    Sottevast

    Allied intelligence has uncovered a functional V2 rocket site. To deal with this threat, Fox company is called in to raid the facility. Their mission is to neutralize the V2 site's garrison and destroy the rockets.

    How do you get the air medal in this mission???
    Because i can't find the komandant...

    he;s on the roof. Guarded by grenadiers, a sniper, and flak cannons. he'll move from his first 'base' to three diferent locations you have to force him to move each time. His final fallback position will be outside the V2 launch pad.

    Bug?

    I noticed a weird glitch with this.

    I started with 3 squads of paratroopers. I think they had 3, 4, and 6 soldiers each. I replenished the two smaller squads so that I had 6 soldiers in each squad. I also upgraded the guns on all three, which meant waiting a couple minutes for my ammo to resupply.

    Then I took the outer entrance to the base, grabbing all of the MG's and the AA gun to fortify my position. I was left with, I think, one squad of 3 soldiers, which I replenished again so that I could have 6 soldiers. I detpacked the left wall and satcheled the gun tower. Then I satcheled the second tower. At this point I was given a 10-minute time limit to defend the entrance.

    I put all the MG's into the guardhouse, built sandbags across the road and stationed my one non-MG squad behind the bags. Then I noticed that I had the option to air-drop squads in. So I just kept air-dropping squads in until I reached my population cap. I think this is what caused the glitch. I was at my pop cap when the timer ran down. I received reinforcements, but the timer restarted at 10 minutes again. Since nobody was attacking, I waited to see what happened when the time ran down. Guess what? More reinforcements, and the timer restarted from 10 AGAIN. I walked away for 10 minutes to do other things and when I got back to my puter, the timer had finally timed out for real. I had two Shermans, an M8, a halftrack, a squad of engies, and one more vehicle that I can't remember, in addition to everything that I had started with. I was something like 20 over my pop cap.

    The two Shermans and the M8 are an unstoppable force in this level. They take no damage from MG fire, can drive right through walls and fences, and destroy the gun towers in a few shots.

    Anyway, I'm guessing the reason for the glitch was having reached my pop cap before the timer ran down. That's my guess.

    the over-pop-cap isn't a glitch.

    but no one attacking meight be......

    i did simular to the guy above me, defended, and then cleared out left my me first, thinking i can reach the rocket pad. but i can't. so i had to go the long way round

    i got owned when trying to get the general (?), so i kept doing strafing runs on him and got him in his last fallback location.

    now it's a matter of push the 2 Shermans to the rocketpad. to do that, just send one up, do some damange, swap, repair, and swap, repair. the level is quite linnear, germans won't attack from the stairs that leads to the roof.

    when i got to the general, just used 2 Sherman + a halftruck on him, he's really tough for one man :P

    Oops, I should clarify that they were attacking, but the attacks were so small that it didn't really matter. The MG's took care of them very quickly.

    The major glitch wasn't that I went over my pop cap, but that the timer kept restarting from 10 after reinforcements came. Is that supposed to happen?

    Yes, that's supposed to happen. There's 3 seperate waves of reinforcements from Abel Company, once every 10 minutes, and you have to hold the gate for them to come.

    Also, the game will complain at you if you dont keep at least 2 squads at theg ate.

    Need help finishing this level!

    I can't seem to finish this level. I've gotten all the locations, killed the commander but when I order a unit to deploy charges, they deploy one near the V2 rocket but then nothing else. When I try to deploy another charge, they rush to what looks like a ramp near the green locator but they just get stuck there. Any help would be much appreciated...

    I assume you know that you have to press the "Detonate Me!" button, once the demolitions are laid?

    I am having the same problem as Peteyk... order troops to deploy charges and they just run up to the platform.

    I've used the charges before to blow up the o2 tanks so I know about how you have to wait for the troops to setup charges and then click on the "detonate" icon.

    However, when trying to blow up the V2 platform they do nothing. The "demolition charge" icon greys out after you order them to wire the platform but the troops just run up next to it and do nothing.

    Yeah that has happened to me too. An FAQ on GameFAQs says that there's a bug with wiring the Oxygen tanks where you have to have original squads do the job or something like that, perhaps it's the same bug?Well anyway, luckily i had one squad that could wire it although they had no veterancy so i'm not sure if it's one of the squads from the beginning of the level.

    I just got stuck on that too. Saved the game and exited to windows then loaded the level and it worked then. Not sure if it works all the time though.

    Try it using your engineers it works better than using the paras. I had the same problem until I used them.

    when i placed the charges, only one man did it, so are you sure the WHOLE sqaud was doin nothing?

    I had the same bug happen to me.
    I fixed it by quitting the game, and then reloadng the game.
    Then I was able to plant explosives (on the V1 rocket pad) and complete the mission.

    I thought there was a problem when I tried to demo the oxy tanks and launch pad but no. You have to lay multiple charges if you're not running v1.7. The oxy tanks take 3 and the pad take 4 I think. With one demo laid I kept pressing it and nothing happened. Only one member of your engineers will place all of of the demos. When they're all placed, bang bang bang (bang).

    Some AA guns on the roof have very long range, cannot use mortar to destroy them. One way to fix the problem is to move tank close to them(on ground level) then call air support.

    I've killed the enemy in the building close to the oxygen tanks and have units all over the map so I know there are no enemy units left but I still can't get the medal. Could the base commander be hiding in a building and not have his icon in view?

    Have you ever been on the roof of the main building, the huge one?
    The officer starts on the roof in a smaller building on that roof, near to the oxygen tanks. When you move up the stairs near the tanks, he runs to another similar small building on the roof, close to where the 88 is. If you scare him from there, he ends up near the ramp leading down to the rocket, where you place the charges to end the mission.

    use Sherman to blow the O2 tank lol yeah?i never seen the commander?are the commander cloaking,or maybe he was knight cross/officers?

    Usually has a big arrow above his head. If he escapes he is found further round and can be pushed back to the final battle just before the rockets (think there is an indication on the map when he is about)
