    That would be correct! There will be quite a few model and skin updates, but I'll leave it up to you folks to find them

    Heh, I guess that's a 'no' for the fur? I've always kind of wondered how sexed-up sensual pretty-boys would look in the 40K universe. On the one hand, it'd be almost too comical to tolerate, but on the other hand, seeing one of those running at me would scare me shitless just from the sheer irony of his getup...

    Noise Marines have always struck me as being more like a cross between S&M freaks and 80's heavy metal musicians in Powered Armour, but that's just me

    Ah yeah, that makes sense. Don't know how you'd reflect that on power armor. All the noise marine models I've seen have simply just shown mutations, but nothing really decorative. I mean, the armor is already an almost pastel purple, you're already halfway there...

    Loving the mod. The limitations on Heavy Support/Elite/HQ choices really almost makes me feel like I'm playing the TT.

    One gripe though. Close Combat Space Marine Veterans.

    They get ripped through like paper dolls by damn near everything I charge them against.

    Other than that it's been amazing thus far, can't wait for the Chaos lords of the 3 Gods to arrive.

    (I'm a huge fan of Khrone that's what I want hella bad)

    yeah most CC units have this problem, upcoming patch will also test out zerkers with feral leap to allow them to close in with their victims faster and cause disruption. If this makes them more effective, i'm thinking bout giving leap to raptors, asm and CC vets too

    Eh... maybe make it a skill that only chaos/kroot units get.


    I prefer Furious Charge a la GK's in standard DoW for space marines... just doesn't fit having a bunch of CC vets and ASM's leaping around in the air,(well MAYBE for ASM... but not really.) and it would still be just as effective at closing in and disruption.


    Also, maybe make CC vets/Zerks have a better armor grade since they are hardcore-eatyourface melee units...

    And one last thing, is there a way to change the Vets voices? I cant stand them and I would rather replace them with GK voices... I always have to attach a leader of sorts to them so they will shut up.

    well they don't leap through mid-air (except raptors and asm), can't expect power armoured units to jump that far without the assistance of a jumppack. So in other words yeah zerkers have something similar to the GK. But technically the ability is still called 'feral_leap'

    oh, I keep meaning to mention that Striking Scorpion's chainswords sound gas powered. I.E. they have the same sound fx SM chainswords do. Perhaps we should nix the sound fx for SS?

    just gotta say wow on the workload you guys put in. Massive thanks with so much new stuff to see and read about almost every week *and less*

    yeah the melee troops do seem abit anemic as the buildings really are way too tough even for laser cannons ect

    maybe you could make melee troops have slightly more range on thier attacks so they don't have to be quite as close as they do before they start doing thier attack animations i think it could also help with dancers dodging your melee troops while another squad nails them with firepower

    and will MZ be doing specular textures for the rest of the eldar units... i reckon they could have thier textures spruced up even thou i know your not fans of the space elves

    i also wondered if you could add maybe a small badge and banner pack for fluffy armies and also maybe add a few of your own home grown variants based on your own personal tastes

    can't wait for the patch.

    Yes, I will finish Eldar. Can't say then, but I will. And you won't believe, I like Eldars, how they represented in TT at least. But in DoW... Well... Every time I look at Eldar models in DoW I fill myself a little bit sick. Were is the grace of poses? Were are smooth lines of vehicles?

    An actual feral leap sounds good for anything with a jump pack, just maybe reduce the leap range to keep their actual jump ability viable. The GK charge sounds fine for everyone else.

    hey medes, did you ever consider giving the eversor assassin a bit of a "Dance of Death" kick to it? i kinda made a private mod with FSOK in it and tried adding the Dance of Death ability to the SBPS file of the eversor and surprisingly it worked out beautifully! the animations were fine with it. i saw that the eversor didnt have this ability in FSOK *at least not with my version, if it really does have it* and i was wondering if you guys have considered adding this to it.

    Unbelievable job medes and MK! I can't wait to try that madman out! Also in regards to feral leap I think it would make more sense to give them the Grey Knights charge ability, if only because having huge numbers of Zerks leaping joyfully through the air might look somewhat out of place amongst the grim followers of Khorne.

    Something i noticed... While i saw the Space Marines in the Army painter, the Veteran seargent the one with the powerclaws, the texture of the power claws is... simply amazing, beautifull. Who did it?

    'Cause it would be beautifull to see that in the whole SM texture. Just a.. "sugestion".

    Im not sure if anyone else has had this problem or its just my PC, but I had to do a fresh install of DC due to something else to do with DC.

    I know this is only beta so Im not moaning ( I think this is one great mod ) but when I came to uninstall this I was a real pain, had to go into safe mode to delete the data folder, it just wouldn’t delete whilst in normal windows, even under safe mode it took a while.

    Again Great mod which im really enjoying and looking forward to the finished version.

    EXCELLENT IDEA I was waiting to see that thing done sice forever , tried to do it myself by adding the ebps extention for melle from the grey knights, to other CC units but it screwed up the animations...
    -all the units that get the furious charge in the codex should have the leap ability of the grey knights from vanilla dow...

    by the way in the 2-end edition codex eldar banshees used to have a - LEAP ATTACK - ability (or was it only the exrach??) would you consider implementing that also - since it is codex anyway???

    You realize that includes ALL Orks, right? According to the latest gossip on the upcoming Ork Codex, ALL Orks get Furious Charge...by default.

    What I've done for now is give them a charge bonus that's activated by T1 research: Currently the charge bonus includes a 30% increase to speed, +10 to minimum and maximum damage, and a 33% decrease to damage received.

    still I have another suggestion for the orcs....
    they should have an ability which increases the rate of fire for their choppas during the charge and a few seconds after,
    (something like bladestorm) to translate the fact that they overwhelm their enemies with their numbers and the erratic waagh.

    ps. would you consider implementing the leap attack for the banshees?

    Flesh - The Nurgle Lord skin is excellent and I'm definitely a fan of the Khornate one. I've been waiting a while to see what would be done with the Nurgle Lord model.
