With its apparent lack of weapons it may be a Marine Corv!!!!!!
My guess: Vaygr carrier.
No one knows yet, but it sure is purdy! The best ooking HW ship in my opinion
because it is doubtful that it is kushan (based on appearence anyway) my guess goes to a ship that has some relation to the kadeshi (again based on appearence). I'm not saying there alive! i'm saying they might be or this could be a ship BASED on kadeshi technology either way.................

Vagyr defectors
Hasn't this topic been discussed about 46 times already? And it does sort of look kedeshi. The rounded areas above the back wings. Kedeshi ships look like that. I'm not saying anything though. I'm think the Kedeshi are dead. We'll just have to wait and see.
In that bottom shot, are those 'bullet holes' that are on fire?

Looking at its design, it's clear to me that it's not Vaygr or Hiigaran.
Well... it is vertically configured so it COULD be Vaygr. But thats about the only thing that ties them... I believe its a mystery ship.
Hmm. So why is it seem with the MS?
It looks to me like a cross beween the tiidani, and kusan research ships.

It's either an NCP ship (a race like the Bentusi that aids the Hiigarans), or it's a derelict that you retrieve and reactivate, or it's something else....

Im pretty sure it is a non-combat ship because of its apparent lack of weapons and being the size of a destroyer it is not likely to be a research ship
Im not sure of the affilation besides that it is probably neither Hiiagaran nor Vaygr

Personally, I think it looks extremely Hiigaran. Now, it doesn't look KUSHAN, but it sure as hell looks Kadeshi. Kadeshi = Hiigaran, so

I go for some kind of engineering ship to help with those
shipyards that may need repairing, after they get attacked.
Look at the size of it, big enough to be a carrier..but it's a
utility type ship, having no weapons, those shipyards will
be huge structures, they will need perhaps support craft.

Well, i have no clue what it could be but whatever it is, the Vaygr are attacking it which would mean (logically) that it's Hiigaran.
(Unless whoever's playing is forcing the Vaygr to attack their own ship. If thats the case, I haven't an idea of what it is)
My guess is that it's Hiigaran, some sort of support vessel.

Naabal, we've seen a movie where Hiigaran ships are attacking Hiigaran ships. You can't tell anything from screenshots at this point.
I'm of the opinion that it's a ship similar to the Kadeshi in Homeworld 1 - a "third race" that's present as a part of the story. Otherwise, I have a feeling Relic would be a bit more forthcoming about it, naming it as a Hiigaran or Vaygr vessel and such.
We haven't seen any weapons fire from it, nor do I see any highly visible weapons ports. I'd suspect it's some sort of special purpose ship - perhaps an alien AWACS (unlikely) or ambassadorial vessel, with a key element in the HW2 plot.
