    DoW: Balance changes for a future patch?!

    ok, this is for my favourite DoW, in order to make it more balanced - after 5 patches that didnt balance it^^.

    Eldar: BL: nerf dmg of those beasts, decrease cost.
    WS: hard cap to 3, absolutely no fire on the move (not even for excarch).
    DR: weaken the basic DR dmg, but make his upgrades cheaper and faster researched.
    WL: buff WL HP;

    ork: lower kanz energy cost from 380 (more than a FP) to 340. he is a tier 3 walker and ony as strong as a dread - so i at least want them a bit cheaper;
    BS: cost to 40/20 - 40/30 is a bit hefty;
    NL: tier 2 NL should be stronger in cc than tier 2 seargants.....
    Mega blasta dmg to heavy infantry +20%

    chaos: lower cc dmg of CSM - as ork i am forced to outshoot them, and this really is ridicilous;
    reduce CL poison effect.
    raise reinforcement time for tac CSM (same for SM)
    CSM tac cost to 200 again.
    nerf defiler AC vs all units and cc dmg vs building_light (no more hoyz hut gone in 3 sec...); make his build time 50 sec;

    SM: raise reinforcement time for tac SM
    scout Fotm penalty of 10% ( i think its 100% again)
    limit troops for DS in the orbital to 3 (kinda like in DC)
    tac starting cost back to 200;

    Maybe some balance changes could make it to DoW in the next DC patch? PLZ

    Unfourtunately I dont think they will be balancing DOW or WA at all anymore. DOW didn't even get sniffed at for all of WA, why would they now?

    because of me naturally ^^; yeah, you are right, but trying doesnt hurt. besides... these are only stat changes, nothing spectacular and /or work intensive.
    1 programmer and 20 min work would be more than enough to soften those old balance issues.

    They won't balance DoW nor WA, as these games are "older" than DC, so don't have the slightess hope my friend.

    Some of those things you mentioned have been fixed ( or tweaked ) in DC, so why don't you just go outside and buy the game? It ain't that expensive really.

    oh, i have DC. for a long time. and after going to 1500 with 4 different accounts, i finally discovered how screwed up competive gaming in DC is.

    for me, DoW offers simply a better, more balanced gaming with more options than DC. there are only 2 problems: almost no good players play it anymore and the balance problems (which i have adressed in this post);

    1 Programmer and 20 minutes work?

    Sorry but it's just not that simple. Everytime you write or modify code in a game it has to be thoroughly tested to make sure that it doesn't cause problems with other sections of the game. It's all well and good to say remove fire on the move for x unit and decrease cost of y unit but how does that affect the bigger picture?

    If all developers had to do was put a few numbers into an excel and spreadsheet and say "voila. balance" then ALL multiplayer games would be balanced on release, but the fact you have created this thread would suggest (and prove) that this is not the case...

    i only have done some basic programming myself - by no way compareable to game programmers - i know that tweaking a few stats (like x/y coordinate) doesnt screw anything.

    It's all well and good to say remove fire on the move for x unit and decrease cost of y unit but how does that affect the bigger picture?
    it does effect it - really; you may not think of WA or DC when speaking of DoW - dow uses a hard counter system, and it works fairly well. i dont know if you play DoW yourself, but there are really just some stat problems, no general balance problems like in DC or WA.
