    other than that one gin and the strike i dont really remember anything carrying a bazooka well maybe the doms but i dont remember if the destiny ones had bazookas. UC i know does. and the 2nd unicorn doesnt come out till autumn

    On note of the suits, a couple where not going in go back trough the pages there was a post stating wich ones would not go in.

    I think most of the ships will be in especially since in SEED zaft doesnt have a ship that can match the archangel and most of the ships arnt even really a match for the orb ships

    that missile upgrade for the nazcas really throws them from being a half assed anti fighter ship into being a full on capital to capital ship, like yeah itll lose in a 1v1 fight to the minerva, but in higgy or vagyr its on about the same playing field as a destroyer with higher DPS but less armor, putting the beam cannons on it changes it farther to being a BC almost (maybe sometimes outdo the BCs too)

    so a full combat nazca, there was never 1 shown in the show, but like many things, in war, some pretty odd things show up, and theres always the field repairs

    The Nazca's that had that Neutron stampeder or whatever it was called in destiny couldn't launch MS due to the position of the weapon i believe.

    u are correct but not only couldnt the nazca cant launch suits but it couldnt defend it self with its guns

    .. i didnt think that the ships for the EA in the destiny section were different but i found this



    has all of its weapons as far as i can tell minus the lower gatling gun. and that is a positron reflector on it instead

    Thats why u build multiple frigates.
    Problem with the huge shields is that ships can get into it thus the shield wont stop their attacks anymore.

    yes but on my game after i learned to mod i modded a "capital class" shield frigate, that would make a shield big enough to cover a couple destroyers or BCs or a large group of frigs/fighters And it worked with amazing sucess for fighting the large number of BCs the vaygr have toward the end of the game

    if there is the positron shield in the game, will it be the same as the df frigate in vanilla? some shots still get through or will it block everything even archangel/minervas main weapon? also would it only be directed or would it have to stay the same as it is in vanilla?

    though i still prefer the shielidng in cataclysm the best. actually they could do it like that. both on a timer or if the shield takes to much damage before the timer runs out it goes down and has to recharge.

    badass, tho its a UC game, the GM commander is my fav MS in gundam senki and well that and this are the 2 series versions of eachother

    The models are beautifull but for soem reson i always find they never hold the sheild right... like itys hard to explain but usually if falows the fore arm down... this 1 loosk like hes holding it with his fist.. its weird but any how its beautifull models cant wait to play this

    if you notice the shield is mounted on the forearms but they all have a handle and the shield can be turned so that it can be held in the hand.

    Also, if the shield was held like shields normally are, it wouldn't give much protection from stuff directly in front of the Mobile Suit, and model animations being what they are in HW2, you can't get the mobile suit to flex enough to hold it normally and cover the front angle.

    I'm guessing that's why they hold it like they do.

    the shield i like the least is still the zakus. kinda worthless on the side. i still wonder if those energy shields will be in. not the ones on the sf, ij destiny and legend. but the 2 EF mobile armors and that one ship. and if they are going to make it how it is in the show or if they are stuck with vanilla HW2 defense field

    Well the zaku in seed was designed with shield bashing in mind, hence the spikes mounted on the shields, and also the shield was able to be rotated to the front, they were just innately on the side because it would have taken up too much space in front if it was normally held there, just like if any other MS were standing at attention its shield would be facing the side.

    As for the UC zakus, those shield could also be moved in front of the MS, however in that case, i don't thing the original Zaku 2's arms had the strength to use the shield effectively, so it was mounted to the collar of the MS and then pushed around by the shoulder.
    The GMs being able to carry the shield was be cause the GM was much better technology then the zaku 2 was. However if you not in 08th ms team, there's a zaku 1 that carries a shield in its hand (in like ep 8, it didn't have a gun, just a heathawk and shield) that could have been upgraded via field repairs, or the shield could not have been as strong and thus thinner and lighter.

    As for in the mod, the MS definitely aren't able to be programed to be flexible enough to use the shield on the daggers like it was carriers in the show because well, if they were to program it that way, the release wouldn't be for another 5 years, not including whether the Homeworld 2 engine would even be able to support that much stuff going on at a time for each MS, and then there being several MS active at a time.

    the zakus in 8th ms team your talking about were all battle damaged but im not sure if the gm shield it was carrying was. im pretty certain it was damaged as well

    Duel has a buildable shield, although you can't replace it with anything since the only other weapon the show's Duel had were beam sabers.

    In fact, I don't think there are any suits that had a hand-held shield and replaced the shield with a non-melee weapon. In Seed anyway.

    The shield that the Zaku I held was designed for punching.

    Anyway, I'm hoping that if these do have shield subsystems they adequately protect them, lest my army be destroyed!

    well see if they have the shield as a subs it can be destroyed, personally the way i think it should work is where the zeon nonshielded MS have a set armor (though the zakus should probably have higher def tolerances to the side then in the front because they have the shields mounted on the side), the shielded ones should have it so that the MS's armor itself is lower then the nonshielded, and then with the shields armor it becomes higher, that way it trades off, they'll have an advantage in frontal combat, but be at a disadvantage if they get flanked cause the damage will hit the MS and not have to go through the shield.

    That's the point of making them a subsystem, because they will block damage by receiving damage and in turn be destroyed.

    I think every MS naturally has that disadvantage. :P

    I was just saying that incase they had shields. From the way things are going, it looks like only Ace units that have HAND HELD shields will have a hard point, which I'm fine with.

    It actually takes skill to use a shield right, and in space? You better believe it, so that should explain why the grunts can't block

    The only one I can think of in all the series where the shield covers nearly the entire unit is the GPO 2. Now that I think about it most of the ones in seed seem pretty small compared to the U.C. ones but than I guess they would be easier to use and weigh less.

    how is it set up for the normal suits that have a shield? an attack does the same amount of damage no matter where it hits or does it do less if it hits the shield?

    Zaku shield is also used for weapon (the energy axe) and ammo storage for the beam rifle.
    As for release date i hope its soon but i would think around end of march.
    They keep adding more awsome stuff.
    We gotta remember that the second version originally planned on only adding ORB but now also has earth forces.

    Its looking more and more compleate i just hope theyrs a mode where u dont need the big bases and cave have only carriers or somthing i hate being tied down to defend Big bases that arnt that mobile i liek to relocate alot to confuse the enemi

    It does the same amount of damage anywhere it hits, but the shield takes the damage so it will be damaged instead of the suit itself.

    Why is why the shielded Duel owns so much

    Still, I'm still wonder what the pentagram on the 9CCN Duel does.

    at first i thought it was some kind of speed increase but i think its a weapons power increase but im not sure. only mobile suit i can think of that foregoed the shield sometimes in favor of another weapon is the RX-78-2 with amuro and he only did it once and that was at the very end. all the other times were because the shield was destroyed

    just rewatched that one episode of 8th ms team but i didnt see any modifications to the zaku. i still say shiro amada is the best pilot out of all the series. dodging the zakus gun when hes that close.

    There is only a patch v1.1 for HW2. And that is the one you need to use almost any mod out there.

    ive never heard of a 1.3 patch. i know there is an unofficial 1.2 patch but you dont need it and its more a mod

    Yes, Amstel, it works on Windows 7 excellently! Although I have heard of a problem with 64bit, although I haven't encountered it at all.
    The 1.2 and 1.3 patches are FAN-MADE. The only patch you need is 1.1.

    oh lol :P always thought it was 1.3 but whatever. Oh and grindpantera wich problem is it then ? I know there arent any cracks for the patched versions that work, cus i tried um myself :P
