    been away for a few months, whats the status with this mod?

    I was trying the skirmish (mulitplayer) beta for a while but really want to get onto the campaign as that kept crashing out when I tried.

    i wondered if there are any deals being done between the other mods such as the ttru mod because a scorpion as a relic unit would be sublime

    i also think they have wraithguard models which i think eldar could use to soak up some fire

    loving this mod at the moment its spot on TT the infantry battles are great it just gets abit tiring at the end wiping out building for an hour

    I received the last of the planned model tweaks and textures from Medes last night. I just need to work in a new Skull Champion for Khorne Berserker squads and test out a few things. Then I'll wrap up everything and upload the Beta 2 update. Should hopefully be up in a couple of days, so consider this an early Christmas present

    Venji: Arrangements with other mods? Aside from dealings with the Armoured Company mod, not at the moment. The inclusion of new models in the mod is handled by Medes, so anything related to that is left up to him.

    Buildings too tough then? Any buildings in particular? I'd like to err on the side of caution and know what the general consensus is on that before I go crazy and start tweaking a bunch of stats...which I'm somewhat prone to do anyway

    Will post a definitive changelog for v0.2 either tonight or tomorrow

    awesome! sounds kool. i love the mod. stated an Eldar campaign last night. absolutely lush! love the extended camera range, where'd you get it?

    can't wait for beta 0.2.
    as for the buildings, not come across them much. but maybe a slight reduction in hp or something on offensive buildings. otherwise your infantry sit there getting pummeled whilst the hp bar of the buildng hardly budges. but that's all good cos it forces you to use vehicles and better tactics, like TT WH and proper battles should.

    The camera "mod" thread is around here somewhere. It's the greatest thing to happen to DoW since DoW's birth. It also makes getting great screenshots easy as you can really zoom in to capture the details.

    my main gripe is with the actual hq buildings and listening post and with turrets
    they either need a redux on hp or able to be hurt by str7 weapons which i think include plasma guns and a few others

    also i don't new too much about the new edition rules because i used to play 3rd edition ages ago but Heavy plasma cannons should be able to hurt buildings i reckon because at the moment i never upgrade them onto my demolisher tanks in favour of meltas

    and can i chaplain hurt vehicles?
    also make the tau photon grenades only do stun or break morale not both seeing as its so harsh to watch 3 squads of fire warriors wipe out 2 full tact squads and 2 full veteran marine squads without any casualties and no way to escape. i know your tweaks are usually the best cant wait to get my hands on some revamped chaos forces and IG sniper squads

    i can't wait for a patch ive just been playing 3 SM vs 3 Harder Tau on alvarus which is awesome for this kind of gameplay

    Heh, I just played Apocalypse Later on insane with me as SM allied with IG vs two orks. Took an hour, almost 1k kills, and every squad I had was Elite or higher. This mod kicks ass.

    On a side note, ignore my earlier question, as I saw that you're going to post a changelog soon anyway.

    Edit: Will using any of Hangar-8's banners or skins screw up any of your guys' work? And what exactly do the banners do? Do the chapter-specific banners only appear on the applicable armies?

    Do we want team colorable Warp Spiders? I would like to see them get the love since, now that SS are team colorable, they are the only Eldar unit that isn't.

    I can probably make them team colorable tonight.

    as no one answered my last question I will try again because I cannot get onto the firestorm forums..

    is this now working with campaign? Last time I tried it was crashing on any scripted map (but it wasnt supposed to work on campaign at all anyway).

    It has worked for me, although hero units seem to be completely invulnerable against all but opposing hero units (and some hero units seem to be invulnerable to others).

    Right now, that's the only thing preventing me from playing through the campaign with FoK.

    That was happening last time I tried, eldar farseer was utterly immune to damage...

    I just kept them occupied for as long as possible with turrets and terminators with thunderhammers..

    But it was the crashing out on hq maps and objective maps that ruined it for me.. despite the fact it was for muliplayer only so my own fault..

    I assume from what you said it works fully now (with the above exception) and maps will not crash?

    I didn't get that far, in all honesty. I decided not to go any further until this issue was addressed (and I guessed there'd be some crashes further into the campaign, anyway).

    Still, watching my farseer hold off a maxed out Tau army on her lonesome was pretty ammusing

    sorry, still nothing done on the campaign. Although i think the invulnerable commanders have been fixed but not the crashes in scripted maps.

    well, currently Mirage and I are the only active and official members of the team. BigFish use to be our official texture artist but real life work has called him back to the sea. He drops in once in a while though Oh and we have Thudo doing the AI

    On top of that we also have some freelance contributors like Megazogg, Fleshpoint, Ira and Vol to name a few. Without whom we could not possibly get to where we are currently.

    You know Medes, what would it cost to bribe you into doing wraith guard models? Now that would make me one happy puppy, especially doing the textures for them.

    It definitely would get even more people playing the mod. Especially Eldar players since it seems most of them fantasize about wraith guards.

    Will using any of Hangar-8's textures cause any problems with the textures currently in the mod? And how do the banners work? Will they automatically be applied to the army they correspond to? I ask because I saw that some of the banners are for armies that aren't preset in the game, and I assume that for the banners to apply, you'd have to create a color scheme for them.

    Hrmmmm - good point with the textures. In some instances, they won't show due to the model names being different. B&B sets shouldn't be a problem with regard to showing up. But yeah, you have to create a scheme and assign a badge and banner to that scheme. You can DL schemes that already have colours and badges / banners assigned - so just install them, select the scheme and everything should show

    I was talking about the perma-gold Eagle texture. Just a personal preference of mine, but I didn't want to screw up preexisting schemes.
