    I'm not sure about the 360 degrees arc of fire Khorney. I believe the same with VooDooMadMan - a blind spot behind the bunker. Bunker dishes out more pain on enemies when it's "front" faces them.

    Its not CoH....

    Just thought I would poke my head in and see whats going on.

    If it hasn't been done in a while...

    Second I noticed you guys still have pink icons in 3.1 tho im sure you guys fixed those in 3.5 right?

    Anyways.....
    I'm more interested in the single player aspect of DC and SS. I know you guys wanna perfect Multi-play first and thats cool. Just wondering if it was still a goal of the mod team to produce a single player meta-map style game like DC or SS (hopefully better then both).

    Perhaps... And I may be suggesting too much... But perhaps you guys could make one yourselves that puts both the DC and SS meta-map to shame. Considering the teams talents...

    F'n blood ravens blow... Tired of seeing them hailed as the THQ fanboyz seem to love the Blood Raven chapter... Still reeling as to why they didnt go Ultramarines or some other/any other legion... but I digress...

    Love the mod. Awesome game play all around.

    Prolly going to make an icon pack for chaos. I like alot of the icons you guys came up with but I gotta stick my hands in the mud and see if I can produce something that will complement the rest. Anyhow hope you guys don't mind.

    yeah don't worry, icons are covered. as you can see, we've re-vamped them with new borders and such, and we have a force organisation system aswell that needs to be displayed on them

    Just an observation on the icons, which look fantastic:

    The one with the red / blue boxes (flanking manuvre?); I'm gonna guess that the red boxes are representative of the players forces? If so they really should be blue. Red is the colour of the enemy, blue; friendly.

    Patman buddy; its nowt to do with that matey I would suspect (though of course will accept correction on) especially if the player is playing as Ultra Marines, Space Wolves or Imperial Fists...

    My notion comes from NATO standardisation, where blue and red are the colours used to identify friendly and enemy forces collectively.

    Since red is traditionally the colour used to denote something bad, emergencies, warnings etc, it only makes sense that the eneny is identified at a glance as a bad indicating colour; red!

    Either way, we digress from the thread.

    Heh...IMO when imperial guard can be represent in NATO standards or wear standard cammo uniforms space marine should look like frenzy raging bull and wear colors like you say representing something bad... to enemy of course 'cos they want to attract attention. They want warn enemy, show their disrespect and no fear whatsoever.

    First, I'd like to say I rescently found this mod.
    Second, Not sure if it has already been asked, there are close to 200 pages and I don't feel like looking at every single one, for the blacktemplar....do they have swordbrothern/emperor's champion? I'm getting DC tomorow and running SS right now.
    Third, any tips for someone who is planning on making a halvedspacemarine and quarterspacemarine full race mod? (They'll play the same as normal Spacemarines, only the textures will be different. I want them to be COMPLETELY seperate of normal Marines as well so I'm not talking about just a retexture mod)

    They sure do.... I highly suggest you check that mod out! Just be aware that it's an add-on to FoK, which means that you have to install that as well. But you really, really should give it a try anyway, so all's well.

    Monkfish - You need to patch your game to version 1.2 first: This comes in two patches, 1.1 and 1.2. After installing these you should be good to go

    Yes, the first page contains the most recent beta. We are gearing up for another release soon but don't let that stop you from downloading the current one.

    @Blasphemious - why don't you head on over to the official FoK forums (www.fok.dow-mods.com) and show us what you've done. Just make a thread in the Off Topic forum.

    Since (supposibly) this is the final release... Will the game info be up to par with DoW? I don't mean in play cuz Soulstorm should have been replaced with FoK, but I mean with captions telling you exactly what everything does. Cuz like with IG there are a lot of things similar (like conscripts) and without knowing much about rules no one will know how different they're suppose to be or Inquisitorial Storm Troopers who look like Kaserkin but no where near as good. Its just really confusing not knowing the differences between everything...

    Voodooman, was that a photoshop grechin? There should be a Christmas model for every army! lol (Santa Claws, Little helper grots, Red nosed Guard, Eldar in pjs, Santa's vindicator, Battlesuit decorated Christmasy, Snowcrons.) Of course this would be a lot of work and no way worth it, just wanted to get the christmas mood out there.

    while this isn't the final, final version, we are making sure we have things like tooltips relevant and updated - it should all make more sense in 3.5

    btw, inq storm troopers are troop choices meaning you can have up to 6 of them, in addition to 3 kasrkin squads

    But to be honest you or i can easily do something like this with photo... but this one is just from standard forum choice. Go to your profile and seek some christmas avs from relic. They put some good ones.

    But back to the topic...
    Its not final relese(hope). FoK just jump onto soulstorm but that isn't bad thinking, not everyone know TT and small general handbook can be helpful... and for some less experience players some tips and tricks and tactic can be game-savin.

    Khorney... fast as blood-god himself.

    A long time lurker finally springing up to maim my victims.

    I was wondering if FoK would include a campaign in V.3.5.

    Sorry if this is a stupid question but I just wanted to make sure.

    And if you guys release a campaign is it possible to make IG allied with SM?

    I love the skirmishes and it is truly amazing what you guys achieved in balance and enjoyable gameplay.

    The manual will be out with or before 3.5 is released. I'll try to get it out before, but we'll see. The manual team is trying to distill as much info into as small a space as possible. If all goes as planned you can get a solid over view of FoK, including what weapons to use against what units, in 5 or so pages.

    Wolfheart... lots of it is already in game and for sure models are brilliant. I think i see some of it on some other site.

    Have small question here. Like i see we exited about manual as about 3.5 but what manual have inside exactly? Im on to see a some more complex tactic and tips.

    The purpose of the manual to is to help those unfamiliar with FoK and TT. Gameplay in FoK is quite different from vanilla DoW and for someone new to the game that difference can seem insurmountable, so they stop playing. For example: I can't begin to count how many times the 'bug' of units not reinforcing has been reported. For as many people as take the time to report the bug there are probably twice as many who just stop playing. So, the manual's purpose is to help explain some fundamentals of FoK.

    As far as tactics go: well there will be a list of all units and weapons and what weapons do well against what units. You can draw tactics from that.

    Will flanking have any effect on tanks and infantry in FoK?? Because in vanilla it doesn't matter if you hit enemies from front or back. I ask because of that flanking icon you have for SM.
