    Wow. *glows* A request for me. I'm so happy!

    Edit: Oh, crud. Well, I just noticed that you said "Hiigaran" Interceptor, which means both ships are from HW2. I can't do HW2 yet...for some reason, my .big extractor has a runtime error when I mess with the files inside the Interceptor section and I can't find a .peo file load into Deep Exploration. So, in summation, I can only do HW and Cata ships right now. Hey Ace or Enterprise, you have a request.

    Shoot. Oh well...I'll get a HW1 Hiigaran inty for you if you like. It'll give me a new ship to do.

    Hey Ace, if you can't find a .peo file, what do you do?

    If you can't find PaperStarships, it's in Enterprise's sig, everywhere earlier in this thread.

    Edit 2: Okay - how big should the Naggarok be? I have it about the length of the Kadeshi multibeam frigate. I wish I could make it the size of the Taiidan ion frig, but I think the texture will fall apart into deathly pixelation at that size. Should I go bigger than what I have? Forget about making it to scale, or probably even close to scale.

    Well. i alredy sayed. I unpacked all HW1 ship files (race folders, and derelicts), then i use totaly advanced windows seeker. Else, if you have folder with tons of testures, just select .peo/.geo from list in DeepExportation import menu.

    Go Ace! Congrats! Wow, that was about as hyper as my Naggarok model post. He he he...I was really proud of that model, as you said the model would be impossible to fold as it had too many fold lines.

    No, I mean in Homeworld 2 .big files. They don't have .peo files. I don't think so, anyway.

    Hey Miguel, Super Acolyte is already on PaperStarships. Use card paper if you have it (like the thicker, playing-card style paper). I use regular computer paper, though. I use rubber cement; you can detach it if necessary without ruining the paper.

    Hm...I'll try to unfold the Kushan Inty next and then maybe I can see how hard the Beast MS is, for some inscrutable reason. Wee I'm so happy I can unfold!

    It's good that you've started making models:-) Now we are a trinity.
    I hope Gearz keeps on modeling as well, he has planned Taiidan and Kushan destroyers to make...

    HW2: It uses *.HOD files instead of .PEO
    You need Relic Archive Exctractor to open the Homeworld2.big, and then HODviewer to convert the HOD files to *.OBJ which can be loaded in 3D Exp.
    The problem is, that you must convert all textures by hand, and apply some resize/tansform to them. For a paper model you must retexture the whole damn 3d model, and simplifiy it a bit.

    You don't need full version, i havent it either, im extracted some ships from the HW2 Demo.

    well i got full version and i grabt some out of hw2.big
    problem is because of high poly count, there are many folding lines.
    This simply makes a model impossible.
    + i dont have textures yet that wil come.

    Booyah, my Naggarok model works! I'll send it in today to PaperStarships. Okay, Ace has the ACV/Acolyte covered. Yeah, now I'm actually part of a Homeworld group! The Trinity of Paper Modelers! Well, Gearz makes it a foursome or whatever. We oculd be the Paper Quad Squad or whatever.

    Okay, the squad thing was a joke. I'm hyper off chocolate chip muffins. Plus, I'm in English class, hooked up to wireless internet...it's fun. Now that we have 4 peeps, we can get lots of progress on our goal - unfolding all HW ships! Cata, too?

    Well i got the .dds fileformat plugin so i can convert to something 3d Exp can read.
    But then textures are all $%&&(*up.
    So anybody else got succes with hw2 model ?

    can somebody help?, I've extracted the vaygr bc and it seems that the front of the of the bc (meaing the nose part) does'nt have any textures at all. Fyi, i'm using deep exploration s/w. Got the Higgy bc but in mest there's too many lines and when i ported it to pepakura , whoa too many lines to cut and it comes out in small pieces. Suggetions pls. thanks!

    INSTRUCTIONS:

    Use hodviver to extract all junk.
    Now, use word or other to change all "," into "." in *.hod0.* file (hod viver have error), then open changed file in DE and here we go we got undetextured file. Now we need to MANUALY cange textures in options, so we got textured model, that we can see and then delate becouse papekula will not handle it.

    when your DE expires, you will find old 3dexporation, and we will got +30 days. Then i reinstal my windows (i need to do this whatever way), and instal programs again (+60 days).

    ARGH! I've been trying for about 2 hours to unfold the Beast Mothership and I've gotten NOWHERE. Papekura breaks it up into too many little pieces. Someone could put it together with a few hours on hand, but I know no one wants to spend that much time, so I tried to make it easier. It didn't work - Papekura marks lots of the lines as red, and I can't change those to non-cuttable lines. Oy! The only ship I feel like doing right now, I can't make . Hm........................someone give me a ship name. Now. I must fold something....

    He he he...I've finished the Taiidan Mothership and I really don't think instructions are required. I'll send it to Enterprise, who will probably demand that they're included even though the entire ship is in one piece...

    Hmmmm there is problem.... Im SURE that HW2 includes lower LOD files as i really dont think that all models are so detailed - else game will never start.
    If lower Lods exist problem is that Stupid Hod Viwer dont extract them, so we cant use them.
    Remove details.... sure..... if you got any 3d modling program, you can apply sharpe operation so model will lost some details.. but it also will lost textures (im nost of programs, not in all).

    Ok Other. If you want HW2 models find program that will unpac HW2 model files (NOT HOD VIWER) and save them correctly (hod viwer lost textures positions in 9 by 10 modles i upnpacked so textures not show). Other thing is that is saves files to .ddc (or like this), why not bmp? So hard for author? That program is simple awfull.

    dds directX used by HW2.
    its easy to do in your extracted folder there should be a .mtl file in there change all .bmp to .dds.
    I got textures in Deep Exp now.
    Still leve of detail is to high but this is LOD0 (best) we should have LOD3/4 for our work i think.

    nah chagning in mlt file dont do anything. I need to load textures manualy. Other problem is that textures are on WRONG positions - ie in Vyrg carrier we got bridge texture on engines and viceversa. Chagning this dont help - textures are rotated/moved then.

    Okey. HOW TO TEXTURE HW2 models extracted with HodViwer:

    Up texture, and then change U or V scale to -1 (so texture will mirror), and vuala we got this

    or we not, if we open wrong file

    Hey Ace! I have an idea! I'm going to save every ship that hasn't been modeled yet as a .cob file using my Deep Exploration - before it expires. So after it does, I'll have all the .cob files I'll need!

    okey Nerath. Use winbig to unpact all races files, and then save them to same folders (we get folders with ships ready to unfold), will be nice if you do this due i got registrated Papekula but i dont have DE (awfull situation :/ )

    noooo there is no day limit, but freeware papekula dont allow Hi-Res models (bwt, someone know how to save unfold intro mutlitple files WITHOUT other programs (for example i save model intro huuuuge file and then i cut file in migi (photo chagning program)).
    Nerath - when you done some ships send them to me I will host page for them.
    Nerath2 - you got Cataclysm or only Homewolrd ?
    Nerath3 - can you send me .cob and all bmp's for Taidian CS? I like to made it becouse im making Taidian fleet in one size (got 1 carrier, 1 HC, 1 Dest, 1 missile dest, 2 DFGs, 2 Assaluts, 1 colony ship and 5 cargos for it, researh station (i hope its in correct size, i rezize it 2 times from orginal one) and 2 Vyrg Carriers Huge fleet. I also got bentusi barge and Taidian Ion cannon fregate (but not in scale). Okey. Thats all thanks for attention

    Well i got textures now, but Metaseq wont get the textures, and you can open the obj file with perk but no textures
