I sure hope those cables/hoses aren't vital to the suit's operation, because you don't want nobody going for them down there! :P

No, it's really nice, but I've got two issues with it: that face looks so much like a toy I used to have, it;s not even funny, and two; make him taller or make his arms shorter. - like so:

    DAMN YOU!!!

I just finished my colored version, and I came back here, and you'd already beat me to it!

Oh well.. here's mine, albeit smaller.

Thanks! But let's not forget who's the creative genius here - I'm just a monkey that does paint by numbers. Here's a link to a version that's the original/modified size (270k):

I really don't like it. The head is hideous, and it has no sense of...

    hmm...

The shapes don't give it a "feel". It's well drawn, but it has none of the stylistic influence that usually result in a subconscious interpretation.

It lacks big shoulders, elongated limbs, spines, spikes, plates or anything else to give flavor or hint at it's role.

It's well drawn and all, but it has no feeling of menace, power or strength.

The only gripe I have with it is that it looks NOTHING like the Power Armor in the Fallout games, which kicks major ass:P I'm going to see what I can about aquiring a model of it and a few other things... Hopefully I'll be able to, somehow...

Other than that, the picy is a ton better than I'd be able to draw.

Looks great, will there be a sequal picture to this? It looks as if the guy is about to take out some sort of pistolf rom its legs like robocop.

    Nice high heels too

    Really good, but...

...the heels DO need a bit of work, also, I too would like to see some sort of nasty lookin' weaponry...

Vaarok it seems that all you do is give negative feedback. Spines, spikes, plates and the like are inefficient, and it looks to me as if this thing is designed (correct me if I'm wrong Ingus) to be slick and quick and fast, not big and nasty like a mech. The head is rather cool in that it's different and goes along with the body so well.

The heels I can agree with, look kinda oddish. That and the legs seem a tad featureless, perhaps you can add some sort of protrusion to break the pattern?

    but over all

    I agree with bj.
Very, very nice however, I like it a lot
On the last picture, the lower legs look like ski boots (Not in a bad way, just a resemblance)...

    On the last picture
Please don't judge his pic by my colored versions - they might be covering up or disguising some feature that I lost in the process...

Ignus, You sir, continue to astound me.

Great design. The "plain" look that others have commented on speaks to me of a functional model, something refined and mass-produced. All those flares and spikes and horns and other flourishes might appeal to some people, but I'd rather spend the cash on more armor, better sensors, and bigger guns (and military designers, in general, seem to agree with me). I can easily envision a horde of these things standing in formation, fully armed with very large guns, getting ready to board the invasion ships.

    But they're Japanese . . .

There's something about being Japanese that gives one a natural talent for doing incredibly mechanical design, something no one else in the world can match (only imitate). That's why mecha anime are so damned cool!

So what series is this taken from? I don't seem to recognise is although the art REALLY appeals to me.

It's called Gasaraki, and it involves political intrigue, mysticism, and , of course, giant robots.

It's availabe on DVD, but since te popularity of Anime is pretty underground, your best et of aquiring any DVD would be to order them.
