    is this game worth it?

Im wondering if this game is worth the money, because when i take a look at the forum, i read a lot about balancing problems and technical problems. Perhaps this game is a quick money maker? i dunno because i cant judge it, demo gives me a black screen and there is no intention from relic 2 fix the demo, what makes me wonder about the support. We all know what happend with generals zh atm the problems got 2 big 4 e.a. they just abandoned it.prob just a waste of money.....

    Yes, it is.

Check out some reviews, its average is 95%.

And EVERY game has issues, have you seen any other forum? Every forum is like this, and some of these things aren't even issues, IMO. Like the "5 things I don't like about CoH"... I don't really agree with any of them, or "tank spamming an issue", I don't really agree with that either!

this will never be like ZH. I also bought that game and it's a waste of money.

This game is worth it. Have you tried the tech support forum? I can run the game fine on an old AXP and GeForce 6600 fine.

Relic/THQ is far better than EA.

Dont trust what you read in the forums, contrary to popular opinion this game is really well balanced, especially for it only being a couple weeks old. This game will blow you away if you are any kinf of RTS fan at all. And deathblade is %100 correct, Relic>EA on so many different levels. If DOW is any indication, they will continue to support this game to the best of their ability well after it stops being at hot item.

Listen to the posters above me; for all the bitching some of us may do (myself included), the overwhelming majority of us (again, myself included) will readily acknowledge that this is a fantastic game, one that will only get better as more patches are released and new strategies are discovered. Oh, and EA isn't fit to lick Relic's boots.

If you are not back from the store and installing then you are wasting your time.

Also, even in this forum the vast majority of people are heaping praise on CoH.

different people expect different things out of the game. Depends on what group you fall into. Gamers love it, and it's great. WWII buffs like to nitpick over historical inaccuracies, but that's part of the fun.

It will be worth it as soon as Relic fixes the tanks spam problem.

Keep your tank spam nubing to the tank spam thread. And yes this game is worth it and more, relic should demand double price!

Depends what you want to play. I would say its not worth buying right now. Wait 6 months for fixes and try again like with DoW. Its quite good game but at same time it isnt.

    It's worth buying now.

EVERY RTS has issues when it first comes out. And MANY are more poorly balanced.

If you enjoy tactics in excess (though in far better quality than any RTS I've ever played), a World War 2 setting, or fast-paced and extremely aggressive combat then yes, Company of Heroes is worth it.

If not, I suggest you back off and wait for a later RTS. Supreme Commander is coming out around February next year.

This game is worth it provided you don't get the same problems you had in the demo.

I wouldn't buy it right now. There are way too many MP kinks to work out and the game still has a lot of balancing issues to deal with. It's a good game, but if you wait a couple months you'll get a great game for less money.

It'll be a while before this goes into the bargain bin, considering the reviews they have been getting. Good games will always go for top price.

You are free to wait for as long as you want, but many people will have gripes, patch or no patch. Hell, after 6 months many people will still complain, mainly because they want to complain. As it stands, the people who think the game has issues are /still/ playing it, it been said to have an excellent single player where balance issues aren't even a thought, and despite gripes about multiplayer balancing there's still a well thought out AI that even now, people found quite challanging.

You could wait a couple of months and pick up the game for a fraction of its value, if it ever goes down in price, or you could pick it up now. Either way, you'll have a thrilling, exciting RTS experiance, it just comes down to whether you want it now or want it later.

You need to take what people say with a grian of salt. Some people just post things to get a rise out of people, so you need to be aware of what your reading and look carefully in to what is being said. Otheres just want things there way and can care less about what others want. (they think this is burger king )

As far as the support for the game. I was in the closed beta (for Fileplanet) and the Dev's where on top of things right from the start. there where times we got a patch and got a new patch the next day because the first one caused a small problem. Most of the complaints where because people could not connect to a game. The problem was they where testing the online function (being that it was a whole new deal for them) and not the game play. If you got to play it was a bonus. Most of the game features where already worked out at that time. Atlest by the time i was able to test it.

ZOMG mate! without any offense, but what do you smoke? I mean, posts are FULL of good threads about this game, i've seen 2 or 3 questions about what to modify to make the game slightly better, but no way that this game is the best way to spent your 49€!!! Go and read all the congratulation posts about that game to the relic, and look at how many responses and answers thay have had...

    Buy it mate, buy it!!!

I'm not posting just to get people upset, those are my honest to goodness feelings about the game atm. I paid $50 for it at launch, and if someone said, "Hey, should I buy that?" I would say, "No. Wait a few months for the developers to fix the game up, and then buy it for a little less."

Will I not play the game until it's totally fixed? No. I'll keep playing, but probably not every day. I did the same thing with Battlefield 2 last summer. I bought it when it came out, played it semi-often while they worked out the kinks, then played the fool out of it once the game ran smoothly(I still like to get a few games of that in).

If you aren't too interested in multi-player, then by all means, buy it. The single player and skirmishes are great fun. The multi-player is what most people like most though, and it's kinda broken atm.

By all means i'm not try to offfend any one. But there are some post(mind you some) not all that are just repeat complaints of something that has been dragged to death. For the most part there are a lot of great suggestions and post that can do well. Form what the OP was replying to I was only giving him fact on what he is reading about. that not all post are bad. Just to read in to it a little more than what is been read. Some people are so upset that they flame the game when others argue his point and he still comes back to flame those people. I think most people here have read those post.

i also think this is a great community that will only get better as mod tools and things are givin to us. also when it finnaly gets release over sea.
