    Balancing Maps

    Ok..well...iam participate at this community since the CoH beta. I really appreceate all mappers efforts to make good maps. One thing i come across with maps/mods...they are totaly imba in certain cases. OK here is the deal. I offer my time to help you testing maps. Not only my time, but the time of my friends also. I want to see this game alive and vital. Because i love it so mutch. You have to sit there with a clock to see if all points are REALLY balanced. CoH is not your average RTS. Map balance meant a lot of testing. Thats why. I KNOW there are some very talanted people out there, but it seems that they have no acces to peeps who help them balancing their maps. I know the next thing might sound harsh but : 80% and 90& of the mods outthere just broke the game as it is intendet to be. IF YOU ARE INTRESTED...in balancing your maps. I try to help you. I hope we find more people to help out to make those really great maps recognized by a wider audience. As far as mods go...well...mods for CoH are useless as long as there is no model importer. Everyting done till this point isn screwing up the game to personal favors. Ask yourself...WHY IS NOOONE PLAYING YOUR MOD ONLINE...?

    As stated i just offer help here. Feel free to contact me over ICQ or XFIRE...thats blacklabel79 and 310-071-859 We also offer a teamspeak server where we can discuss things.

    Lets try to keep this alive but also keep balance being a part of it. Because as soon as people realize there is an map exploit or advantage they will use it no matter what.

    Get in contact....cu

    If we want to have a community mapppack it needs to be balanced. Help out. We ALL KNOW..there is a lack of 1vs1 maps and 4vs4 maps in particular. DOW had several community mapppacks. But coh is diffrent. So much depens on the ritght setup of point and the right setup of cover and whatnot. Help to utilize the creativity that is around here to develop the experience as a whole for ALL.

    I might have a go at map making sometime in the future so your help will be great. But first things first, i gotta get my Machinima: EP1 done and the map making for that is hard enough atm not to mention the skinning etc.

    Anyways once i get my Machinima on its feet i may start to make maps, so i'll contact you sometime in the future if i remember.

    PS: Everyone give me your support on this project. We are a group of 3-4 atm but we want to make it great.

    Well, I also noticed the amount of maps being made in general has dropped drastically... :o.

    Either way, I'm making maps for Europe in Ruins now,so unfortunately I have no reason to post them here since they don't contain capture-points.

    (If you have the mod or are interested in getting into the mod, www.europeinruins.com . Could use additional input on my map)

    Hi.

    I just came up with that idea after i had a long discussion about new maps in our TS with a friend. We where bored and tried some maps. I made the fun and sit there with a stopwatch to see if those points are really fair placed. It was fun finding out. We did barracks starts and "straight-to-the-capzone" starts.

    I wonder how relic does that kinda thing. Since time is a very important factor for mapcontrol.

    @optac...a CoH "film" ? Cool.

    @Unknown...why not. Sure.

    Theres a marker ability in the worldbuilder, it allows you to measure the distances between two points.

    That means it's very important for balancing, but I doubt everyone uses it .
