    Unstoppable Grots!?!?!

Ok. So. Here I am, playing as 'crons in SP. I'm taking out the Orky stronghold, and it's all pretty much as normal. Green tide rushes in, and "BOOM"! They die on the living metal reef of death! 'Cept for this one little squad of grots! Musta been a bug, but these little guys, well, the main squad member, at least, WOULD NOT DIE!! Look at these screenies! Poor little buggers. Anyhow. Has anyone else seen this bug? The grots had a greenish aura around them, and, before anyone says it, no, I had not put any kind of stasis field or what have you on them. Even if I had, it would have eventually worn off. These grots never died. I threw my entire over capped army at them for a good 15 min, just for kicks, and they never died. I 'ventually got bored and let them run off. Dem little guys need a Grot medal of Orkiness Waaagh Honor er somethin'!
Anyone got any ideas what's up with this?

This exact same scenario happened to me, in that exact position in the map. Did pariahs hit them by any chance? (I think so due to the green effect around them). When i checked they had -400 HP and refused to die, their -HP remained static and they just sat there the entire time reinforcing and being slaughtered by the obelisk/gauss turrets. It's definitely a bug caused by the Pariahs warscythe effect.

Ahhh. I'll have to study up on this effect. I don't think I've heard of it before. Anyway, yes, I meleed them and shot them and frightened them and had my Pariahs say nasty things to them, all to no avail. I actually kinda had fun with it for a bit. Kinda like a quick game of "Kick the Grots". That just has to be an Orky game!

Judging from his testimony over this, I doubt it is fighting juice. The grots were attacked for a full 15 mins, and there was no mention of any ork or dok nearby...it definitely has to be a bug.

I think that there was actually a similar bug in Age of Mythology, but it was editor only.

If you set the amount of projectiles a ranged unit fired to -1, it actually fired I believe around 26000. If the target unit was very low on health and it got hit by so many projectiles, it's health went to 0/0 and became invincible.

Perhaps if you overkill a unit to like -300 health while it is warsythed, it doesn't die. Next time, try deleting the pariahs and checking what happens.

Actually I saw something similar in a FFA, a monolith shot at a lone broken slugga boy and didn't do any damage for about 50 seconds[it was my slugga and I know I didn't juice it]. Once I had it attack something because hell, we know it'll take 8 years for the slugga to kill the thing and then the monolith started doing some damage and killed it. Kinda strange these things. Haven't seen this in SP because as the Ig necrons killed the orks before I even got to fight em. Oh well, already had 15000 chaos kills on my belt so I'm fine
The Force Commander and I even visit the same barber, although I have a slightly better taste. Hair gel on calderas, how'd he swing that?

It's a bug in the Pariah's ability to drop maximum health. The clincher here is his description of the greenish aura around the Grotz.

When a unit has negative health, which is occasionally possible when attacked by Pariahs, it is no longer possible to bring its health to 0, which is the only way it can die.
I may make you feel, but I can't make you think.
