I was playing a skirmish other day, there was a lull in the battle so things were kinda quiet. Happened to overhear a rifleman squad idle chatting while scrolling across them.

I've played since release, never heard that. It floored me lmao.
My favourite was once where my Greyhound armoured car was attacked by a Puma:

The greatest lines are when the airborne are being ripped to shreds by flack or mgs or a ton of infantry and theres one man left. He gets all hysterical going "THEYRE ALL DEAD THEYRE ALL DEAD!!!!111one111!" or "IM THE ONLY ONE LEFT!!111! IM THE ONLY ONE LEFT!!111!" and then he gets killed most likely with a gurgle sound... ='[

not really a line from any of the units. but whenever you lose an entire squad of infantry, sometimes a voice out of nowhere says "we've lost a unit......they're all dead." it usually makes me laugh because of the ridiculous situation i just put that infantry in.

Where do you guys hear all this dialogue? I hear all the normal command-order dialogue but most of the funny stuff I can't hear it. Do they just say it randomly or under specific situations?

edit: some dialogs as "just give me a rifle, one round and point me at berlin" reminds me of Saving private ryan. Jackson (the Sniper) says something familiar during the movie.
And "we are airborne, we are supposed to be surrounded" is familiar with Band of brothers, when Dick says "we are paratrooper, we are ment to be surrounded.

I told my Volks to attack-move, which I usually don't (Because if you do that, they stay at range instead of getting close) and the Volks leader gave some little speech, I don't remember it well because the battle was close and I was busy elsewhere, but it was something like,
"Its ok Volksgrenadiers, every man has fear. We must attack! Attaaaack!!"
I just noticed that when you zoom real close in on units you hear them talking with each other, entirely new dialogues not just the unit ack's. 88' crewman was saying - I don't remember exactly what, the meaning was along the lines of 'I'll get lots of medals, you guys just watch' and something about SS.
(This was before the patch incidentally, I just thought to mention it now)

I was testing the cinematic mode last night, played a skirmish game against the computer and was watching that replay... I got a disproportionate amount of "Ich immer tu was ich sage" - in different voices, hushed and out loud (I have german speech installed). Was surreal. But funny!
I mean, it was like, *zoom on idle unit* "Ich immer tu was..." *cut to different unit* "...immer tu was ich..." *cut to third camouflaged unit* "[quietly] ...was ich sage"

Not really amusing, but the sound of "Heavy cav, ready and waiting" always fills my heart with joyOr "Pride of the fatherland" coming from Panthers if I'm not mistaking.
Oh what does amuse me is the axis sniper saying "Let's have a looksie" (or something similar
I like the double meaning of 'Pride of the fatherland' - since pride is also the name of groups of (big) cats (at least lions, but since the german heavy boys are Panthers and Tigers...).
I also like it when you upgrade German units to Elite, and you get the Speech: "From a great full farther land in our glorious struggle, honor and blood, I present you this iron cross"! Love it.
My fav. is probably, 'We now survey the batttlefield with the eye of the reichs eagle', when you do the LOS thing in Defensive. The accent is just perfect. This game has the best sound ever.
Is it possible to mix the German version voices and the English version voices?
I loved it when my riflemen were moving through a farm and found a dead cow. One of the dudes starts yelling out "BESSIE?? BESSIE IS THAT YOU GIRL!?!?"
I had a pinned down Axis Officer and ordered him to move, he shouted back "FUCK YOU!". I haven't been able to replicate that dialogue since then.
I often hear "Stop pushing" when I zoom in on a weapon crew.

I think there's one where an allied pershing (maybe a tiger) goes "Ready to field the big guns?"
There are so many great lines, nice job relic.
