CoH Forum Guidelines & IRC Chat & Teamspeak
Welcome to the Company of Heroes forum. This is a privately run fansite forum. The staff that moderate this section are very excited about this game and are interested in World War II as a whole. Feel free to check out the FAQ. It is fairly limited at this point, but as more information becomes available it will be updated. This board as with all of our other forums dedicated to Relic Entertainment do have rules though and we do want them to be followed. So without further ado:
1. If a moderator and/or administrator tell you to do something… do it. You can tell if someone is a member of the staff on the far top right side of their post. Moderator will be listed in green text on black background, administrator will be listed in yellow text on black background. If you have a problem with a staff member, use the Forum Issues board located here. If you believe that to get your point across you must treat the staff with hostility, this forum is not for you.
2. Respect employees of Relic Entertainment and THQ Inc. Employees will be recognized by both their title which appears under their name when posting and an avatar, which appears underneath their title. They are extremely busy and do not have time to respond to every question and/or thread. However they do read this forum and as such will be treated with respect. If you need clarification how to do that, this forum is not for you.
3. No warez. That is too say do not ask about, discuss, and/or where to find cd keys, cd serial numbers, nocd hacks, and file sharing websites.
4. No hate speech, flaming, and trolling. This forum seeks to encourage decent discussion and protects those who follow the rules. To that end we will not allow the members of this forum to be flamed and their threads trolled. In terms of hate speech, we take a hard ‘zero tolerance’ line in the sand. Attacking someone on the basis of their ethnicity, gender, religion, and/or sexuality (or purposefully identifying yourself with those who do) will get you banned immediately. This includes, but is not limited to, referring to the staff as Nazis. If you feel that having your threads deleted, edited, locked, and/or being told what to do by the staff is on the same level as killing 12 million people, then we recommend taking a history class and not spending time on the forum.
5. Freedom of Speech. You have none. You come here and register of your own free will thus agreeing to the rules put forth by the staff of this forum. If you are one of those who feel the need to ‘fight’ against authority and believe that you can say anything, this forum is probably not for you.
6. While the military history of Germany has produced fine examples of warriors and commanders as well as impressive technology, Nazism is not cool. Anyone who identifies themselves as a Nazi (by admission, expression of ideology, or even admiration) runs the risk of getting banned. We are very firm on this point
7. There are more rules located here and they are to be followed as well. You will notice that there is some crossover, but we like to be thorough.
This forum is not for everyone. We are very strict and expect you to adhere to a lot of rules that most forums on the internet care to ignore. That being said if you chose to stay and post in a respectable manner then we welcome you and hope you definitely have a good time here.
