well, me, being the maker of the mod gameplay and thus the "units" feel that the americans dont NEED and realistically shouldnt have too many different squads. The American's aim in and after WW2 was to create a streamlined army that was very standardised and easy to understand and use.
the Germans in WW2 however were facing manpower and economic shortages, and could not really support a nicely organisted Army for much longer after 1944 when most units were being re-fitted into Volksgrenadier divisions, made from the battle-weary left-overs from other divisions, and raw recruits. Therefore, the Germans also had need to make more "ad hoc" arrangements for squads, that could do the job intended and then get a role-swap and do something else...

whatever, the guy in camo are waffen ss, they didnt wear eagles on the helmet,
and besides, the camocover was worn ABOVE the helmet, so no markings could be seen...

Rolling up sleeves requires changes not only to skin textures, but also to the models! I dont know how to make models yet.
And the cammo suggestion for the tank is good, but I need to know if those skins are authentic skins before I add them.

Hey guys I have a question. I have been following both KMOD and the Commando Mod and Currently play Commando because of my game being version 1.7 and I was wondering if the skins from KMOd will work with my commando mod? Also, is there a fix for the KMOD problem and version 1.7 yet? I would like ot play both mods but like I said 1.7 really sucks and wont let me play KMOD... I .If anyone could tell me if those skins would work on commando that would be great. Thanks Kyranzor and Revoluci0n for your great mods!

Any skins works on ANY mod or ANY version, since it's only art files, not datas. (Unless a certain mod uses its own art files)
Although, you need to modify your WW2Art.sga file to use it online.(NOT using skins as a mod)

you're right, but some unit textures might need to be renamed. Take the fallschrijager unit for example, it is named 2ehrmacht in KMOD, but EC uses another name. You might also need to configure the contents of .abp files using text editor.

you can try replacing EC mod's 'DATA' folder with the DATA folder from my skinpack. (but backup your file first)
Kyranzor say on official forum Kmod, the 1.4 will come. Do you know if the Axis realism mod skins III will work ? or it will be necessary to developp a new Axix realism mod Skin IV ?

If kyran didnt change unit names or add additional units, then the skin pack should work, which is quite impossible, because in 1.4, you will find tons of new stuff.![]()

There will only be a few minor 'new stuff' in this upcoming release, in 2-3 days, because the main goal is to get 1.7 compatability, which except for one ability used by the american command squad is totally crash-free so far (unless we still havent found a crash or two..)
using Nsysusoloman's skins should work fine, because there are plenty of the standard units which can still use his skins.
Also, alot of Halftrack's skins will be included in this next release.

hmn... I have not yet played 1.4 yet, because my com broke down months ago.. I am using my brother's lousy com now.
1.4 should be good enough, using HT skinpack 2.0.
The reason I made some skins myself (like wehrmact, volks or mp) is because these skins were either corrupted (from HT skinpack 1.0) or unavailable. Otherwise, I'd prefer using HT skins for all.
I will have to try 1.4 first before I decide how to update skinIII.

Couldn't you of not used KMOD for this? I highly dislike how it changed the gameplay. I was hoping the No KMOD instructions would of just installed the skins, because I dislike game mods that change game's gameplay for nearly any game. Though I badly wish the Germans and Allies looked more like they should. This looked great until i saw MGs outrangeing snipers and when I first engaged the AI they had 2 x the infantry as i did and they only had 1 squad vs my 3 squads.. what gives? lol Once they got into range the MG nest killed everyone my sniper was totally useless because the MG fired farther than him.
This just destroyed the whole fun of the original game. Can you not make it just the skins themselves without the gameplay changes? It would be a gift to the whole community if it was, because not everyone wants to download a game mod just to get some new pretty faces for their soldiers. Because of KMOD I have to give this mod a big awful rateing despite how pretty it made all the units.
@ Nsysusoloman: Love the new swasticas and grenadier skinsBut what do i have to do to add the caps back on to the volks + change icon , change the ss back to the regular skin and add the bue circles under selected units. What files should i take out? Kyranzor said you might be able to help.

to recover the caps, go to:
\KMOD\Data\art\models\races\axis\soldiers\shared_textures
and rename the 'tex_ax_volksgrenadier.rgt' file to something else
then go to:
\KMOD\Data\art\models\races\axis\soldiers
in the 'volksgrenadier.abp' file,
remove the line "motz//motz"
*Rename them back to their original name if you want helmets again. (Don't know why you prefer those baseball caps, real soldiers wear helmets :P)

Doesn't seem to be working on the orrignal coh. I used a skin installer so i could play multiplayer games on the vanilla version as well with the new skins. any ideas ?

Ok thanks, The volks are back but with the wrong icon . Grenadiers from your skin pack have gone+ the swasticas on resouce point buildings and the swasticas on bunkers
. The rest is fine.

As for the ss, there were many types of uniform for them. Can you try getting used to them too? =)
I used the ss in medal of honor for my reference.

The panzergrenadier skins are located in:
KMOD\Data\art\models\races\axis\soldiers\panzergrenadier\panzergrenadier\model
delete them or replace them or configure them using photo CS2... whatever.

Its bad... very bad if people dont understand its a game ! I suggest to adapt this Axis realism mod skins III to the last Kmod 1.4 with patch : http://kmod.org/KMOD/kmod_builds/KMOD_v1.4+Patch.exe and do one file, an *.exe with skins+patch. Its not necessary to create new skins for the 1.4 Kmod, but only adapt the Axis realism mod skins III to units can receive them in the 1.4. I host you if necessary, or people accept to adapt the Axis realism mod skins III to the Kmod 1.4+patch

yes I agree IRGC , this would benefit the coh community greatly if you can release this independently. This is a beautiful piece of art, and just because there are ignorant people who cant learn history and have a one track mind , does not mean it should deter you from sharing your great work with the community.
