And really, if the power sword classes as nothing more than 'sword', why would you expect the chainsword to be elevated to special status? The power sword is rarer and more powerful than the chain sword, not less.

I did not mean to imply that GW would turn the Power Sword into "sword," I meant to say that the Chainsword is really the only indicator for SM that it is an "ordinary" CC weapon. Ok?

I have to go with the Inquisitor thing, actually. Having special rules for each and every weapon only works on the small-scale.

But they're completely diferent weapons..
Well, ok, they're not. But they're powerful. A chainsword being better than a knife would be more Inquisitor-ish.

Ok, for the LAST TIME, the only thing I was saying is that aside from Knives (and really, who uses those ) the Chainsword is the only SM Close Combat weapon that clearly shows that it is NOT in fact a power weapon, ok. It's the ONLY SM CC weapon that is as WYSIWYG as can be. My statement that a power sword "could" be a normal sword was to say that the chainsword is the only weapon for Space Marines that says "TAKE ARMOR SAVE." OK? Good.
