IG Missing Upgrades?

In the IG armory, there are two blanks, well, three if you count the one after the Ogryn upgrade, but I doubt that was used for anything.

My question is, what were they for?

I mean, just as we had a space for HWT, which was filled in, what were these, and will they ever be implemented into the game?

I think that's just spacing for visual niceness. Look at the way the upgrades in the Chaos Armory are lined up. There are gaps there but only because new upgrades were added in WA 1.5. The Tactica Control likewise has gaps simply to make it easier to visually scroll through the upgrades available.

Back in the earlier days of WA, the IG did have a few extra upgrades (General's Plasma gun, Sergeant's Plasma Pistols and Power Swords, etc). Thus, the extra slots may be from them being gone... or they could be there to make things look more spacey or even both.

Guys, its a question that does not need the flack he is getting.

There were numerous things not implemented into the final version of the game. Spaces left may be due to this or the fact that there wasnt anything more to be added in its place.

True, that. I know there were some upgrades Relic considered adding, but never made it into the final game. If you're interested in some more upgrades for the IG, there's a few mods out there that address that, such as DoWXP. Some of the upgrades they have include adding powerfists for Commissars and plasma guns for all commanders.

IIRC, one of those spaces originally was for a research option to make IG Flamers do more morale damage.

IG GM squads, in the beta, could use flamers.
