yea theyrs 2 that are aparantly beign worked on with a transforming macross and good looking ships but i mean this mod here is the $&#@ lol.I dont know why theyd cancel marcross mods i mean it has potential..so does gundam theyr about in the same alley usually if u like gundam u like macross especially macross plus but yea i cant wait for this mod to come out they have some awsomeness going on.
one Macross Mod hasn't been cancelled yet, i lurk on the forums! and when this mod finishes, or gets an official engrish release! i will combine the Macross Mod/Gundam mod/and Seed Mod Togethar! just cause i want to! but me being a biased pig, i will always prefer the macross! so i shall always say the Yf-19 is best! and the Vf-25! but no one can forget the legendary Vf-1S, or Vf-1J. i never like the YF-25, i thought it looked too ummmm Zentranish, but a Zentran was piloting it. but the thing about macross its highly unrealistic, the pilots don't seem to feel the G forces being pushed around them. in gundam they kind of show it more. Macross isn't Macross without its Variabilizing Jets, and Gundam isn't Gundam without its Overly Done Mechs. if the two were put togethar for this mod! it would be the English ACE 2 i've been looking for. oh well, a noob can dream.

youll need to do a full power rework of the gundam mod if you do that then becuase their MS and stuff are set to uber overpoweredness

they feel the G-forces in macross the thing is there is an inertial dampner that limits its effects and only extreme moves will the pilots actually feel the g-forces. star wars has it and when the pilots do really extreme stuff in that they feel it. it could be that by macross frontier its so good that the pilots dont really feel the effects anymore. i beleive the gundam series has a similar device just the animes gloss over the fact that it has been created.
the 21 i never really liked something just seemed off about it. the only problem i have with the 25 is it looks too much like the vf-1's while trying to look too new
my fave is defo the 19... thats like .. theyrs a mod for fsx i think that ucan fly it.. i dunno i also like the vf11 theyr both nice... for some reson no 1 talks much about the 11... but if a mod with those came out id love to play it they had a mod for hw1 but it was do you rember love.. its old.. its time they moove on to the macross plus era.. the vf1 reminds me too much of an f14 tomcat its too much of a copy but uglyer than the f14 maybe thats why i dont like it. that and the fact the first macross i ever saw was macross plus..with the fight in the asteroids at the begening wich u can u tube it its ben put in a AMV on the song FUEL by metallica.. epic :P! and i agree about the yf21 it can only be flown by a zentradi and it never really did much for me.... the 19 with its many many variants.. its the VF i prefer out of them all but the space variant is not that good looking i like the full wing variant.
theres a gundam/macross mod thats being worked on for a combat flight sim that i play called strike fighters, apparently they figured out that you can use things liek tanks in the game and then from there are making MS and transforming valks. And they plan on adding battleships the the macross itself as thigns oyu can go shoot at.
But for Seed Mod, how would i go about modding it so that the tanhuser has a slightly longer recharge time?
I rather liked the Vf-1, i thought they looked sexy, seeing how they were rather sharp. and that game strike fighters, i have a copy of it, they're working on a gundam/macross mod for it!? dang can't wait for that.
yeah the vf-0 and 1 i liked well not the single laser ones the head just isnt cool. the 19 probably the best looking one. in my opinion the 21 or 17 is the worst looking one (17 is the stealh looking one in macross 7 for those with faulty memories) and the 21 can be piloted by humans max piloted one near the end of 7
oh and there is a mod for C&C generals zero hour called xenoforce the generals are gundam, zaku and macross. gundam has from all the universes not just UC CE or wing and macross goes up to macross 7 which is after plus
i know all about Xeno force i occasionally play it, but the only one with AI is Zaku, i mean i always or mostly play Macross cause its my favorite, but i would like to have a battle againse the Gundam General once in a while.
yeah AI with gundam and macross generals is horrible. I really only play the Vietnam mod for zero hour. But for SEED i wonder how exactly they are going to use the METEORs as turrets for the eternal, attachments for F and J or if not attached to a ship as a platform something like an ion/missle platform i guess
Yeah but Xenoforce is dead. yeah, how are they going to do that!? there was one game that almost had a fully functional Macross Mod, Battlefield 1942, a couple of japanese was working on it a many year ago, and suddenly stopped for unknown reasons, and the websites been down for years, i just wish they made a release! the Veritechs or VF's could Variablize! but its gone now.
i've been thinking now, the only reasong how a Yf-21 looks like a Zentran/Un ship combined cause it resembles too much of the Female BAttle armore [sorry to use robotech terms] but thats why... thats what makes it so ugly.

No they're bonus units in the game, you get them as a "support" when things are going a bit nasty.
they should still make copies of them (dumbed down so their equal with the other factions) and put them into 1 9CCN faction, cause thatd be cool

also why did they only show duel and buster ....why not aegis and blitz aswell? or justice? legend? impulse?
of the gundams only the duel and buster are in at the moment. and you have to be behind the enemies by a large amount in the resources lost category. easiest way to achieve that is build one of the two and immidiatly scuttle it. ultra im pretty sure they are using only SEED and Destiny units in this mod with the customs as well, no other suits from other timelines/universes
so after losing alot of ru you gain access o building these additional units?
but i've always wanted to see WING inside homeworld 2, i would do it my self, but i tried modeling gundams and they look like ummm something from a bad knock off that a two year old thrown togethar while drunk.
I could make g. wing model. I already did CGUE, and its ready to put in game. But i have problem with texturing. Its just, anything i put or make doesn't fit the model. Pictures from my models should be listed in this forum somewhere.
well maybe aki, its because your the one texturing it that it seems wrong because you don't want to use it if it doesnt look perfect to you, you had a site i saw the pics while u were making the CGUE, put some of the pics with the diff textures you've tried up. Or maybe somone in this forum is a good texturer and they could make textures for the models
damn i want the double x's satellite cannon wing had good models but i hated the storyline so much. i wonder if there were variants of ships like a nelson that was pretty much stripped of weapons and armor to increase its fighter/mobile suit capacity or a version of a ship thats basically a flak little anti-ship weaponry but tons of weapons to target missles and mobile suits/armors
If you could make a Gundam Wing Zero Custom. i would love you forever. of all gundams that one looks the sexiest, well when it comes to customs, my favorite of classics by far is the Rx-78.
my favorite would be either the GPO-3 or the Nu gundam even though the gpo-3 was in for very little time

i see a problem with deathscye thou its main weapon is mele so how would that be done
of that epyon, deathscythe and sandrock would all be out of a HW 2 mod since melee is their primary way of fighting. and seed has enough gundams alone to make a team. so does UC though it would have to be from all the various parts of the timeline
actually as much as i can recall i think apart from some addon stuff like the sword striker and a few others. wing is the only one where most of the gundams are strictly close combat. wu fangs gundams (i can never remember the name of them) the deathscythe and its upgrade as well as epyon and the sandrock with its upgrade. the only ranged are wing, wing zero and heavyarms. oh and g gundam but thats not really gundam in my mind

epyon is more midrange than the other close range units and both sandrock, wu fangs 3 diff suits. and the death scythe all have some form of long range capability. sandrock had an uzi and a shield flamethrower. death had a gun and a shield rocket.

G gundam was like combining Dungeon and Dragons with gundam >_> but i liked it when i was a kid, so i can still stand it today, like how i can stand robotech even thought i am 16, cause my parents fed me Robocrap when i was 7 and stuck on it for years to come to the point where i plan on building a Variable Fighter <_< i was raised wrong. but on to the discussion at hand, there is a "cheap" way to do melee, you can make a MAD animation that motions a swinging motion with a weapon, but thats just prettynis for where the weapon is at, the weapon would be at the chest and only have a range of like 1 or .5 seeing how that isn't truly far try 10 to 5 and i think it would work not muzzle flash and no bullet, just make a bullet thats blank and no noise, just set the way they fight and such, i forget where it is in the LUA file but its in the shipfile and it tells a fighter to do a barell role at this point, and tells a frigate to stop when moving. set it like a fighter and BANG you have melee, it should work, just set the melee action for every time it fires in the MADSTATE file, and set the point of fire for like 5 seconds, and boom, melee.
even though they are never directly shown in the show, its almost requirement for a war to have thigns liek ships that are modded for other roles after manufacture, i really wouldnt be surprised if there was a version of the drake that didnt have the rocket launchers but instead had more spaces to carry mobilearmors and there probably was some kind of ship (probably another variant of the drake) that would have been made for fleet point defence against missiles and whatnot (its small to fill in the cracks in the fleet, adn even though the "normal" version only had like 3 igelstallungs, it wouldn't haev been impossible to put more on there, maybe take off the rocket launchers and load 4,8 maybe 12 more (thinking either 1,2 or 3 of them being mounted in the area that its missile launchers were on different faces to get more fire coverage) vulcans.
actually if you think if the tech they had, the earth forces had so much ridiculious advantage over jaft when all they had was ginns
Making a new race, the 9CCN's faction might cause the game a little unbalanced... cause of the special abilities and some high attack powers they have, like the white zaku ghost that can shoot HELLLLL lots of missles...and the white minerva that can destroy all the mobiles suits and damage the gundams pretty badly just using its special tannhauser...

i dont think any of the universes even have the same statistics for units so balancing between UC, SEED and wing would be hell
even if all three of those universes were to collide Wing would win due to its HOLY SHIT factor and OVER 9000 stats. even some of their regualr MS'S are just shit... holy crap is it really overpowered.
yeah even the flying suits in SEED and UC cant match the aries. other than the nuclear powered ones and variable ones

I would rather wait a little longer than have it now...seens they are doing the EA, I believe its will be a big surprise when the new 2.0 mod comes out, then we can have a big battle. I do just hope that it will be release in the Chinese New Year...really itching to play the archangel...
I havn't played yet, but i wanted to ask about balance:
will this be a fleet mod with traditional fleet battles, where mobile suits are basically just strike craft, or will you make it so that "hero" gundams are truly game-changers, with fleets as support for gundam fights with each player trying to knock out the others' hero?
Gundams will have strategic importance. They are inuverable to kinetic weapons (armour modifier PS Armour reduces damage from ballistic weapons, check unit config and familylist lua files). So standard ginns and MA proubably will be useless against them.
In my opinion, gundams and hero units should be extremaly expensive, so every player that would be able to aquire such unit is going to watch for it. This would make not GUNDAM massive battles, when every side has tens of heroes, but more like skirmishes when every side has few hero units that support battlefield, but alone, would'nt be able to take out entire fleet.

Yup, i think they completed dagger model. From what i remember there was a moebius model completed too. So, besides the warships, they have 2 almost finished units for EA ^^
@Aki Nebula_E, your mention of armor class is really intrigueing to me! Please tell me how the game calculates armor, in detail. I would like to know if it does damage reduction, or calculates penetration force, or anything else. I would also like to know if there is directional armor as a possibility, or only for integral subsystems (such as shooting engines seem to have no armor vs the capship itself)
If you know, I would also like to know how armor affects weapon values. I understand that weapons have a RPM for shooting per time unit, an accuracy value(since I don't think actual trajectory is calculated), and a base critical failure miss value (edit: also, obviously, a base damage value.)
Please tell all about the basic functions of all these parameters, if possible where to find them, and post it in tutorials. I know there are several people who would greatly benefit from a hand-me-down such as this.
