Command Line Options and other Tweaks

This is the list of known command line options.

-nomovies - this skips opening intro movies.
-dev - this enables developer options
-unlock_all_missions - exactly what it says
-nosound - disables the sound system.
-refresh xx (IE: -refresh 60) sets the game refresh rate.
-minvidmem 32 (this works around the video-memory check)***
    -novsync - disables Vsync.
    -notriplebuffer - disables tripple buffering
-perftest - use with -novsync to dump a log file of the performance test to \my documents\my games\company of heroes\logfiles
-nolitter - used with DX10 and removes the "litter" objects that busy up the world.

shadowmap_set_max_cubemaps(0) from the console will have the effect of lowering the shadows in DX10.

The maximum maximum cubemap count is four. For reasons listed elsewhere this will be slower than high shader quality.

To enable command line options, right click on the shortcut you're using to run the game, go to properties, to the shortcut tab, and look at the command line. It'll look something like this:

    "C:\program files\THQ\Company of Heroes\RelicCoH.exe"

Make it look like this (if adding the -nomovies switch):

    "C:\program files\THQ\Company of Heroes\RelicCoH.exe" -nomovies

***Remembering that this is not supported or recommended, this is for use if your system does not meet the minimum video memory requirements for CoH. Expect poor performance. If your minimum video memory is lower than 32, adjust the 32 to whatever you dedicated video memory is.

How to add command line options (A picture tutorial)

To add command line options go to your shortcut icon for CoH on your desktop, right click on it and click properties.

    You will get this windows,

add the command line option (ex: -window) after the quotes in the target box.
