesn't mean they're not connected. The modern world is still connected to the feudal era.

    pfft. wait is the dubbed version any good? i think originally it was this month but i might have been moved. and most likely they are going to go with the same docking scheme as in the complex mod. the higgy mothership can dock with the shipyard. but it will be freedom/justice with the METEOR

    I'm pretty sure it should be out in the next couple weeks, and I think that in the final version there will be the meteors and all that stuff (maybe not in the 2.0 or w/e version number this 1 will be)
    also, there is now connection between 00 and UC other then taht both of them contain Gundams, and theres no feudal era vs modern world relation between them either.
    but thats off topic.
    I was messing around yesterday and I made soemthing a little strange in teh game.
    I changed the scout Ginn's weapon with the tristan cannons from the minerva. it was interesting to say teh least.

    also I think that part of the dubbed S2 is on the internet somewhere, gimme a little bit, I'll find it (though its off topic)

    i know its online i know quite a few streaming sites for anime. i was wondering if the dubbed version (english voices) is any good. i saw it in the japanese subbed english. what the heck would a scout ginn do to a fleet with that weapon? oh even better. replace one forearm with the beam and on the other add a barrel from the isolde. the triple gun

    change it so its weapon script is the same as the 9ccn duel. or some of the gundams from the UC mod. i think the NT1 if you had vulcan gun instead of shield and the rx78-2 could be rifle and bazooka

    oh and the strike freedom isnt overkill?

    About the freedom versions, they said they would only have the normal freedom and not the strike freedom.
