let it be known that ratlover232 is one of the historical figures for this game's mod community. he has just made it so units could have powers!! think about::deal:
having radiomen calling airstrikes
having an artillery battalion as a walking hq
officers summoning soldiers
even having a multi task unit like a vehicle that makes soldiers
and so much more!
He has not yet told me how. he soon will release, i think.

Sorry i didnt post myself. Yes i do have a build able radio man squad that can call in strafing run but the doors this opens up other than that are tremendous. I know you probably think i could be bs'in you so I will post evidence tomorrow. I was helping ljed with some modding before goin 2 sleep when i got this 2 work, but had n0 time 2 post, which is y he made the post instead of me. Sorry 4 the sloppy txt and such, Im writin this on a cell phone. Ratlover232

Adding abilities to units has already been done... try reading some of the other threads.

Errr the Axis officer has this ability already? Doesn't seem like too big of a leap to adding in other "powers" to any unit in the game.
Still, you gotta love figuring out stuff like this. I remember when I figured out that all you had to do to capture the turanic carrier in Homeworld was change a single number.
I made an M10 that fired flak88 shells, does that count as a breakthrough? >_>

Pfft, I think dropping multiple squads of paratroopers with randomised drop locations in a single command is way more impressive than 'dude who can call in airstrike' :P

Looks beautyfull to see those guys land down in masses, then scatter quickly to their positions
By the way.. did you just drop a HMG squad down there too?
