I have to say, despite how crappy my rolling for ISTs are, there're already 15 failed participants in this round (last round's result+2). Let's hope they're not yourself.

Brian... Serious mistake on my entry. My Exarch does NOT have Fast shot. It has CRACK shot. Fire Dragon's don't get fast shot. (reroll wounds)
That said, I would have probably won the turn two strategy roll to more or less the same result, but this would not give me a turn 1 win.

Edit: The result are done. Orion, sorry you have to stay with the 18 losers of the round. I restarted the game after the saves from ISTs' initial firing.

Actually, you only have to redo from after the enemy's shooting phase onwards, since that's where the error happened and I would rather keep the enemy's overheated plasma result :P

Hmmm... How much is it for 2 Ravagers? If they fit under 200pts it could be nasty. I wouldn't fancy my chances against them.
Or even one firing first with 2 Disintegrators and a Dark Lance would be nasty!
What else... Do Grotesques have ranged wepaons that are any good? They can only be hurt by S6 and above weapons. So small arms fire is useless against them.

I'm guessing next round will be something like ~20 warriors with 2 blasters and 2 dark lances. Pretty much the same as the stormtroopers but with deadlier big guns and more meatwalls (though with worse saves).

RE: The Dark Eldar entry, my money's on... well basically what I entered to be honest. Best array of firepower in the Dark Eldar army.
Incidentally BG... I do think auto striking second kind of cripples a lot of the vehicle entries, especially as so far opposition seems to be packing serious AT weaponry. A squad can soak up some shooting but a vehicle goes down from one bad hit, or at least gets to do nothing for a turn while their opponents get another shot. Had I known about that latter point I'd have left the Ravager at home and stuck with the Defiler.
Not saying to change anything, just some feedback.

Auto striking second was part of the rules from the start. If you took a tank knowing full well the rules of what you where facing it is your own fault no one else's.

Hey guys, don't be too worry at this moment. It's just Round 2! Anything can happen in the remaining rounds. If my entries are hard, then it'll be hard for everyone.
n0z: Of course firing second will be a problem, however everyone do suffer the same problem of reduced firepower.
And they do in the rules already, so it's actually a risk for everyone to take their entry: For example, picking a group of 5+ or worst saves will face the threat of being heavily damaged before they can fire.

Actually, I want different SCs to have some unique systems. As a foreword, the 3rdSC will be a Team Battle and involves some strategy determinations among the team itself.
It is a passing thought, neither a complaint nor a compliment. It will just be interesting to see. I have no issues with the challenge as it stands, besides the fact I'm not top!

As I mentioned, my rolling initially for this round is really crappy and made me go berzerk. But after I have some rest for a day the Dice God seems to accept my deal/bribes/(whatever you may call that) and intervenes the matches once more so this round is just disastrous as the last round in the end. Remember, don't curse me, curse the Dice God:P
Next time, Eldar. Plenty of choices available out there so make your guesses and do some simulations.

Hmmm.... Well I should defo have a few men to shoot back with unless they have the mother of all shooting rounds. Then my shooting back should really put the pain on them. But overall I think I really need them to break first round for me to beat them.
Hmmm... If they manage to kill 4 of my men (Could be more, but I am hoping)
That means I would have a plaguebanner. a flamer and a bolter left to shoot them with.
That should kill around 6-10 of them. So they will need to take the LD test. I really want to get them below half strength for that extra -1, but I doubt I will. A second round of shooting from them, could easily wipe me out!!!!
Brian General---> Could you remove my melta gunner first please? I prefer to have the rapid firing bolter for more possible wounds against the DE. Cheers.
Rather similar to the last round really and I can see people doing about as well as last time to >_> Oh well hopefully my guys will get some kills rather than running off the first chance they get.
