How to prevent history/cookies being deleted from IE

Hi, I need to know how you can stop the History of stored websites, and the cookies, from being deleted.

My brother keeps deleting these manually (almost daily, except when he's not here) and it is really pissing me off.

Is there any way that you can prevent this? and if not, which other browser could you use?

    Tanks in advance.

Stop using IE and start using Mozilla Firefox.
there is no way to prevent your brother from deleting cookies, but you can make a backup everytime you are done with the computer ( copy paste them to some other map ) and put them back in the right folder when you want to use the computer again..

Thanks. I think that copying and pasting would take too much work.

And If I get firefox, will IE still be usable and is firefox much different to use?

IE will still be useable and firefox is easier in use than IE is imo.

But I think most ppl will agree with me on that.

Methinks your brother has a good reason to not want people to know what websites hes looking at...

Anyway, you cant stop him from deleting things - even if you switch to firefox he will still be able to delete cookies and history (although if you use firefox and he uses IE it wont be a problem).

You could always set up different user profiles. This means that you will both have your own history and cookies. As long as he's not deliberately trying to sabotage you, he can delete his own history and cookies without touching yours.

Yeah that would seem to be the best solution.
