worst bug I have seen so far

I don't know if this is already known or not, but I was just playing a game where I had 3 squads of rifle man moving up against a stug ... it parked up and I started throwing sticky bombs etc

I notice just near to the stug an mg squad begins capping the point so I tell my rifle squads to run past the stug to kill the mg squad whilst the sticky is on cooldown... without the stug moving, remaining stationary 2/3 of my squads run into the side of the stug and 1 by 1 die, by the time I realise whats going on and hit retreat I have 2-3 of the last squad running back, the rest all died :/ - the stug didn't move / turn or shoot them they just touched the side and died

Yeah...infantry seems to be crushed too easily by tanks. I once lost all but 2 men out of two ranger squads because they were hugging a pivoting tiger tank. You'd think any soldier who's passed basic training could avoid getting flattened by a slow turning tank such as a tiger.

    EDIT: I don't think it's a bug.

i think it is a kinda/sorta bug, normally infantry dodge when tanks come at them, but when tanks turn in place, the infantry doesnt appear to recognize that the tank is moving, so they dont attempt to dodge.

the problem is that most tanks shouldn't be able to rotate like that in the first place. wwII tanks just didn't have that capablity. it was so demanding on mechanics that even tanks with neutral steering like the panther and tiger cannot do it without damaging engine/tracks/transmission unless under perfect conditions. what tigers and pathers did was drive-turn a little, pivot a little and repeat

Indeed correct. One of the only tanks that could spin on its own axis without damaging itself was the brilliantly designed British Churchill tank.

that is not true, T34, Tigers, panthers(i think) with 2 set of clutch can turn on its own axis, the sherman however cannot. the pzw4 could too.

I think this is a bug, first off the tank did NOT turn at all ... it was shooting an obs post, my men simply failed to run around it, and piled into the side without attempting to go around, and died as they did ... whether that bug is a result of poor pathfinding over a tanks squashing ability I suppose is questionable but either way losing two full squads in such a way isn't good

Poor pathfinding + rushing to pass enemy tank = suicidal lemmings infantry...

I met this once, when 1 rifleman squad and 1 engineer squad rushed up, hit my stug, and died one by one. I didn't move the stug and it was fighting some Allied armor at the moment. I chatted with the player briefly, and he said he met that once before. Remember how hard if you want to crush some infantry with your armor, i think this is a bug. Hitting a still tank with your head doesn't deserve death

shermans / callopies OWN storm troopers and grenadiers easily by running over them with their quick speed. The stug is a slow tank and rifles and allied infantry deserved to get crushed. I wish pumas and m8/halftracks could run over people, maybe even jeeps / hogs.

wow this happened to me last night, seriously, you guys NEED to fix this. How could this NOT be a bug ?

I send a squad north, if me and the other player are both not watching that spot or actively doign anything. My troops will run directly into a tank that is not moving and die right away by contact ?

    Relic please fix this.

I had a stormtrooper squad run into the rear of a Sherman and die.

This is part of the greater pathfinding issue, let's hope it gets fixed sometime soon.

some people just don't understand that infs are NOT supposed to die running into a STATIONARY tank.

I once had something like this happen. There was a Stug parked right next to the exit door of a building, not moving at all. When I told my squad which was in the building to exit (planning to sticky bomb the Stug since you can't do that from within the building - which is a whole other problem), the whole squad immediately died and the tank wasn't moving the whole time this happened.

pathing AI is shocking in this game at times. With everything else you need to concentrate on, you shouldnt have to waypoint your units everywhere for fear their pathing AI will screw you.
