I asked the question in another thread but not properly. What are your Graphic settings?
If you choose custom then explain.
EDIT: As Rambocop noted, if you want, you can post your system specs.

For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.

ultra max with full aa. only have my trees on high cause well, they're just...trees.
Everything on low and it lags in battlesPlease support me in these hard times, donate money for a peace of mind...
I spent about 2 hours messing with my settings, changing 1 thing at a time and comparing quality and performance.
This is what I've settled on:
Custom settings
Resolution: 1920x1200 (widescreen)
Shader Quality: High
Model Quality: High
Antialiasing: Enabled (set to 2xQ in drivers)
Texture Detail: High
Shadows: Medium
Reflections: High
Post Processing: Off
Building Detail: High
Physics: High
Tree Quality: High
Terrain Detail: High
Effects Fidelity: High
Deffects Density: High
Object Scarring: On
Model Detail: Maximum
I don't go by framerate but rather mouse responsiveness and smoothness. As long as I can issue orders without delay, and I can scroll across the map smoothly, I consider that good performance. With these settings its quite smooth and looks beautiful. The only setting I wish I could turn on is Post Processing since I can actually see a difference with that enabled (but only on certain bright effects like explosions and floodlights). Its too great a performance impact though.
My system:
Dell Inspiron XPS Gen 2 notebook
Pentium M 2.0GHz 533MHz FSB "Dothan"
NVIDIA GeForce Go 7800 GTX 256MB
2GB Corsair PC2-4200 533MHz FSB
Hitachi 7K100 100GB 7200RM 2.5" internal notebook HD
low in almost every single way
need a new computer
The highest you can get![]()
Mostly high, some medium settings on a 1280x1024 resolution.
AMD 3500+, 2 gigs of RAM and a X850XT.
Everything on the highest except trees (Low), textures (Medium), shadows (Low), model detail slider (half way). Resolution at 1024x768.
X2 4800+ CPU, 1GB Ballistix RAM, X800XT-PE GPU.
I've yet to tinker since upgrading the CPU from a 3000+.
Well in my case I have everything high except ground textures, and shader medium. I have a Geforce 7600. It's gives me good frame rate.
Everything maxed except texture detail which is set at High. 1024x768. Btw this thread would be a lot more meaningful if you asked for system spec as well.

I log in and change my sig once every three years.
What he said, everything is maxed out but with texture on High cos Ultra will slow the game too much, and tree detail on low. 800x600 resolution aswell.Everything maxed except texture detail which is set at High.
i have everything maxed out except AA, turned off shadows, low terrain and trees.
Mostly High with some on Medium and Ultra. 1024x768
well, all my settings are on supa low since i play mostly MP and every extra little ounce of speed helps.
Also, i have fewer drops now with all my settings on supa low....so i guessed the droppings is due to the video card...which sucks, since CoH is the only game i can't play on max settings without dropping.
pentium 4 clocked at 3.68 ghz
2 GIGs of corsair DDR2 xms2 5400 twin x ram
geforce xfx 6800GT ultra 246mb
everything maxed out including ultra settings , other than terain detail set to medium, running at 1280x1024 res.
on a 40 inch samsung LCD HD tv
Everything MAXED.
Performance is great except when I am playing online and either another player is causing issues.
Still Trying to find good settings
Evga 7800gt 256mb
Intel P4 3.2GHz
1g ram
I have shadows off (its a real fps eater) and trees on med.
All the rest is high.
P 3.0 Ghz, 2 GB RAM, X850XT PE.
getting around 40-60 fps (with shadows on med its like 20-25 fps).
Mh.. I'm gonna turn off the shadows and see if I can turn the other stuff higher instead.
Everything maxed out here.
is it good that Im running with a 6800GT 256ddr AGP, on a 2500+ Barton, and at 333Mhz with 1gig of okay ram. I run it mid to high, with some AA, dont know specifics. But whuile it may slow when scrolling overall its great.
"Try mine, i have a 7600gt and 1 gig."
Can you please tell me your average Fps so that i can compare ?
I have everything maxed out as far as it will go.
AMD X2 4200+(939 socket)
Creative X-Fi Extreme Music
Asus A8N-Sli Premium
Sapphire ATi X1800XT(512MB)
I'm not sure what framerates I get with my new Asus board installed but when i was using a Foxconn CK804K8MA-KS I was getting 27 FPS on average.
black_ranger: haven't checked fps yet, but everything is smooth no matter what happens on screen, unless i tilt the camera to view the whole map. By smooth i mean silky smooth, not just "ok".

That's on Auto settings 800x600 which are lower then yours.18fps with almost nothing on screen is not smooth![]()
No poll option for max settings?
I have max everything, no AA/AF, 1600x1200 res.
PC is a 4400+ X2 at 2600mhz, 2GB ram, X1800XT 512mb, 74GB raptor, X-Fi sound card, Asus Nforce 4.
Can you guys please tell me your Fps ? Don't care if it "feels" smooth![]()
I run all settings pretty high. My system is:
Athlon 64 3700+ @2.64 ghz
eVGA Geforce 6800 GS @ 475/1.17
2gb RAM running @ DDR377
It runs pretty well in 1v1 and 2v2 games (all that I play really). It can get a bit slow in big battles of 3v3 or 4v4, but that's normal.
I got all low cos I'm running it on my laptop~Will play it again when I get myself a new rig... Anyone wanna speed up that process?

All settings at Low @ 1024x768
But then again I use a laptop;
Centrino Mobile 1.6 Ghz
1 GB DDR-3200
ATI M-11 (9800 Mobile)
In any case, it runs at a good 30 FPS so I can go with some medium settings. But I prefer the solid performance and the visuals are still good enough.
I'll play it again when I buy a new laptop in the future...
I can wait...
The Dark one has Arrived.
Low, everything except unit detail which is meduim and textures at medium. Game still doesn't look too bad.
1024 by 768.
If you've noticed their accuracy (scoutcars), it's almost as if the gunner has a death wish or has made a bet with Klaus over who can shoot more bullets into the ground than the enemy.
Automatic - Textures high and everything other at around medium.
