    RDN Tool Help

Hey, I just downloaded the RDN tools from relic and I've had.. issues.. with getting it to work.

    I don't know what
Unarchive the core files into the Data directory by executing the following in the Windows Command Prompt:
    > cd %HW2_ROOT%\Data
    > ..\tools\bin\archive -a Homeworld2.big -e %HW2_ROOT%\Data.
means.. the third line throws me off. And whenever I try and run the FXTool, I get a "Failed to path aliases" error. I read all the directions so I dunno what's wrong. Any help would be great.

Make sure you've set you're HW2_ROOT variable properly in the system Environment Variables, and make sure that the FXTool shortcut is set up correctly, exactly as the readme says.

Yes yes, I get that part. That's easy. But I don't know what they mean when they say unarchive core files with the command prompt. I can never do it because of improper syntax.

Because you have not installed the RDN package to the same directory as HW2. You don't need to either, just need to know what you're doing in the command prompt.

Let's say you installed the RDN package to C:\RDN\ and Homeworld2 is in %HW2_ROOT%\. In the command prompt, try:

    cd C:\RDN\tools\bin
    archive.exe -a %HW2_ROOT%\Data\Homeworld2.big -e %HW2_ROOT%\Data
    ~
