    [1.2 Balance] Map starting locations

    I apologize if this has come up already (I did a cursory check of the first 3 pages and didn't see it).

    Anyways, one glaring, and perhaps easily fixable balance issue is that map starting locations are not randomized on ladder.

    Most 1v1 games are won and lost in the early part of the game where map control is pivotal. Thankfully, CoH maps are wonderfully creative and non-symmetrical; however, this leads to certain maps offering either axis or allies an advantage, which usually manifests itself in a strategic building placement or being able to cut off the enemy from certain resources (perhaps through early game barbwire, etc.).

    Even if one can't pinpoint a specific advantage/disadvantage on a map, because they are asymmetrical, it makes little sense to have the starting points not randomized. As much as I enjoy the comfort of starting in the same spot every time and using the same early build order/cap order, I think it would lend itself nicely towards vareity of starting points were not the same every time.

    Thoughts?

    If this has been discussed/adressed before, lock plz.

    I think this has been noticed before. Though I don't think it has gotten as much attention as it should. Certain maps would play out ALOT different if the positions where reversed.


    Only problem on ranked auto ladder of course.

    Yup. If only the could...

    - random starting positions on auto -they will do this.
    - nerf axis bunker spam...

    Stutzdorf needs some rebalancing. Axis has no easy high munitions point by them, Allies have an easy high munitions and an easy medium munitions/fuel sectors.
