[DC 1.51]kroot can't cannibalize on hyperion?

What's the trick to getting the kroot to cannibalize while on the Hyperion map? I've seen the cannibalize icon light up during certain times (I think), but most of the time it's grayed-out.

Is this the first time you're using kroot? They don't eat bodies, but the little organs that come out (also known as gibs). After they decay, the button will grey out.

Actually, they will run to the nearest 'gib' on the map if no bodies are nearby, even if it means running them away from their immediate position. (At least, this is the behavior I've seen.) Also, if you're having problems with Kroot cannibalizing due to constant interruption by insignificant skirmishes nearby, you'll have better success if you set them to "cease fire" stance (F4) before hitting the Cannibalize ability (C); this will ensure that they will not engage in combat before finishing their feeding frenzy.

I have never seen them eat anything but gibs. When fighting Necrons I had to wait till one of my units died and left gibs to get them to canabalize, the icon was greyed out until then.

The only 3 times that cannibalize should be grayed are:
1. No bodies around
2. All the bodys around you have already been canibalized
3. You have more than just kroot squads selected. For some reason it grays it out if you have another unit type selected along with them.

on #3. That's good to know. I've had that happen several times now and was wondering why they couldn't canabalize.

They don't eat bodies thye just eat the guts that come out of them, I know that for a fact.
