Are you connectible ? Do you get the Green light? A lot of people are
unconnectible and there have been some complaints. I thought this might help.

Open your client and start leeching or seeding, Get any green light ?
If yes you are connectible. even if you only get 1 your good to go.
Go to torrents and click on active torrents, find your user name under
connectible is it yes or a red No.

Have you forward your ports in your router and opened them in your firewall?
I recommend you turn off the built in XP firewall.
use a third party firewall like Norton, Sygate, Zone Alarm.
But I here Z.A. 5 is not good for bit torrent. Do NOT use 2 firewall at the Same Time,
They can cause conflicts. i.e. windows XP and Nortons together.

Configure your client to use forwarded or opened ports. Azureus and BitComet,
only need one port forwarded for ALL torrents, while BitTornado and ABC
need one port forwarded for EACH torrent connected. The size of the range you choose
should be less than 10 ports.
Do NOT open all ports; but use ports somewhere in the range 49152 - 65535
as they are unlikely to be capped by your isp.

Routers
To find your IP in a router
Go to START > Run > type Command or cmd
Then at the prompt type in * ipconfig * hit enter

Look for the one that has 192.168.1.xxx
the xxx will have numbers THAT IP is the one you want to forward your ports to.
see port forward for info on how to open those ports in your router.

Just to be sure DOUBLE check your XP firewall,
Sometimes upgrades or service patches TURNS it BACK ON.

Some times if your running from a school or work no matter what you do you cannot be connectible.
