My son and I each have a PC and we bought two versions of DC. I installed on mine with no problems. I installed his and got the CD Authentication error. I went to the forum and tried the regedit and it did not work.
I went to Add/remove games in control panel and the game would not show up in the list. I went directly to the folder and deleted DC.
I tried to reinstall and now the disk will not run. Nothing happens. What the heck is up with his version of DC. Nothing seems to be working.
I looked and it said to reformat the HD and reinstall. Is that person out of his mind? My son's PC has over 20 games installed. We have lost documentation and install keys since we moved into our new house. I am not going to spend the next week attempting to re-install all our software!
Is there another way to get this CD to work? I have seen this issue with other games and they have had to patch it. So someone in THQ/Relic patch this please!
Sadly disappointed with the quality of DC.
