German Desert Uniforms

Hi, I'm Dragon93, i do loads of skinning for Star Wars Battlefront 2, but know I've decided to have a go at skinning for Company of Heroes.
The first skins I've made, make the Axis look like they are fighting in the desert (might be useful when people start making maps).

I still need to do some more skins, like the sniper and officer and pioneer, and also fix the hands, ill post more pics when ive done more.

Keep in mind it'd probably require a total conversion as Afrika would feature whole different & new maps, adjusted buildings, adjusted company & doctrine abilities, adjusted skins for almost every unit... (And some units would need to be taken out.)

It's a great idea though to get some skins.

Also,
They used different types of colors depending on the time, at the very start they wore a more light greenish outfit, it became darker and eventually they got the well known yellow outfit.




Both are pretty much early Afrika campaign uniforms, you'll also notice they are better quality, more time put into them, etc.

Later on as the war progressed they got cheaper, etc.
(They needed to cut down on spendings as they were starting to lose the war)

Thanks for the pics, there very good, could you maybe find me some pictures like those but of japanese troops, i tried looking but they werent good enough.

hmmm... they dont really look like desert to me.. more like
snow white uniforms in evening sunlight... especially, because you bleached out the
whole texture. Try to manipulate special parts of it. The clothes have to be tinted sand colour, neither the boots nor the gear nor the markings.It makes not much sense
if you do it like this

Hint: If you use the alpha channel to cut out several things, the Grenadiers dont wear that muffler anymore, for example.
