Eidolen and Warp scream

So in the third book of Horus Heresy, Lord commander Eidolen of Emperor's Children was leading his fellow marines against the rebels of Isttavan, when a enemy psyker (i assume thats what it is) attack and was killing the Emperor's Children and Death Guards, Eidolen Heroicly (perhaps just for show off) charged the psyker. During the duel, he emitted a piercing scream that disrupt the emeny abilty and won the battle. After the battle Tarviz (who witness the duel) found out it is an Geneseed enhencement by Fabius Bile.

This is really similiar to the warp scream, which are use by all the Emperors Children today. As far as i know they are the only Slaanesh followers to use this ability. (Mutants and other traitor dont seems to have it)
So is warp scream a result of Fabius's experiment rather than a chaos gift?

Plot Revelations

It is later revealed to Tarvitz within Galaxy in Flames that Eidolon and Fabius Bile have been covertly developing and conducting a massive and extensive genetic/biological modification and enhancement program for quite some time. The plan is to select the best and the brightest of the Emperor's Children and modify their physiques and their forms with novel enhancements developed and bred by Bile and his servants. These modifications range from enhanced strength and agility to an organ that generates a piercing sonic scream (Eidolon reveals that this ability is indeed the result of Bile's modifications and actions) and myriad other alterations/supplements, or so it is implied by the vast range of varying organs, modifications, apparatuses, etc. described in Tarvitz's rather brief assessment of the pertinent facilities. It does not appear that the Legion has been directly tainted by Slaanesh at this point or that any explicit corruption of materials has occurred; however, it is possible that the designs and developments of Bile where influenced, inspired, or even generated directly, or more probably, indirectly by the Fell Powers. Indeed, if memory serves Fulgrim actually catalysed the project to begin with, so it may well be that the psyche of Fulgrim (which most probably has been afflicted by the Fell Powers even at this stage) and it may well have been that this spurred him to enact such a project to further perfect the Legion, or loosened his moral perceptions to the extent that he was willing to do so.

In regards to the changes made to the EC in the last HH novel....

False Gods

It's interesting that originally, Fulgrim trumpetted his legion's victory over the Laern as proof of humanity's superiority to all xenos, no matter how advanced and powerful they were. Yet, by the time of False Gods, he's been inspired to further alter human 'perfection' by that encounter with the Laern.

Either this is a case of showing how chaos warped his mind has come, to the point that he's making decisions completely contrary to his previous mindset or it's showing up the innate hypocrisy in the idea of championing "human perfection" with biologically enhanced, artifial soldiers.

the duration of Bile's geneseed-experiments

Fulgrim may have catalysed the geneseed-enhancement program carried out by Fabius Bile, but Galaxy in Flames implies that this project has been going on for quite some time. I don't think that we can attribute Fulgrims decision to chaos influence just yet.

At that time, the Imperium focused on scientific development, so a biological research is not that bad i suppose.
